I cannot thank you enough for this video! I get so nervous traveling in big cities, and especially when it's totally foreign to me. We are arriving at odd times and i'm so grateful to you for this valuable information to help us be prepared and know what to expect!!!
I've been watching "know before you go" videos for weeks now and yours was the clearest and best prep video to use the vaporetto. Now if I can talk you into doing one for Rome, I'd be all set! :P Thank you for doing these!
Yeah this woulda been great to watch before I went, I just said "Well I'm gonna mess up and maybe get lost so lets not plan much the first night" and right I was lmao. 2 hours later I figured it out and got to the hotel, but never struggled once after that
The Vaporetto is the single best winning bar bet I've ever used: I bet you can't name the city where all of the busses have just ONE WHEEL: Venice: they only have a STEERING wheel. Drink's on me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This just took all the stress of how to get from the train station to where we want to go in Venice. This is the best, straight forward video to watch. You are my rock stars.
Thank you so much. I'm getting stressed planning our journey and this video has been sooo helpful. Best video yet on travelling around venice. I'm very visual, so seeing before I arrive really helps. Ace video
You guys are great! So much effort to explain each and every thing so clearly!! Thank you so much! You have truly saved me from some travel anxiety that I had for my trip to Venice for next week!! 😅😅
Thank you for showing the steps to purchasing tickets and riding the vaporetto. I find this the stressful part of getting around anywhere new, especially if a different language is involved, and to see how its done is very reassuring
This is how you do a step by step…always use RUclips to ‘see’ how to navigate transit points like train stations, airports, etc…few are this good. Great concept to use question and answer, too. Well done…and we arrive at Zaccaria tomorrow. Thanks
Thanks for the video!! We are taking a 9 day cruise in October but have 3 days to explore Venice prior to the cruise. We will definitely do this water bus
the most helpful video about vaporettos so far. it will be our first time and i absolutely have no idea but now i have an idea how and where to get a ride!
great video, so beautifully explained. Highly appreciated. I live in NYC and helped so many tourists buy metro cards, so I know the pain of not knowing.
This is hands down the best video on how to buy a ticket and read the timetable of vaporettos. I’m arriving in Venice late at night by train and am a little nervous making my way to my hotel near the Rialto stop!
Thank you so much for this detailed explanation. I was looking at the vaporetto maps and feeling overwhelmed but feeling much better about navigating them now. Can't wait to check out more of your videos
Thank You! I watched other videos on the same topic but they were not as clear and as informative as yours! I'm heading to Venice in 2 days and feel much more at ease on how to use the Vaporetto!
Yuo are the bests and more descriptive person…. I’m traveling very often but now I’m will more!!! Thank you and keep doing such a great work!!! I’m very impressed how both of you do all this tutorials, excellent!!!!!! 100 stars…
These practical, detailed videos are incredibly helpful. I also love that you have the person asking questions like visitors would. Thank you so much for making them!
This is a fantastic video! The step by step walk through and tips are wonderful. I am planning on going on a cruise with our start in Venice, not sure what I should see and get around but this helps understand how people can get around.
Thank you for this clear video! We will be in Venice for three days in May and I was a bit nervous about the Vaporetto! But your video has definitely put me at ease. Now I will watch your walking in Venice video. Good job!!
Super useful, clear & concise video, many thanks! I had looked at the vaporetto map and was confused by all the lines, and you made it easy to understand! :)
Thank you for your very clear video. Very good for tourists. It helped to remove my anxieties about taking the boat especially bringing luggage onto the vaporetto. I can see that the transfer is quite flat and the gap is quite small.
You're welcome, it's great to know we managed to reassure you about that! The vaporetto operators will often help you on and off the boat too, so no worries about that. 😊
Your video was great, it helped us a great deal, but be warned if you want to use the Vapor Etta, we had to wait for sometimes, the 2nd or 3rd ferry, as it was totally full to the point of a human crush. Some people were getting very distressed. It’s not a comfortable ride, but Morano was lovely and not crushed, so go there
This is very helpful as in all the other videos they doesn't explain this in detail and I like to know everything I can so I don't go crazy when I'm there 😅 still more than 2 months to go but I'm already excited! Greetings from Argentina
been to a cafe near santa lucia for lunch on 2/10/22, after trying the gondola. however, I could not afford to explore much as we're in a large group (nearly 30). and today, we'll fly back to kuala lumpur via istanbul from milano malpensa. looking forward of re-visiting venice in future ;-)
