This is crazy I just picked up an IS300 just like this with 156k. Catless headers with a muffler delete (that I cant wait to replace with a full GReddy) that even rattles from the hanger too. I just spent almost $1000 fixing his garbage lowering job and getting proper suspension and fitment on the car, and once it sounds right, I can't wait to take it to 300k miles.

These cars are bulletproof, best gen of Lexus,,,I have one with 280k an I literally beat the tarrr out of it in the dalllas traffic and it still drives like new ,,they rarely require any maintenance other than oil changes but great video bro! Ur car is lit👌great content

I miss those gas prices
Have 150k on mine and had to replace front end and shocks/struts, radiator; now there's a throttle body issue where there's no torque after 3k rpm, massive shake over 70mph (need new rims), dash lights and a tail light out, cd player broke 20k ago, fading paint in the back, and the oil leaks are getting to be bad. So I guess you could say things start to die like any old car.

check engine light, traction off and light bulb out. Why? Take care of the car, the car is nice i just got one with the same lights lit, fixed the issues all good now (fingers crossed)
I ended up selling the is300 to buy a stick 350z but you’re right at the time I should have addressed the dash lights !!!

Not to hate (I hate bmw and mercedes, so you are good), but why is the IS300 so popular? Is it because it is easy to engine swap or something? Personally, I don't like the IS300 as a car, but the 2JZ is my favorite engine.
BikoTheAnimator at the time when the Is300 came out it was much more reliable than its competitors (bmw/Mercedes) It was priced a lot better as well. Later on when aftermarket came out for the Is300 everyone started to realize the tuning capabilities. 1jz gte/2jz gte were the go to swaps and since the Is300 was a Toyota product it was not as difficult vs swapping those engines into other platforms. It has also aged much better than any of the bmw/Benz cars that came out at the time. The Is300 was Lexus’s first attempt at a sporty luxury sedan! The Is300 has remained timeless till this day. Also there is a jdm version of the Lexus Is300 called the Toyota altezza you should look into it!!! I feel like you would appreciate the Is300 a lot more‼️

BikoTheAnimator you’re on the right track but not only did 05 models come with N/A 2 JZs but 01-05 all models did !!! These engines can hold 350-400whp reliably if you boost them

Corrupted Omega honestly you could pull it off with very low bucket seats! Make sure the seats are reclineable so you can save some head room when you lean back

update, i have one now i fit pretty well in it, plenty of legroom. almost no headroom but the driving experience is amazing even for a car its age. hands down better than my trailblazer
