About Project Fame: Project Fame West Africa is a regional music talent reality TV Show produced in Lagos Nigeria and aired across West Africa. The show features contestants from Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Auditions are conducted in these four West African countries to select a total of 24 contestants who then advance to the next stage and converge in Lagos, where the judges will weed off 6 contestants, leaving 18 to advance to the semi finals. From these 18, only 15 will advance to the Academy where they will be drilled and trained in the art of music for weeks.
The show runs for a total of 10 weeks, during which one contestant will be evicted every week for the duration of the show. One winner will emerge and win the star prize, while first and second runners up go home with consolation prizes.

The rest of my comments:
Steve: He opens his mouth and you don't expect that sound. He's so soulful. I actually think it wasn't fear that got to him, the movements affected his breath control and he was trying hard to maintain his flow that's why his voice became shaky esp. at the bridge. He needs more practice with that. Also, I wished his eyes could just emote in line with the character of the song. You know the lover boy thingy, it stayed quite bland. Not really his fault though, it is his kind of person.
Winner: I loved fierce Winner. I actually disagree with Bibi about her not connecting. It was actually the crowd not connecting maybe because they are not familiar with the song or waiting for 'the moment'. It wasn't all shouting too, she actually didn't sing it all loud. I guess it was just jarring seeing her out of character. She managed it well enough.
Kitay: Voice texture - Check, Stage presence - check, Emoting - check. He stayed in character from the first beat to the last. One of the best performances for today. Warri no dey carry last abi, lol
Mirabel - Felt like she was lip-syncing or you know when you sing to yourself with your headphone at full blast. Her costume and fierce look on point. She looked the part but didn't sing half the part.
Solomon - I think he is actually one of the best improving contestant on the show. He has upped his stage presence game and his voice texture is just getting better and better. Those his eyes though, never really showing emotion. Felt like he was rushing at a point but it was a good one.
Gabriel - He has this strong accent thing going on that shows mostly when he's talk-singing, it makes any song he sings sound like an African classic but when he got into the song that vibe faded somewhat. He has a good range too. His stage presence has also improved and he doesn't look odd moving as I said last week.
Elizabeth - From the first note I just concluded, the song is wrong for her texture. I wished Oluchi did the song instead, her texture is more within the range. She got the moves right with her nice bod anyway. The singing was just not there for me.
The contestants on probation - I don't think Solomon deserved to be on probation. Pere and Winner are on probation because they already put themselves on a high scale and nothing except brilliance would be accepted from them. Mirabel and Yusuf, well deserved.
My best 3 for today: Okiemute, Kitay and Eli.

i agree with all your comments on each contestants except winner. winner is one of my fav but she didnt cut it today at all. i completely agree with bibie. she was screaming. she didn't sound good, i started doubting how goood her voice is after today tbh.

Today's show seems dull but all the same, let me give my critique.
Blessing - I still don't know how the likes of Mirabel, Dapo and Yusuf got direct entries and she had to wait for wild card. She did well but needs work on her high notes - she sounded a bit rough and 'scratchy' when she pitched.
Benjamin - Unique baritone but I didn't so much like his performance of the song. It was like taking Jason Derulo to church. The song lost its sensual appeal but I guess he's in the academy now and all those issues will be addressed.
Pere - I agree with TY mix. He sounded strained a bit at the start and his end notes were going off. The backup also handicapped him by singing the same thing with him especially in the chorus. They could have helped better with the harmony. Today, may not have been his best but it doesn't remove the fact that he is the King of Falsetto as far as this competition is concerned. Those falsetto moments were lit.
Okiemute - This girl means business. She managed the softness despite her uncertainty during the week.Even her soft comes with such fierceness. However, the instrumentation sounded more reggae than pop and the back up were reminiscent of those Bob Marley ladies, they were just missing the high headscarves lol.
Yusuf: Drake? Nah? Bolanle was right, he did his own version which was more in sync with the 'Tekno on the beat kinda thing'. At a point, his words became garbled like he was eating hot yam. But he did better than before. More control minus playfulness. Still,very average vocals.
Dapo: Okay let it not be like I'm trolling on the cutie. He was better today. Had his best moments towards the end of the song. He didn't pace himself well during the verses and had some breath control issues. Enough said on the kid. We all know how old Justin Biber was when he started singing but he sure sounded nothing like Dapo. Please, conjure his voice to mature faster.
Eli: That guy's tone and voice texture is pure for days. He brought the pop feeling back to the show. I actually think his shyness has an appeal of his own and he shouldn't try to be something not natural to him.
Oluchi: I had similar thoughts with Praiz. She's still not clearly audible with her words. She actually improved with her stage presence but her emoting was flat, just a breeze through. No rising intensity in the performance. An Adele song should come with something stronger even though I don't expect her to mimic the original exactly.

