About Project Fame: Project Fame West Africa is a regional music talent reality TV Show produced in Lagos Nigeria and aired across West Africa. The show features contestants from Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Auditions are conducted in these four West African countries to select a total of 24 contestants who then advance to the next stage and converge in Lagos, where the judges will weed off 6 contestants, leaving 18 to advance to the semi finals. From these 18, only 15 will advance to the Academy where they will be drilled and trained in the art of music for weeks.
The show runs for a total of 10 weeks, during which one contestant will be evicted every week for the duration of the show. One winner will emerge and win the star prize, while first and second runners up go home with consolation prizes.

My review of the performances:
Yusuf - He started so controlled but when the audience started cheering, his usual restiveness took over. Still his most controlled performance ever. His cracked voice seems to have recovered too. Overdo can kill the boy though. He didn't agree to stop singing even when the track ended and Andrenaline just had to dash him one last chord lol. Decent performance for the genre but too comfortably in his zone to be counted as an exceptional one.
Oluchi - Well, I know Omawumi is one of the baddest female vocalists in Nigeria so not easy to carry off her songs but Oluchi needs to do something really urgent about her breath control. She was shouting to mimic the texture of Omawumi's voice. She shouldn't have done that since she already has a husky texture. The panting was just too audible. Costume on point especially the shoes was just in character with the story in the song. Just a fair performance.
Pere - I was scared for him that he would RnB the song but my fear came to nothing. His tone was amazing and for the first time, he actually left the brotherly praise worship singer thingy. He grooved the song and stage nicely. Pere - re - re - re. Nice one.
Kitay! That OMG feeling. He came in and it was like being fed gradually from an amazing dish. I like that his performance always follows a pattern, a good introduction, interesting middle and a climax that wants you hanging on forever till the end. He's a complete package. He made the most of the ending to show his vocal dexterity especially for a song that's mostly repetitive in structure. I concur Kitay is hot!
Mirabel - One thing definite about her, PF has brought her out of her shell. She tried her best to be in character for this song but it's still the same old thing of coming across as Karaoke-ish. She missed the beat once and also went off key when ad-libing. Even though she was doing so much, it looked just like an act and didn't really create a connection with the audience. I still strongly feel her strength doesn't lie in singing. Fair try.
Winner - Pleasant surprise. Yes, she has moved before but this was different. She was into the song and brought out a new side of her. Despite all the movements, her vocals was still steady and resonant. I like this new Winner and she's proving those who have tagged her a limited singer wrong. Winner's mastery of her low registers almost makes the original dim in comparison to her version. Lovely performance.
Elizabeth! who would have thought she could top the Simi song she performed? I love love what she did here. In fact, her tomboy side is so much more endearing. Her transitions super smooth and amazing. She was just lit! I'll be rewatching that.
Eli - He's settling into the boss act. Nice delivery. He has grown so much with his stage act. He's just a unique one.
Okiemute! Wawuu! That girl was made to sing! Even most male singers would struggle with Phyno's song cos of his unique style and texture but this girl just shone from start to end. Spellbound delivery. Everything check.
Dapo - He's really coming into his own. That song has like minus real singing potential yet he was able to sing it through. Lovely. He had some little breath control issues at some point and a rhythm lag but all in all it was nice.
Today was generally amazing, so my top 5 are actually performances that were unforgettable. Meanwhile, Falz's appearance spiced up things too. Joseph and Bolanle be acting fake surprised lol.
My top five for today - Okiemute, Kitay, Elizabeth, Pere And Winner.

lola opanuga nope the band was still playing when Kitay did his last lines. And I didn't say Yusuf's was necessarily a bad thing but it just looked liked an overkill to get more reaction from the crowd. A good performer should know when to stop.

Emeka's performance is great. He was not last years' winner but he is a ''living star'', coming out stronger and stronger'' and a down to earth person destined to be successful. I can see it.
Okiemute has strong star qualities.Nigerians and Deltans are proud of you. she is naturally talented, confident. she delivered the Pyhno's song so well that i started dancing. Phyno will be happy and proud of you. Okiemute brought that Ibo accent in the song which was good (Phyno has a strong ibo accent). You are likely to win babe!
Elizabeth is also great at what she does. She has a noticeable Yoruba accent which helped to deliver Tiwa savage ft Olamide song titled'' standing ovation''. she is also likely to win.

