If you're new here, we're Ashley & Christian, and we're on a journey to 100 countries :) And giving you our ryanair trip report and review!
After spending some time in Bulgaria (and posting our move to Alaska in the middle), we're heading to our next country - Italy! We are flying from Sofia to Rome on everyone's favorite (jk) airlines, Ryanair! Ryanair has repeatedly won the title of Europe's worst airline, and we are ~~so~~ excited to try it out today. We've spent hours combing through horror stories, reading up on tips, and just trying to do everything possible to make this easier, and we think we did a great job! We pre-printed boarding passes, pre-purchased seats and in cabin bags, made sure our bags were small enough, and got to the airport early with plenty of time to spare.
Flying to Italy with Ryanair was a VERY financially stable thing to do, with our flights, bags, and seat selection only costing $50 per person.
We provide our honest ryanair review and ryanair trip report, so stick around!
We're heading out of Sofia Airport and flying into Ciampino airport in Rome. We take the metro to Roma Termini, train to Naples, and then the circumsuviana train down to Sorrento!
We are SO EXCITED to show you around Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, as well as head up to Rome and Florence soon.
Thank you so much for following our journey here aaaaaand

The orange bathroom is a vibe and I’m here for it! The view out of the living room though?! 👌🏼
I know!! that was the selling point 😂
Really good report enjoyed it! However i have do disagree massively on them being the WORST airline. For me i use them alot and touch wood have never had any problem. I guess when i know what to expect its maybe a little easier 🤣 but regardless great video and im subscribed ❤
Haha thank you!! We did have a really good experience! I was expecting so much different from what I'd heard from others but it was a really good flight for the price! Thank you 🤗
Can you share the dimensions of your carry one please? I’ll be traveling next week with RyanAir
we have the away carry-on size! 21.7" x 14.4" x 9"
Ryanair is Europe's second largest airline after Lufthansa German Airlines, despite everyone hating them, and you can really see why in this video! Cheap and you get what you pay for. In Europe EVERYONE uses Ryanair, which is very different to the US (I think) where most people still fly the full-service airlines. Whether it's Germans, English people, Belgians and Irish going on vacation, Eastern European people visiting the rest of their family somewhere else in Europe or even business travelers and American tourists. (The worst airlines in Europe are British Airways and WIZZAIR btw)
Definitely get what you pay for! But can’t complain for $50 😂
Why would they stamp your passports if u traveling withing europe??
We’re not Europeans, and Bulgaria is not part of the Schengen zone as of now, so we have to get stamped when re-entering the Schengen area.