Ciao. We were in Venice on our Honeymoon 38 years ago. We took the water taxis's. They were so Italian. They all had a name. The Rapido, was the non rapido, it was the slowest of all the water taxis. The Directo, was the indirecto. Its made all stops and was the slowest getting to our destination. The Accelerator, was the non accelerator. It was a complete dog and took forever to get up to speed. If you want to take your wife on a Gondola ride and not spend a lot, they have communal gondolas that criss cross the canals. The fun ones are the ones that you had to stand up in, making the crossing. Andiamo!!
This is very helpful! Thanks for sharing this, might as well share this to friends who plan to visit Venice! I always think that travels are made easier when you have the best travel gears and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for dream vacation destination like this. Thought I'd share it to you guys too!
I just got back from Italy, and trying to understand the vaporetto system was the most confusing part of the trip. It almost seems as though it is intentionally confusing. Many of the boats don’t have the routes displayed, and some boats don’t have which line they are displayed on the outside. It’s a great way to see the city, but bring plenty of patience and time with you. Trying to understand the nuances of the route map was a lost cause for me. Thanks for trying to make some of this understandable.
It was such a nice surprise to run into you!! Thank you so much for supporting what we do, it means the world to us. I hope you'll enjoy the rest of your time in this beautiful city! -Luna
@@NomadCitello Thank you Luna and before we visited your videos were the one we watched with family. It was helpful. Still now can't believe how much surprise we got when bumbed and able to see you in person. Had a wonderful time in Venice, Murano and Burano. Visited Verona what a beautiful place Italy, very kind Italian's after visiting Italy my respect to Italy and Italians have double folded.
Congratulations on the video showing with details how to ride a Vaporetto in Venice. I would like to know if line 2 that arrives at Ferrovia would not be the fastest way to S Marco Giardinetti (Piazza de S Marco)
Thank you so much for your detailed videos!!! We are going on our first trip to Venice and will be arriving by train in st Lucia. I wasn't sure how we be able to use the water bus to get to our stay . This helped so much
Thank you so much for this video. My fiancee and I will be in Venice next Saturday and we've been pretty nervous about figuring out how to get to our AirBNB and this helps a lot!
Thank you so much for this video, very helpful! Can you please guide me, we will be going to Marghera cruise terminal and we're looking for most convenient and affordable option, we will be staying near near Ramo Quinto Gallon area. Thank you in advance. 🙏🏻 also since we're tourists any open suggestions on any important hack will be much appreciated
Hello Laurie, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, we're not very familiar with cruises, so we're not sure where exactly the Marghera terminal is located. Our suggestion, as we recommended other viewers who asked about cruise terminals, is to ask the cruise company directly about transportation, because they are definitely more familiar with all the possible connections. In general, Marghera can be reached by bus from Piazzale Roma. For more tips and hacks, check out our other videos, including the recorded live events: you'll find a lot of useful info for your trip!
Firstcof all,God bless you both for such a nice vedio on Venice transportation system, request web site to download the map and timetables of water bus, gandola, bus and tram in Venice.with full regards jayin desai
Hello Jatinkumar, thank you for your comment. On www.actv.it you'll find maps and timetables for all public transport, while gondola are private and don't have fixed maps and timetables, you just get in them whenever you see one around 😊
I cannot thank you enough for this video! I get so nervous traveling in big cities, and especially when it's totally foreign to me. We are arriving at odd times and i'm so grateful to you for this valuable information to help us be prepared and know what to expect!!!
This is exceedingly helpful; I often find myself avoiding public transit just from the anxiety of not knowing how to use it.

I'm about to do a solo trip to Venice for 1 week, and this video was excellent to prepare me for the vaporetto! Thank you so much for making it!
The Vaporetto is the single best winning bar bet I've ever used: I bet you can't name the city where all of the busses have just ONE WHEEL: Venice: they only have a STEERING wheel. Drink's on me.
Fantastic video 10/10!! Thank you for breaking the process down to an elementary level. I’m ready for my trip now.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This just took all the stress of how to get from the train station to where we want to go in Venice. This is the best, straight forward video to watch. You are my rock stars.

I am shocked at the detail and effort you folks used to explain this. It took me days to figure this out and I wish I found your video sooner.
Thank you for your detailed instructions and showing us how to proceed when we arrive in Venice!
Thank you so much for your clear, concise videos. Things are so much clearer now and I am less stressed about my Venice trip. Keep up the good work!

Hello Eduardo, thanks for your comment. Actually, lines 4.1 or 5.1 are even faster, but yes, line 2 is definitely faster than 1!