Honestly I agree with those on probation except Pere and am sure he's going to make it..I really don't like Winner she seems proud to me but that's just my opinion and I can actually state instances where have seen her act and talk like "whatever".I really can't wait for the next elimination show bcus the contestants were been bias last elimination show but it doesn't really matter because I think they did what's best for themselves so I totally agree but however, I wanna see how the contestants will vote for those on probation next week because I have a feeling that the guys will vote for other guys on probation..Adding to my "Winner" opinion I actually think she sings like she's having issues with someone and I haven't seen any of her performance that I like so far..Her rendition of "hello" wasn't what I excepted from her and her cover of "bad blood" is a total disaster and I say this things because a lot of people know these songs and they want more from her..Ok I will stop now 😊

I know this season is going to be tough for judges making right decisions, the show for today was too dull, for me the contestant that perform better tonight was Kitay, Steve, Gabby, Okebutie, Oluchi, Dapo, Eli and Pere, others should be on probation. I know Pere will be saved, Solomon and Winners as well, this might be the end for Yusuph and Mirabel....... keep voting for favourite contestant....

I commend the judges in all their judgements. The contestants need some confidence,they need to be uplifted. After winner's presentation I became more afraid because she is not versatile and she is my person. Pls Winner u need put up the attitude I thought u had. Seriously if yusuf got to be saved this time,it means the elimination procedure needs to be changed because yusuf has flop on so many occasions. pls vote mostly for Pere and Winner my people.

After watching Solomon's performance, I stopped for a minute to appreciate how good Kaffy was with the contestants. That song required that dude to move and dance more. Whoever told him it was cool to stand in one place for more than 1 minute doesn't have his interest at heart.

Now let me comment properly. First and foremost, who drew that eye brow for winner? That make up artist is wicked, that Mirabel's outfit sef is funny with d rubbish she was singing. My take sha, mirabel and Yussuff will be going home. Let me go and vote for Pere, I still love him and I m sure he will scale through probation. I so much love Steve, had to watch his performance again and again.. All d best to all of them, still angry Favour left sha when she should be in the top 6 for final and yes Dapo still sings like a child, I kept on hearing a child's voice in that sorry song.

I absolutely love Kitay however this performance by Okiemute is what makes me want her to win because I believe she would benefit the most from it. She works hard and has a lot, a lot of potential, like a diamond in the rough and winning PF would help polish her and she'd be a force to be reckoned with.. I believe Kitay will be a success without PF, he's just that amazing. My top 2 for sure.

Chai who did Winner's eyebrows???

OK TBH This week's performance was lacklustre and I did not enjoy it that much. Here are my thoughts on each performance:
1. Blessing (7/10)- Song was not the best choice for her voice, but she did well and had some pitch issues.
2. Benjamin 7/10)- He lacks stage presence (i am sure he can work on that). He needs more work on his vocals because he is kinda of a lazy singer.
3. Pere (7.25/10)- He was off beat and flat in some places. IMO he should have sung the chorus more to allow him to showcase his beautiful falsetto voice. I knew he was going to have problems with songs requiring him to move around.
4. Okiemute (8.125/10)- Again the best performance of the night as far as I am concerned. She worked the stage and delivered a very good performance. She wasn't perfect because it isn't easy to do a Beyonce's song.
5. Yusuph (6.25/10)- Worst of the night. The starting was flat and then the whole song went downhill from there. He did, however, do well towards the end.
6. Dapo (7/10)- Beginning was kinda flat, but he picked up and did a commendable job!! He used his light voice better here.
7. Eli (8/10)- A very good delivery!! The high parts of the song were actually really good. This was his best performance till date IMO. I did not like the beginning of the song and his stage presence is still lacking.
8. Oluchi (8.025/10)- The feel, vocal delivery and performance were on point. However, she was flat in few places. I disagree with Praises' Criticism concerning her performance.
9. Steve (7.75/10)- Good performance and stage presence was okay (better than before). His voice was a bit shaky and it would have been better if he had moved less.
10. Winner (7.5/10)- I was disappointed. However, I liked what she did with the song. She was a bit shouty. I hope she does better on elimination night and is saved. She does need to work on her attitude also.
11. Kitay (8.05)/10- Very good performance and yes his tone is fantastic. However, I do want to see him perform a song that requires him to move around. His songs have been ballads that don't require him to move a lot.
12. Mirabel (7/10)- Looked lovely and chic tonight. I actually noticed that she could sing today. Definitely her best vocals yet. She was shouty most times.
13. Solomon (6.75/10)- Use of falsetto was really good. However, he sounded pitchy and I could not hear his low notes most of the time.
14. Gab (6.75/10)- He did belt out some good notes. The song choice was wrong for his voice type and he was flat in the beginning.
15. Elizabeth (7.25/10)- A good performance. Work is a terrible song to sing live. She did try her best.
Elizabeth should have been put on probation with Mirabel, instead of Winner and Dapo should have been on probation with Solomon and Yusuph, instead of Pere.
So far i am not really happy with the level of talent this season yet! I am hoping they improve in weeks to come.
You arent a good judge. Yusuf 6.25 and you said he had a bad performance. Yusuf is hyped. Okiemute is the deal for me, the hate she is receiving is d equivalent of wat chike was getting during the voice
Okiemute is not receiving any hate. I think people like her because of her energy and vocals. The only problem she has is she easily gets carried away, and leaving her mouth opened in the process.
+Adisa Akomolede Did you even read through all the comments? Yusuph got 6.25 and that was lowest score, hence he had a bad performance. Okiemute had the highest score because she was the best and also one of my favs. So i don't get where your comment is coming from.
