- Divorce is an ugly thing. When you have kids and you add custody war into that mix, it becomes even more hideous. Unfortunately, in the world of Hollywood, divorces tend to be a public matter that's gobbled up by the press. Brad Pitt has just been awarded joint custody of his children with Angelina Jolie, and it's been alleged that Angelina will be appealing the judge's rule and continue to fight for full custody of their 6 children. One question we'd all like to ask, is how are their kids handling all of this?

I see a lot of comments on here stating She “took” Brad away from Jennifer. In real love, a man can not be taken away. If he ends up with another woman, he wanted to go, period. It’s a harsh but true.
So why did he marry Jen? why did Angelina file a divorce for him? were we born to hurt each other? And if Angelina is not a type of person who would wreck a relationship, why did he pursue Brad? if you are in your right mind, why would you break someone's heart?

Brad himself admitted he used to drink a lot. Do you know what it means to be with e person that yells at you drunk? Not once but repeatedly? How is it her fault? I am happy Brad cleaned his act, it is sad that it costed him his family.
Thing is a wasn't drinking when he met her... so why did he start in the first place ?

I can't blame her. Takes a strong woman to say no to abuse especially when the kids become victims. No man would ever come above my kids. I grew up with a mother who wouldn't stand up for herself or us kids. They all can choose anyways if they want to visit with their dad.
Angelina has quite a twisted history herself. You can't believe everything you read.

It is clear something happened on the plane between him and his Son, the Son in an interview appears to have not forgiven Brad yet. It appears Angelina is not out to hurt Brad, she appears to want to protect the children. All of them are at an age to make their own choice about what they want. People with addictions don't just get over it after a rehab stint. He will probably go back and forth for awhile like most do. Brad has admitted to substance abuse maybe this was just the last straw. I don't understand why people want to crucify Angelina. She's just a woman, not a witch who can make men do what she wants. Men leave because they Want To. If it hadn't been Angelina it would have been some other woman he walked off with, guaranteed.

Angelina truly had a very troubled youth but she has matured a lot especially when she started growing her kids. She has matured and found her purpose better than anyone of us and had helped numerous children especially victims of war throned countries. Pls look at the positive she has done, not only the negative, learn to forgive.

I personally value both Brad and Angelina as great actors and alit of respect for their charities. No one knows either on personal level. Who’s right or wrong. There’s 3 sides to a story his hers and the truth. Magazine just sell stories without being able to back anything. Let’s either enjoy their stage performances and let them figure their differences without any crazy speculations. Just my personal opinion

Divorce is a sad thing to go through. Everyone feels the pain. Especially the children. Let’s hope and pray, they can get over this custody issue and both come out winning. Agreeing to 50/50 joint custody..

I think the fact that she is appealing joint custody says ALOT. She lives for those kids. They are old enough to have a say where they do or do not live. There is no way for anyone but those involved to know the details. Those details being in the papers effect the ones most important in the case. The kids

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. She knows family is important to Brad so she want's to control that aspect of his life....It's a shame really, because it's the kids who really suffer. My parents did the same and can't understand why resented them for it. Don't involve kids in grown-up mind games, it's damaging to them in ways you can't know.

Would you forgive a rapist? Your rapist. Or your child rapist.
Replace "rapist" with "abuser". Women who are working at their job and they are working at home, but they need to kindly ask their husbands for money to buy food for the family while he is spending to have fun with their friends and other women, while they stole family money to save them in - let's say - hid mothers' bank account.
You should see the number of women visiting psychiatrists, enduring the shame of being called "mentally disturbed", taking pills that are destroying their vital organs, but they are just doing that just to refrain themselves from committing suicide for the sake of their kids, parents or siblings.
The scientist often say that men commit suicide more often than women. It's only because they are less responsible than women are. And their reasons are usually about themselves.
There's forgiving, and there's safety in the home. I forgave my abusive husband eventually, but I had no choice but to leave him and divorce him, otherwise I'd be dead now. No exaggeration.
We don't know what went on behind closed doors with Angie and Brad, so it's best left to them to sort it out between them.

What I don’t like about this video was the commenter mentioned a few times accusations of domestic violence but failed to state the FBI and investigators found no evidence and he was cleared. I don’t know what happens behind closed doors and if he is or isn’t. But the media reported that FBI cleared him so I’m surprised the commenter didn’t mention it and make it more fair.
bc he was only cleared when he agreed with having supervised visits with their kids and go to AA, so he wasn’t “cleared” at all

Yeah something is sketch. They’re super private, so the fact the FBI even got involved says something happened.
I think their problem was substance abuse on his part and that’s that. People can turn on you when intoxicated. This is why I think the issue goes back and forth. I saw him hanging out with some musicians on vacation and he is a free man, with lots of money and good looks. For him to stay 100% sober must be very difficult. I wish them not the best.

Agree. But i dont think pitt is a danger to his kids, its extreme to take them away completely with no visitation or custody. She trusted him enough to allow him to adopt her adoptive kids. I dont see how he could become a threat to them now. Of course, i could be wrong but if a parent is constructively changing their past mistakes and working to be better amd isnt a danger, they dont deserve to lose their kids.
I love Angelina but I think she should allow Brad to share custody of their 6 children just as the court has decided so everyone is happy. This is only fair. The children need their father.

Fathers are very important for the mental & emotional development of the children. Having a father figure is needed for balanced & stable family.

