This video is a flight report of Etihad flight EY17 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to London Heathrow (LHR), operated by an Airbus A380. I was in First Class Apartment 4A.
This was an amazing flight, and I was happy to share the experience with my girlfriend! Etihad's First Apartment really is something special, and the crew (if you're reading this, you know who you are!) was simply the best.
Also, allow me to thank you, all my subscribers and viewers! An absolutely fantastic and comprehensive review of what serious money will buy. You commented you were sad to leave...I would of handcuffed myself to a secure fitting in order not to leave the plane. This review is definitely the best of the couple of reviews or so on RUclips👍.

The facial expressions of the people in economy class as you walked through..That's what flying long haul in economy does to you; It's like paying for torture. Watching your videos helps me dream of the day I will fly in business class... and then dream of first class haha.
I returned on the same route last week. I was flying business class and was impressed with everything that Etihad did. Their service and attention to detail is second to none and their business seats are better than some airline's first seats. Next time I will fly first but the Residence might be out of my reach for some time. Excellent video.

This video just make me desperate to win the lottery so I can travel like this, it looks so cool then you see economy, that where I would be.

That plane is carrying enough water weight for multiple people to take showers, I don't ever want to hear about my overweight bag again.
+Jessica Blessing There is a time limit though, you obviously can't take your time. I know that Emirates' shower allows 5 minutes only, and there is a timer to show you the remaining time.
Not to mention that the people in first have paid huge sums for that water to be carried for their benefit. If you want to carry more, pay more. Simple as.
+Spencer Wilton sweetheart, first class tickets on a plane like this run upwards of 10k a ticket. I've seen them all the way to 60k depending on the flight. Rest assured, they make enough off of one ticket to cover their fuel cost for everything the plane is carrying.

+Aiden kaide On the A380, business class is almost like economy, you get the leg room and service but there are so many seats it does not feel like business class. There are business class seats on the upper deck, but it still does not feel very exclusive. Its getting harder, but I try to avoid flying A380. I still like BA and AA, just give me a seat in quiet area, with decent selection of films and a seat that will turn into a bed, then I am happy!! Give me a sandwich or two to eat and some drink, it will do me fine. I don`t buy flights seats for the food and drink, If I want good food and drink I will go to a restaurant, or cook it myself!!
coltsuperocean10 this is true, on an all Business Class upper deck, there can be 60, 80 even, seats - crews have to work really hard, and it can take quite a while for a meal service to be completed...

I've just been to abu dhabi from London, flew etihad, could only afford cattle class, but still great service, in flight entertainment was the same as first.

I loved flying as well, just time for a vacation or need for business. When I flew last, there were no TVs - you just stared at the seat in front of you or out the window. I played with Matchbox cars. And first class wasn't much better than economy. Now, I travel vicariously through videos like yours.

When I was younger and didn't understand things like "inertia", I didn't understand HOW a flight could take longer than 12 hours.
In my head I thought, 12 hours should be the max! Because even if you need to get to the opposite end of the planet, you could just fly straight up and wait 12 hours for the planet to rotate ( AND THAT'S IF YOU WERE NOT EVEN MOVING!!! ).
Yeah, I was a dumb little kid, lol.

try their business class. you will get to enjoy complimentary chauffer, etihad lounge, and there's also an in flight chef for business class as well:) the menu in business class is great as well (etihad steak sandwich is awesome) the seats on business class also have comfortable seats and leg rooms.

+skeptic proof Even economy flights usually serve food and wine, you might just have to pay for it at the time of menu ordering, and the Flight Chef won't personally deliver it to you.

Well damn, time for me to focus on school to get a good education and try make as close as a million dollars or even there so that way just one day, one day I can ride a first class plane to anywhere I want in the world, because you only got once in a lifetime and I don't wanna know what my next life is gonna be like after I die or just nothing and dark blackness forever.
+Doug Cannon funnily enough the richest people in the world all dropped out of formal education. something to think about.. a million dollars doesn't go very far these days, it'd only buy you around 30 of these flights.
itsumonihon Well they say that a graduated student can earn a million dollar more than a drop-out student. On my letter from college, they say that I can make like $20 an hour or more for most jobs to what I'm majoring in.

What does this cost? maybe around $15,000 to $25,000? is that a good guess?

+blueshirt06 the $20,000 for a single trip is the RESIDENCE class... (return trip costs $40,000)which is a class above this first class.. Etihad has 4 classes.. economy, business, first class (this one on video) and much more expensive higher class called RESIDENCE..
I had no idea I thought it all stopped at first class now I find out that their is a class higher than first
blueshirt06 It does stop at first class for most other airliner.. but not for Etihad.. Etihad has 4 class.. the video here is first class apartment.. Residence class is exclusive for Etihad and you get your own room and private butler.. there is a video on youtube featuring Etihad residence class if you'd like to search..

Imagine if everyone who was going to buy a first class ticket just gave the money to charity instead and just accepted 3-17 hours of relatively minor discomfort
James Johnson depends on the airline like 17 hrs on Ryanair, no way, it isn't really discomfort, flying a long time, most people would rather fly 1 plus extra flights to get to the destination, charities. Can be good while others have more hideous intentions , Most Charties do great work but it isn't going change much until Rich non africans stop exploiting Africa, until each country gains a middle class,, establish stable semi-presidential democracy. Sadly no charity could do that, Well you are right