I watched Kitay, Lizzy and Okiemute's performances more than 5 times! No exaggeration. Those are my diamonds! I will ensure they get to the finals, I'm ready to spend my money on three of them. Now to the performances:
It's amazing to see that everybody is growing o... I couldn't pick any bad performances tonight although Oluchi and Mirabel could use some more work. But for ahmazeball performances tonight, KITAY, OKIEMUTE AND ELIZABETH for President, VP Admin and VP Special Duties!!!!
On the individual performances, here's what i thought;
*DAPO*: Our cuddly baby boy is now a man!!!!! Awwww!!!! Maybe it's the attraction to Mirabel that has matured him but I sha like this Dapo. But for tonight's performance, I felt like I was listening to a lip-sync by Lil Kesh at one of these shows.... Nothing different from what I already know.
*ELI*: I think Gabriel poured anointing oil on this boy's head yesterday before leaving cos he did this song better than I expected. However, this dancing something is it that they cannot rub oil on his waist so he can move small ni? Then he'll still be running away from the girls too.... Ogbeni touch their bumbum na since they're shaking it for you.... Uncle Ben say u should be using your props o!!!
*ELIZABETH*: "Your boo is back from her vacation" This geh is a razz geh sha *lol* I'm beginning to see Kitay's influence on her and she even performed like him today (Played around and then sang a bit)... very cool. Great performance Lizzy. Breath control on point... was scared for her after last week's performance but she's BACK!!!!
*KITAY*: "They say I'm rude I concur!!" Warrrrrriiiiiii their fada left ynash!!!!! They don baff? He's sha the warri version of Yusuph but with better vocals and more creative. The way he ended sha.............. 100%
*MIRABEL*: I'll like to commend the stylist for the amazing job she does with Mirabel.... she never fails to make her look like a thousand bucks. I'm so glad Miraaaa....ahahaha... is out of her shell but mehn with the way men have tightened belts since week 1, she's the weakest right now.
*OKIEMUTE*: Okiemute you are good! Okiemute you are great!! Okiemute you are amazing!!! I've watched her performance like three times to finally say this "OKIEMUTE YOU HAFF BAGO O!!!!!!"
*OLUCHI*: Nice performance and acting but there was more shouting than singing. I know she'll do better on elimination night... I just hope it's not too late by then.
*PERE*: Pereee...ehehehe has broken the calabash of shyness o..... Oshey Alubarika. Please was that his girlfriend in red dress shinning all her teeth ni? Twas nice to listen to him do a song that didn't need his falsettos and have him do it so well.
*WINNER*: Ehn Winner don vex!!!!!!! No more Adele standing in the corner again o.... See sweggu dripping everywhere mehnnnn!!!!! I love the fact that she made sure she was singing as much as she was performing... Her breath control was perfect for most of the performance. That rap tho..... Bwahhahahhahaha!!!! She finally learned to engage the crowd.... Yayyyyy!!!!!!
*YUSUPH*: Definitely a crowd pleaser but honest truth be told, he still doesn't cut it for me. I was entertained no lies, but I wish I could hear his voice ( the one from auditions) some more.... the voice Cobhams tagged "Asa Plus" I hope he gets better.
Overall, it was a wonderful night!!!! How many people are going home this weekend? Who do you think is getting the boot?

MY VERDICT, The two senior lovebirds (Liztay) keeps helping each other get better and brings on their A' games.. The immature ones under duvet keeps bringing an F' game. issokay, Okiemute is one beast mehn. I thought the judges were abit considerate but unfair choosing Eli over pere,its understandable that Eli wont get enough votes and hes ghanaian but its almost sure Pere would be saved... Oluchi sounds like a tamed chicken. Yusuf is still the baddest money making machine for MTN, so long he doesnt make top 5, im still Ok for nw..Left to me any of the other 5 can go home asides Kitay,lizzy,okiemute,pere and eli..
