  • Sharing the end of my Dungeon Siege II journey with you guys ! Here is my final build of solo dual wielding warrior against Valdis. Keep in mind the game is supposed to be played with a total of 6 different characters. This isn't particularly a problem for warrior because in DS2, strenght boosts both health and melee damage.
Have fun watching Valdis getting annihilated !

Just to add a bit for information for others that may still read this.
If you play with the Broken World expansion pack installed the armor values of most high-end items is nerfed significantly, the Radiant Sun is just over 300 armor instead of 427 for example.
I would guess the armor rating on this warrior would lose 300-350 points minimum, possibly a bit more. It would still be OP but not just this OP :)

A bit late to the party, though first THANKS for making DS2 content! My question is: how did you get the that rare ring? It's so awesome!

      My pleasure !
If you're talking about the enchanted rings with green names, they are legendary rings enchanted with a reagent called "Prismatic Bauble".
The details were discussed below another comment, let me paste it right here for you :
The reagent used is called "Prismatic Bauble" and it grants 15% Find Magic Items. It can be found in shops around level 40~50ish and higher. I suggest farming these as early as possible and place 8 of them on a legendary ring (if I remember correctly you start getting those at around level 54) to get an insane 120% bonus Find Magic Items per ring ! Since it also works on necklaces, I suggest wearing at least 2 of these enchanted items per characters, and you'll find every magic items the game has to offer in no time. It's one of the things that made me love this game, how diversed magic items are. Have fun !

Well done brother, I can't wait to see more Dungeon Siege 2 content on your channel! Do you plan to stream on twitch anytime soon, and if so, what is your channel?

Unfortunately Twitch isn't likely to be of the party this year for me. Thanks for the support mate, and I might try speedrunning DS2 in the upcoming years, so don't forget to like, suscribe and hit that bell to stay tuned on the EPIC content to come.

Very nice, and very impressive too. Thanks for sharing your gear in the beginning. I've only recently started on veteran with a party, but it helps a lot to narrow down stats/items I should be looking for. What reagents did you use to craft those enchantable Magic Find rings?

@@jarn3125 Thank you for your detailed reply! I really appreciate it. Can Prismatic Baubles only be found in shops or are there farming spots for them? My character is around level 71 and I just finished Veteran difficulty after Valdis. I need to be level 74 for Elite difficulty. Would you recommend starting with the Broken World campaign or should I farm Zaramoth's Horns/Darthrul City for a while?
Yeah, that's one of the things I love about this game as well. The many magic items really add a lot of flavor.

@@JH24821 I am unaware of any particular spots to farm items in DS2. Although one thing I know is that you shouldn't bother looting your reagents on mobs, use the shops ! The way I was doing it was the following :
Head to Eirulan and visit the reagent seller. Whenever you aren't pleased with whatever the dude has to offer, just soft reset it by quitting the game and reopening it, which will reset the trader's wares. The only reason why you should prefer Eirulan over the other two cities is simply because the reagent trader is the closest from the spawing portal.
There's another thing about reagent farming that i'd like to point at : Reagents are linked with a particular character level (41 for the Prismatic Bauble, see list on dungeonsiege.fandom.com/wiki/Reagents_(Dungeon_Siege_II) ).
In my experience, reagent traders sell 3 kinds of reagent : Low level, Mid level, and Top level (Top level being your current character level). So if you are level 71, you may have trouble finding Baubles in shop because they are exactly between 2 reagent levels. In other words, there are certain character levels where a specific reagent will be almost impossible to find in a shop. In order to still have access to these reagents, you can try changing the game's difficulty during your shopping (It appears the reagent trader on Mercenary difficulty has a capped "Top Level" for its reagents, you won't find level 80 reagents in Mercenary difficulty even if your character is lvl 80).
I understand your concern about starting Broken world just to get the right xp amount to head into Elite difficulty. Unfortunately I don't have access to Broken World and can't inform you on this.
Just a last thing about experience gain because it's one really weird aspect of this game : It appears you gain the more XP from killing mobs that are your level. So somehow, if you kill mobs that are 5 levels greater or lower than your character, you will gain almost no experience at all. You might have experienced this if you cleared the Taclak hideout in Greylin jungle at the beginning of your walkthrough : these mobs are usually way over your level, and even if you manage to kill all of them, the XP gain is ridiculous.
I hope it helped, have a good one !

@@jarn3125 I'm sorry for my late reply but I wanted to thank you for your detailed and very helpful reply. I really appreciate it! It turns out I couldn't skip Broken World (I had to complete it to unlock Elite difficulty) but thanks to your advice about reagents and magic find I was able (after some farming and restarting for the shop) to get through the last level of the expansion and finally defeat the boss (Who always kicked my butt before) I really saw a difference in drop rate and got a few set items. I'm finally on Elite difficulty. Interestingly enough, so far on Eirulan the difficulty seems a little lower than on Broken World Veteran but I have a feeling that's going to change soon.
Thank you again! I wouldn't have been able to get to Elite without your advice. The increased droprate really made the difference for me to progress further into the game!

@@jarn3125 at least in Broken World you can enchant spellbook with Magic Find too. Just "start" new game in lower difficulty, you already completed the game and find 4x4 slot book with low magic requirement. There are no progress lose, and you can back to your walkthrough just "starting" your actual difficulty level again.

This is the Steam PC version. I reckon there was a slight windom format issue with this version, but with a bit of trial and error you should be able to figure it out (check online forums if necessary). Have fun with DSII !

Here are a couple of reasons why, ordered by significance :
      1) My Armor total is out of this world, which negates most of the damage received.
      2) In my opinion, the key aspect of Dungeon Siege II that makes melee warriors the best choice for a solo playthrough is the fact that Strenght grants both Damage and Hit Points. Therefore my Health total is also outrageous.
      3) A high percentage of the small portion of damage received is then immediately dealt back to the enemy thanks to my greaves, and combined with heavy lifesteal, my warrior instantly heals enough to compensate the damage received.

@@NostalgicMem0ries I play vanilla, without any mod. The best armor sets are pretty end game indeed, but there are solid alternatives for every level. The diversity of magic items in this game is astonishing, really. If you are struggling to collect many magic items, I suggest you enchant rings with Prismatic Baubles to get a better drop rate, you can read the discussion we had with @JH24821 in the comments, it's all explained there.
Have fun with Dungeon Siege II !