Their relationship may not end well however she is a good mother to her children and I think that what matters more.
I always find it telling when older children do not want to restore their relationship with a parent. As is the case here. The 3 older kids, the ones who are old enough to be asked by the court whether they want to see their father and spend time with him, don’t want to. He got joint custody of the younger ones. I think think they witnessed and remember behavior on his part they aren’t ready to forgive yet, if ever.
Those three are adopted, so they can choose to have him in their lives, I would focus on my children.

Angie in one of her interview stated that she is for joint custody as per the needs of her children. They are teenagers lots of interests. Inspite of the tabloids these kids seems to be stable.
The kids seem thriving! I loved how they smiled and hugged and joked on the red carpet. Absolute joy to watch! No kid can fake happy.

@@meeeka Not necessarily. I raised 4 daughters single-handed and they all turned out amazing, kind, generous, beautiful, intelligent, loyal, big-hearted individuals. We never had a falling out, and they never went through 'terrible teens' phases either. They're just such a blessing to me, and I love them all. I never bad-mouthed their father either, though he deserved it. The girls made up their own minds when they grew up. What goes around comes around. 💛

Here’s what I think happened on the plane. And I was a nanny for five years & worked in many daycares for 13.
I’ve heard stories of angies kids basically being spoiled, undisciplined brats. I heard they’re disrespectful & Angie always allows it. Whenever I encountered an undisciplined child, I always got yelled at by there mothers. But the kid was always at fault. One evil little boy that always terrorized the kids purposely threw a wooden toy block at the back of a special needs kids head; which caused it to open up. My boss demanded she take her kids & never come back, and the mother screamed at her. She didn’t even care what her kid did. Meanwhile, I’m holding that toddler in my arms; both of us crying & holding his wound down so he didn’t bleed out until the ambulance got there. And that kids mom went on to try & sabotage my work place and even filed a case against us. Little did she remember that we had security cameras in the room. Her husband didn’t want this to happen & even tried talking her out of it. He even testified against her. It was nuts. It ended with her being arrested for child endangerment because of what she allowed her kid to do (the special needs boy’s parents filed against her) & the dad won full custody. Last I heard, the boy & his little brother are much better behaved.
Maddox to me always came off of as the type of Hollywood kid to say “you can’t punish me, you know who my mom is?!” Brad and Angie clearly have different styles of parenting. And Maddox clearly got in Brads face on the plane. But because of the rumors about Angies kids, I don’t believe for one second that Brad purposely put his hands on an adult like Maddox. I think Angie was looking for a way out & used this incident to get away. For someone who’s always so “I love my kids” she’s doing a bang up job using them. You can always tell who the better parent is by how they react in court.
Brads fighting FOR the kids, while Angies using the kids to fight Brad. One sees them as people, the other sees them as a weapon.
It's good that you're on the inside of their lives so you can definitely tell us what's going on. And before you get started I'm 68 the mother of 2 grandmother to 3 and great grandmother to 2 as well as a professional nanny for 2 decades..your comments are so obviously pro brad..and I worship Brad. My point is...you do not know what went on in their marriage and then to stand back and judge Maddox 🤣🤣🤣by the way he looks. I rest my case

Welcome to the real world.nothing is perfect, we've dealt with unfaithful men issues, but it's commendable that he wants a relationship with his kids, and does nothing to influence them against her. All I got during my breakup was the father who had drinking issues, to tell the child, it was your mother's fault a slap from the father, him never wanting a relationship with my boy, how sad for the children of father's who don't see or aknowledge them. I have been a father and a mother for my boy, who's now 26, his father walked out when he was 5. That's enough for me, and I have never blamed her for being the other woman, which I had that too. She needs to see beyond herself and do what's right for those kids, not use them against him.

For someone who's had such a rocky relationship with her own father, you'd think she'd want better for her own kids. I'm sure Brad Pitt wasn't/isn't a perfect parent, but neither is she. No one is. He stopped drinking as soon as this all happened. It appears he is genuinely remorseful for any wrongdoings, has made huge life style changes, and adores his kids. No child should ever be deprived of a loving parent because the other parent wants to "win" at the kids' expense and detriment. They will be scarred for life. She may see big doses of resentment in later years. JMHO.

Some people are narcissists too and have to have all the control and love court battles. I know a few really good Fathers dealing with Narcissists for years in court. One was my current husband. His ex alienated his kids from him the moment he split from her. He was a stay at home Dad and she was caught cheating. She wanted to work it out he didnt..so she showed him by alienating his kids. Now she is doing it to her own son. She doesn't approve of the girl he wants to marry, so she stopped talking to him.

A man who wants what he wants isn't easily swooned so for people to comment on how Angelina was a home wrecker is absurd.
A man who wants to be taken away will be taken away. It's just the truth. So for Brad to be fighting for his kids to at least have 50/50 custody just goes to show he wants them in his life. He was there basically from the beginning. He raised those children alongside Jolie. He has rights.
Obviously neither parent had optimal childhoods and tried to fill that void without addressing their relationship issues. It's not a one time therapy session. Children cannot be expected to pick up the pieces and make everything okay because a parent has recovery. That wound needs to be accepted with awareness the building trust through nurturing respectful interactions.

Brad has admitted that he has an alcohol issue. He is doing better now, supposedly. My advice to Angelina: sometimes it is best to let things be. Please let your childrens' father co-parent them. Please don't make your children appear in court and choose sides...that gets you nothing but heartache. What is in the best interest of the children? Who is the stable parent here? Has any psychiatrist determined this yet?

Look at body language of the kids in all old pics with their parents together and seperately. It tell TONS. Brad is guarding his image and if Angie gets the kids 100% all media will ask 'WHY?
