Brad, I think you need to take one half out of the chain. It looks stretched to me, too long by just a little.

I own the same bailer and I would concur regarding removing a link. Those tensioners are a bit confusing.
On my bailer, I’ve had more trouble with the chain below the one you repaired. I had trouble with the tensioner and had to fab a bracket to keep it tight as it would get loose. .
Another problem area with these balers is the cam follower for the auto wrap. This is located on the opposite side of the baler and is on the top end of the lazy “L” that activates your counter. The problem is the roller is cantilevered off a round metal peg that begins to bend over time.
If you’re having any issue with the pickup starting a roll, you might need to replace the pickup reel cam bearings. I replaced mine last year and oh what a difference it made. They are located on the drivers side of the pickup.
If you want to see photos, we can swap emails.
P.S. I live in East Tennessee about 30 miles north east.

@@jamesacuff-oz4ph James, amazing comments , appreciate it very much. How did you know?-i think I had four ‘missed cores’ last week. Usually if that happens, I kinda know it’s my fault, but these I thought I was doing fine. I may try to do those bearings and I’ll look at that cam rod for bending.
I’m from Knoxville (Halls) and graduated from ETSU so I’m familiar with your area haha.

@@jamesacuff-oz4ph PS James- I’m also having a little trouble with the left hand (drivers side) knife not wanting to cut the twine. Unlike the other side- it doesn’t have a way to lube it as far as I know. Any tips?

Thanks Del! I spent the afternoon with an Air Force vet today. He was having a yard sale and we chatted while the wives made all the deals, haha.
