Getting dumped by someone you love and want to be with is awful, but what does the dumper feel? What is dumper feeling while you're apart and not in communication?
There are 7 stages of a breakup for the dumper. When you understand what these stages are and how they affect him, you'll be in a much better position to get your ex back.
While it's not often discussed, there are specific no contact rule stages and specific things you need to do (or more importantly not do) during each of these dumper breakup stages.
The stages your ex goes through during no contact are entirely predictable, but unless you understand them, your instincts will compel you to act in exactly the opposite way you should if you want to get your ex back.
It's normal for you to wonder, "Does my ex miss me? Is my ex happy? What is my ex feeling? What is my ex thinking?"

By the time he gets through all the stages, we’ll just be moving on. Lol. And then we’ll be going out and having fun and we’ll be getting over him and won’t want him back. Hang in there ladies, I just got dumped and cheated on after 5 years. I’m grieving, but I’ll wallow in my sorrows sticking to no contact 100, and will never break it. I’d rather grieve and go through the pain than ever give him another chance. He already had his chance, he clearly doesn’t love me. I accept it. Exactly!! All of this !!!!! I don’t even think I’m going to give anyone another chance nor have sex for a very very VERY looooong time. I don’t wanna open up to anyone anymore because I’m not gonna allow myself to go through this again! I fled an abusive relationship after he held me by my neck choking me while the rest of his family jumped me in front of my baby smh then a week later he moved in to a brand new apartment with another woman. I hate it because it shouldn’t be a cat and mouse chase, love is supposed to be genuine and patient. It’s not a game that you can put on pause or “save” for another time. It’s supposed to be work, patience and consistent effort even when things are hard. It’s not right to just “give up” and then decide you were wrong. You should have thought about the consequences of your actions. I hate it.
Of course it doesn't feel right to the dumpees but you gotta accept that people are humans. We're not all saints who know exactly what to do and we all make mistakes in life. I've seen it enough and the power of forgiveness (only to those who deserve it) which can transform a relationship into a better one after some time off. I think it's good to be open minded to people and the situation without being clouded by our emotions. And yes human psychology is a cat and mouse game unfortunately. We are pulled by forces that we aren't even conscious of. Think of that time you reach out for that tub of ice cream which you know you shouldn't have. In this sense we can learn to be more empathetic and forgiving towards others. Doesn't mean we have to take them back but it does relieve you from your pain, even if just a little.
I absolutely agree with you so if he couldn’t work through it and be patient and consistent then he’s not the one. When you do find him then he will be patient, kind, consistent, loving and genuine. So if you think about it you haven’t found him yet.

I went 100% no contact. He ended up hooking up with someone with a couple months and eventually married her. People tell me he was more than likely cheating and men don't leave unless they already have someone else to go to.

Going through this break up has me second guessing if I want him back. I have the most intense emotions right now regardless how much I distract myself. I go to the gym, read, hang out with friends. However from all the emotions I developed stomach problems which I’m trying to cure. All these body changes and discomfort is making me rethink if I want to give it a second chance...I’m left ruined and I have to pick up the mess..

Currently 3 weeks post a 2 year long distance relationship break up and it’s hardddd. We both broke the no contact rule the first week but it didn’t feel right to me so I told him I didn’t want ANY contact what so ever. It helps. Part of me still has hope but I try to remind myself that I was unhappy for a long time but was too afraid to let go. @@merysantana4789 I’m doing sooooo much better! I’ve grown to love myself and move on from an extremely unhealthy relationship. I stood my ground with no contact and began to see how manipulative he was and codependent we were together. It definitely wasn’t easy and the breakup showed me who he truly was as a person but ,it was worth it! He definitely still crosses my mind often but I’m no longer attached and have moved on.

@@anacrystaltapia Yes, but he did so under the guise of him wanting me to send his belongings to his family even though he would have no access to them for another 5 months. I also even explained to him that when I was ready I would send them. I needed my time to heal and process everything. This was all verbalized before I went no contact and he even stated that was okay but continued to contact me and my family. He did it about three times. But, I always kept my boundaries. Once I finally did send his things he blew up on me, threatened me, and his family harassed me. I think this was because he knew I was finally closing the chapter of our relationship and no longer chose to be in an abusive relationship with a narcissist.
I don't believe that there's a guaranty that you will "get him back". If someone breaks up with you, it normally does not bode well for the relationship returning to life. Imho.
Sometimes it’s better, because now they know how it feels to not have you in their life, and how it feels to loose you. So they won’t want to be in that position again and try harder

This is so true. My ex broke up with me about a month ago and I’ve been trying to beg for him and it wasn’t working like the lady said in the video. So I just decided to leave him alone and I told myself “I’m sick of this especially because he doesn’t want me back” so I just didn’t text him. And now he’s texting me and he wants to be friends with me. I’m fine with being friends with him but I’m not gonna give him the satisfaction he wants. He just wants to make sure I’m still an option when he wants to date again, but I’m not gonna show any sign of attraction towards him anymore.

