    He is pushing drumming and musicality in a way that hasn't happened in a single person consistently in a long time. Even the current "Greats" recognize and respect him.
    In other words, he is amazing. I have been playing for 20+ years and I WISH I could ever come close to his understanding of percussion.

    He's out of this world, certainly my favorite drummer ever. You should definitely check out a compilation of his RUclips shorts where he plays some songs that drummers usually struggle to play with two hands, and he plays them with only one hand.

    You need to check his Blinding Lights play through. His limb independence is on full display in that song.
    That being said, EES real name is Jorge. He resides in Valencia Spain, and when I discovered him in March 2020 he “only had” 25k followers on IG and even less on his RUclips. He put out killer videos every single day and blew up from there. I am 43 and have been a drummer since I was 4, and Jorge inspires me to get better. Welcome to arguably the best rabbit hole on RUclips!

  • @mos8575
    @mos8575 9 месяцев назад +19

    Some of the stuff this guy pulls off is unreal. He got me to start back up on my drum kit. He plays with speed but very controlled with impeccable rhythm. All his limbs are so independent that he can keep up so many rhythms at once. His covers are so unique to his style that the music feels brand new so you can enjoy your favorite songs all over again. Love this guy, and so will you guaranteed.

    My dear, you should have a listen to his cover of Blinding Lights by The Weekend. Although he follows the original, he still finds the right time to add his fills, and I swear they sound amazing. Also, you NEED to watch his short one hand cover videos. This man is right now, imho the very best drummer ever. We don't see it in the videos, but he works hard ( and I mean HARD) to be at the level he is. He practices between eight to ten hours every single day.

    This is one of the most dedicated-to-their-craft guys you'll ever see, he dislikes the word "talent" for very good reasons, he feels it ignores the actual work put into getting that good, the countless hours invested in honing the craft, are not incapsulated in the word "talent(ed)", so he basically prefers "skilled" as that does imply invested time to learn the skill.
    He's also very honest about how much time it took to get to his level, and he wants others to be able to learn it the way he did, so he created a drum course you can download... for free.
    So yes, this man is born for this job, he is incredibly skilled, does have a ton of talent as well ofc (even if he dislikes the word lol), but he is not in it for the gains, he's in it for the love of percussion.

    What people don't see is how much he fails. I'm sure he practices endlessly to be able to play a song through like this in one take. This dude is a testament to hard work and striving for absolute excellence. He practices so much that crazy difficult things, appear easy. That is the mark of an amazing drummer. Making the difficult or impossible appear easy. All of that being said...it would be nice to see him in an actual band, coming up with his own drum tracks on songs. All I ever see is him doing his take on other people's songs.

      I doubt that most of the best drummers in the world would be able to do the same he does EVEN if they practiced the same. He's a legend.

El Stepario does an amazing cover of that song. Watch the video for the original song a few times to become familiar with the song then watch his cover. Jazz Drummer Dennis Chambers (considered one of the best in the world) said El Estepario just might be the best drummer in the world. He is not covering anyones drum parts, He captures the song and then just plays along completely overplays with his improv. He has one where he does a Foo Fighters song titled "Dave Grohl Fired Me". There is a video of him telling his story and it is an incredible tale of discipline, intelligence and genius. Don't believe he is even in a band. He seems to do this just for himself. And no, He doesn't even need to try. His trying time is already done. He is schooling musicians of every kind.

    God-Level drumming. He does so much with so little and has so much natural talent. Polyrhythmic...Danny Carey would approve.

    Any time somebody says "He makes it look so easy" or "He's not even trying" That is when you know you really are good.

    If you want to see an amazing drumming video, you absolutely need to watch Chad Smith (from Red Hot Chili Peppers) invent a drum track for a 30 Seconds to Mars song on the Drumeo channel. He listens to a drum-less track and just comes up with it on the fly. To add context, Drumeo does this with a lot of drummers and the drummers ALWAYS listen to the song (without the drum track included) through once or twice, take notes on song structure, where the think the verse, bridge, pre-chorus, chorus, etc are within the song. Then they have a first attempt at adding their own drums into the song, take some more notes, practice a little bit, and then throw down their "final take". Remember, these are all very good drummers, who have played in famous bands or for world-class talent and are experts in their field. Chad listens to the song (without the drum track) for all of 15 seconds and jumps into it. The rest...you will have to watch to find out ;)

      I agree and Thomas Lang is another prime example. Yes, Seberiano has obviously worked extremely hard to be able to play like that, tricks and all but as good as he is, I find his playing to be very repetitive and robotic. I'm moved by drummers who have "Feel and groove" and I'm not getting that with him.

    Girl you haven't seen anything until you watch him cover Blinding Lights - The Weekend and the video he made when trying to learn the drum solo from Mario Duplantier. Just seeing the techniques he uses during that one blew my brain to pieces! Welcome to the rabbit hole!
