"Arse about face" for the brakes indeed! The setup you are familiar with is only common in countries that drive on the left. Sounds hilarious when you live in the EU. Great review apart from that quibble, thanks so much!
i got an enguie engine x 250w street legal one and got 29mph one way and 25mph coming back due to the wind, great bike , i'm 10st/140lbs may have helped.
Thank you soooooo much for doing this review because I have been looking at this model of bike because I live on a narrowboat so I need a small folding ebike and I have been window shopping at this exact model of bike and thinking about buying a small bike trailer to tow with it , once again thank you soooo much for your review it's so useful 😊😊😊
Just getting used to mine. However I bought it to fold up and put in the car. This is do-able, but its heavy! I live in the Welsh valleys, so need to get it powered up the hills!
Blimey, you certainly know them bikes inside out without a script. Fair play you! It's another cracking bike that. By the way, that ice cream van at 10:39 won't sell anything going that fast.
Good review 👍 I've had a Whyte Coniston for eight years and 12k miles, which is getting tired and will need a new back wheel soon, so this is food for thought. 6'4" though - so maybe a P275 would be more size appropriate. Hmmm.....
Just watched a review on the OneSport OT16 which is the same, except it's battery is 48v 17ah and they 'claim' 74 miles So, I'm agreeing with you and think Engwe need to 'up their game' as that OT16 is better AND cheaper. 😎🖖
Looks like driver on The Island have respect for other road users. Bike don't look bad got enough speed get up hill and faster then walking :D I like it.
Have left mine road legal and find that adequate, bearing in mind where I live the police are cracking down on illegal e-bikes and e-scooters to the point where they have confiscated 42 to date. They only have to get you to lift the rear wheel and operate the throttle and see it rack up more than 15.5 mph and you could be stuffed. Just something to be mindful of. Good review by the way.
@@Nobby77 I'm loving it. It reminds me of Wendy on the steepest hills...needs a push, and I really have worn the brakes out. But the battery lasts me a week if I take care and it's a comfortable ride.
it seems like a pretty good bike if you live in town . running around and shopping would save gas. I have no idea what those bikes cost but I'm sure they aren't cheap but I'm sure they could save money over time. Dwayne
Lee u shuld had use this Ike Ur Ur your save u killing poor old bendy Wendy... Lol 😂😆 u oh btw I love the video had my cracking up with it's help my to deal with grieving...
Can I just , this is meant to be limited to 15mph to keep it legal on UK roads yet you seem to be going 20+ a lot of the time. That’s a bit confusing if one wants to keep within the law. Were you using this unlocked then with throttle to get that type of speed?
Nice review to kick start my Saturday morning. Can you not legally derestrict them if you have a full driving licence? Thinking of a the law regarding a 50cc moped and was wondering if the same law applies. Was really hoping ya wife would of got her way with the front basket and tested the dog in it, that’s the main reason we’re looking into getting these 😂 🐶
Not the same bike mate. The L20 SE is basically the little brother of the L20 2.0 and is sent out as uk legal. It does have a throttle which is limited to walking pace but speed limits can be altered in the settings. All should be covered in my vid
@@Nobby77Ah ok mate thanks very much! So basically there is only one type of Engwe folding bike? I like the smaller bike, smaller tyres, the idea you can fold it etc but power is of more importance to me so think I'll go for the 2.0.
@@Nobby77 did you find out about battery condition when testing the bike? You mentioned two bars showing. I got the same problem fully charged battery but only showing 1 baron display
@gazza3010 in the settings there is battery level at different voltages. I mistook it for speed at pedal assist levels. So on 5 you'd want 36, 4 would be 34.5 and so on. Have a Google for the cut off voltage and spread evenly
Great review mate, and great to see you both out on a lovely ride on a lovely day 😎🤙👍
Cheers Mike, if I have to cycle it may as well be with Bramble

Thanks dude, I always assumed that the brakes should be the same as they are on motorbikes lol
An excellent review. I've been considering getting this model for a couple of weeks. And the price where I live of £ 630 is reasonable.
This is being used as a daily commuter by a guy at work and he loves it. At that price it's as cheap as most standard bikes

This thing will do up to 6'9" dude. I would suggest the normal L20 if power is your thing and remember it is a cadence sensor

It's a great little bike mate, it's designed for performing exactly how it does
Now I've deristricted, my engine pro 2.0 I'm really enjoying it and have racked up 130 miles in less than a fortnight.
It's a good bit of kit ain't it

Seems a nice little run a round bike. Brakes seemed to squeak a bit though.

Cheaper than you think
It's very appealing but why did they not stick with the 48v system? Because I really like the 3 inch fat tyres
Im not sure, I think they are going for a hard legal in EU and UK

You can de restrict them but then you would have to make them compliant with indicators etc, have them tested and insured. May as well get a moped

You can travel through life at 15mph if you like... Not me... My life, my rules
How do you get up to 20mph without activating the throttle? So in pedal assist mode is the max is meant to be 15mph?
You can alter top speed in the settings
Hi there, what's the battery voltage, for this?
36v
