- Oprah Winfrey is one of the most successful media personalities in the world. Over the last 35 years, she's interviewed some of the biggest names, not just in the entertainment industry, but around the world. From pop superstars to foreign diplomats, it seems as though no one can say no to a sit-down with Oprah.
That’s not entirely true, of course. There have been a handful of celebrities who’ve refused an interview with the Queen of All Media. One of those stars just happens to be one half of former Hollywood power couple Brangelina. Here’s why Angelina Jolie completely refused to work with Oprah.

With great respect to Jolie and the work she's done in Namibia: I live in Namibia, Shiloh's birth and her work with the sanctuaries she set up was very muted, not at all a media frenzy. It wasn't all over our news, we just knew she was here and saw some pictures, and that was it. As for the sanctuaries, she funded them and handed over the running of them to the best possible Namibian person to do it, who would respect the Koi San in the area. She did it with grace, taste and did not gain anything from it. Oprah would have ridden that media cow to death. Feel free to ask about the sanctuaries, I've visited them numerous times, as well as lived close to the hotel she was staying at before the birth.

@@NAConen No. I expected her to have vetted the employees properly and to have hired a board that would keep an eye on things in her absence, just as every charitable organisation in a country not in your own, does. For instance: Jane Goodall has an institute in SA, for rescued chimps. Her institute is overseen by a board, and management has to adhere and report to them. They visit frequently. That is how they managed to stay open for as long as they have, in spite of various difficulties. You dont slap your name on a building and bugger off. You make sure it is held to your standard.
Angelina kind of seems like a person that stays in her lane living her life as she sees fit. She doesn't owe explanations to anyone about anything. The celebrity thing is so strange.
She knows how tight the Oprah was to Mr Wine Stine! How she knew exactly what was going on, but still continued to work with him because she was all in it for herself. She knows Oprah isn’t who she pretends to be in her public image.
She recently called out Brad Pitt for doing the same thing.
They were all comfortable with Mr. Winestein. ALL OF THEM. And the squeakist wheel even took money from him and KEPT HER MOUTH SHUT until the sheet hit the fan. So. There's that. to me, a woman of color it's all B/S that thing about Women helping Women. Women help women who look like themselves because they are the same as their white male counterparts. The only time they blow their cover is when they WANT SOMETHING like OUR VOTE and now they’re even trying to subvert That! Seen any concerned white women walking in solidarity with women of color about the subversion of the VOTING RIGHTS LAWS EN MASSE? Angela Davis said years ago. "Their fight is not our fight!" and she was spot on. And that declaration is still true today. I'm not there for any of it. Meaning white women's issues are not our issues the issues of women of color because they don't champion the issues of women of color. 52% of white educated women voted for Donald Trump. TRUMP!!! For God's sake! And then turned around and organized and went on a "Women's March" What the hell does that say about the issues that concern women of color? Brown, Black and Asian women? Not a damn thing. You tell me how an educated white woman could stomach Donald Trump none the less VOTE FOR HIM!! He's a misogynist can't read beyond 5th grade level male pig! Another Weinstein!

I don't blame Angelina for not jumping at a chance to be interviewed by Oprah. To me Oprah is overrated. I have never really watched much of her talk show or anything. I wish people would just stop bringing up the whole Jennifer Aniston/Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie triangle. It's really no ones business what is happening behind closed doors and I had always heard that Brad wanted a family and Jennifer didn't at that time and he didn't want to wait on a maybe. I don’t believe Angelina’s disdain for Oprah has anything to do with Jennifer Aniston, it has more to do with integrity. Angelina has devoted herself to helping those going through peril and living in poverty whereas Oprah seems to only think of how good it will look for her image. I was on Oprah in 2008 when she did a show on heroes. I saved my boys in a Tennessee F4 tornado in 2006 and near fatally injuring me. I was left paralyzed but I saved them so I have never looked back. Being on Oprah wasn’t what I thought it would be but she was very generous. She feel in love with my oldest son who was 7. She loved his name Jair (numbers 32:41 Ja-ir)
My daughter's dad is named "Jair." Named after a famous Brazilian soccer player!

Angelina doesn't do talk shows. Period. It's not just Oprah. She's hardly ever appeared on Ellen and late night shows and morning shows. She's a very private, elusive and unassuming person. Also, she doesn't seem to be like the gossipy type of person which is what Oprah seems to be like. Nothing wrong with that but people with different personalities can't always be compatible with each other.