Couldn't agree more. I broke up w mine BC I consistently felt unseen, emotionally invalidated/dismissed + like I was getting crumbs of his attention. He also had 2 kids with an ex + their relationship was toxic + it bled over into our time together. It was so upsetting. It got so bad I started taking clonazapam's to cope with the anxiety + deep feeling of disconnection. The last month was the worst, the way he communicated was like he had a crazy mushroom trip, was talking all scientific, esoteric + spiritual + even touted himself as a spiritual guru. Saying I met a spiritual genius in a world full of retards. Telling me he's trying to help me up to his level + that I'm resistant to learning. So in essence suggesting he's superior to me. Then acting aloof about why I'm so upset. That's when I knew I had to cut it off. It's 2 weeks since I told him I think it's best we don't contact eachother for a while. He never responded + I have not heard from him since. It's been so upsetting for me to a point I was almost admitted to hospital BC I was so disturbed. So ya depending on the person, the person who dumps can also go thru an emotional rollercoaster. I'm still grieving over it. 😭

Now after the breakup he realized his mistakes and his faults and has been for 3 months trying to make himself better and proved to you that he has become a different man would you think about working things out?? Me and my ex broke up 3 months ago after 2.5 years. She said the same things you did that she felt disconnected and unhappy for the last few months. Now we have met up a couple of times and she says she sees the changes I have made and she still loves me but doesn’t know if she feels the same. We kiss when we have seen eachother and the last time we saw eachother she held my hand and then has been distant the last few weeks. I know she’s probably super confused but I really do love her and will do anything to make her happy.

Thanks for publishing this so I can know better how to encourage some people who got dumped with the idea of helping them get back together with their ex. As for me now that I am older after already going through all dumper 7 steps myself twice before becoming aware of them while all my children are finally adults after 25 years in 2 often a whirlwind getting worse every time one came along marriages I love my alone time with less house work to do, getting to do my yard work and my renovations how I want so for example a bank of cupboards in my bed room someone pilled books in doesn't fall onto the floor again after I protested about how they were being affixed to the wall. I ilke being able to come and go as a please so much after going through all the stages faster now that all my children are adults. In the past when I was young I told people to never photograph me on a date and then publish it where my ex could find it however once people didn't listen and yes I sure heard about it when trying to pick up my children again after a visit. Now I don't care that no one seeks to photograph me as an elder now anymore. More fun being anonymous on the street now not having to worry about being maybe grabbed by a Jon who didn't like the way I turned him down anymore. And so I like having grey hair too. Yes I would like to be in a healthy marriage however the joys of life involves way more than only sex 3 times a week for about an hour and a half in actual duration. Like giving and receiving only affection among just friends.

Great advices. I have learnt them the hard way until I came to the decision to really let him to pursue me. I was so tired of thinking of him, whether he will reach out, meet me, how to show him I am different person now etc. After all this time I just want to move on, with him or without. Our relationship is very different from what I experienced before, but I think it's because I am more mature now. I was seeking everlasting love before, but, that one usually hurts a lot. I’m a guy… gave her over 2 years of my best and loved her the way I wanted to be loved. I even remained patient because she was separated for years but still technically married and needed time to work that out. I sacrificed time with others out of desire to be with her. I'm listening to this as "the dumper". It's making me feel not only understood, but like less of a prick for openly acting on what my heart and mind has been telling me for months. Thank you for helping me expect what's coming up and reflect on it in phases, even if this wasn't necessarily intended for me.

perhaps she felt alone. I felt that guys lack initiative and can make a girl feel insecure. Insecurities can break a relationship. Why entrust my entire life on someone who just gives uncertainties? Relationship needs a whole lot of management. Love is not enough to sustain a relationship. Mindset, mentality must be on the same page or else it's useless to maintain a relationship.
Don't worry, someone would definitely accept and love you for who you are. It's a matter of compatibility in some cases.

I just got dumped. It hurt me so bad, because at first I was the one who wanted to withdraw from it, when I saw he would be moving to another country. But he insisted. After a year, I saw the love he showered to me and started to be committed. The day he left, he even said „let’s try“ and cried and „iloveyou“. He moved there. Everything went fine. We talked at least twice a day. On my bday, he surprised me tons of gifts. But not even a month later, he told to stop. He said becos the feeling is not there. I was shocked. I still clung on our past. I couldn’t handle it. I texted him back and forth. I resented him, yelling at him, saying that I regretted being with him, though he apologized to me. After that I deleted everything. His number, our text conversation. I think now I am ready to accept it, letting him and me distance. I feel so annoyed, becos of this pandemic, I can go there to face to face with him. But well, maybe that is good for me.
As a man the no contact period is not only for me but for the girl that i was with. Its going to hurt much more in the long term if we keep talking, no contact is pain in the short term so we can have a good relationship in the long term. And as a former “dumper” she is absolutely so right. A breakup is a loss, even for the person who initiated the breakup. I’m not so sure about the zodiac stuff though haha
it is the very opposite. It hurts much much much much much more if you have no contact in early stages. Do not ever go no contact if you were a dumper, it generally builds a need for revenge from dumpee. Because dumpee interprets no contact as they are no longer worth any contact. Since you are presumably still alive you had more luck than brains, but I can assure she has done some things to screw you over that you may not even know about.

He has probably realized by now he was looking through rose colored lenses and only idealized you to be everything he wanted in a partner. I made him double check a million times if his intentions were truly because he cared about me. A month later a he dumped me over Snapchat for a second time and told me he continued it because he was lonely. I’m never gonna give him a second chance and I will not let him pull something like that again.

Probably his new relationship broke up and he "misses" you (as a gap). He'll use you for a couple of months while looking for what he really wants then either dump you or see this new girl behind your back. You'll know by all the signs like him flirting sexually right in front of you, hiding your toothbrush or you seeing her panty liners in the bathroom trash (yes). He'll start treating you like dirt and if you still dont get it he'll make your life a living hell or just finally dump you.

He texted me 3 days ago saying he has met someone, I can't do anything but accept it because of the distance. We decided to be there for each other but I'm having a really hard time, it's hard to not text him since we used to talk everyday. He said he didn't want to hurt me and that I deserved nothing but the truth and I respect that, he also said that we don't know anything about the future and that our paths might cross again during more stable times. He said that if we were closer things would be different and that this has nothing to do with me. What hurts is knowing that he's for sure not regretting this decision since he's with her, while I'm here losing sleep.
