ENGWE REVIEW
I just did a range test on my wife's Engwe L20 SE on full assist (5) and only managed 15 miles also this was on a grass surface and when the battery indicator started flashing it still gave assistance to get home another half mile. I'm going to do another test using assistance level 1 and see what that does
Titel: Wichtige Information fehlt in der Produktbeschreibung
Bewertung: ★★☆☆☆
@01:04 did i hear Driving down to pearl harbor ???
better look out for the Japanese 😲
I also managed to work out how to activate the throttle and increase the speed up to 31 KMPH but now I want to deactivate so it’s legal on the road but I can’t do it. Any idea how to disable the throttle and take the speed back to 25 KMH? I tried a couple of things from RUclips videos but it doesn’t work. And Mark, do you know how to take the trip back down to zero.? So I can measure each trip do ?
You should be able to download the instructions online or RUclips the answer.... Sorry I don't have it anymore.... Cheers mark
I bought this a few weeks ago. It’s a nice bike but a little disappointed with the mileages. I got only 40 km from full charge. About 8km per bar. Is that normal. I find that the front break is binding a little , I wonder if that is having any effect on the mileage I get.
You can get rid of the brake rub with careful adjustment..that shouldn't make much difference
I get 25 -30 miles which is about right
Cheers mark
I bought one for my girlfriend last Christmas... Brilliant little bike 👍
Thanks for your amazing video !
Could you tell us if the bike has the identification number on the frame ?
@@matt-pm9ed hi yes it is normally stamped under the crank bottom bracket thanks mark
Update on range test using assist level 1 managed 20 miles this was rode on bumpy grass playing field so one would think more could be achieved on smooth road/path
@@sandancer5382 great 👍 thanks for the update
If you take a folding solar panel and a power bank of some sort on a day trip, and are low on battery to get back home, is it possible to recharge/top-up the battery?
Yes you could in theory... But it may take a few hours:)
Greetings, how does the ride feel when peddling only without the help of the engine?
Feels heavier than a non e-bike due to motor and battery weight. Running the tyres at max pressure lessens the rolling resistance so with my weak leg muscle issues I can ride it on the flat ok but the slightest incline and I have wack the PAS on.
just ordered one tonight
Could you ride this l20se from lytchette minster to sandbanks and back fully loaded up
Yes no problem at all ... great route 😁 cheers mark
Quite a nice review.
Could you please advise the number of teeth on the chain ring. Many thanks
Hi Mike it's 48 tooth
Cheers mark
Many thanks Mark for that information
Good day Mark! I'm considering buying this model as my first e-bike. I'm just concerned if this e-bike is road/street legal to use in London? Hope to hear from you. Just subscribed! Hope to see more of your e-bike reviews.
Hi yes this one is 250 w UK legal :)
Thanks for the sub 😄,... cheers mark
Mark i should also have said thank you for the review it’s helped make my mind up - hoping I can get an EU discount code as I will buy one for myself and one for my hubby 🤣
My pleasure Angela 😄 great bike
Think Engwe getting very good reviews - thanks
Odd that this bike is not available from Engwe's UK website.
Yes it's available on the link in the description:)
Cheers mark
@markpulling12 Thnx for the reply but your link is not to the Engwe UK website.
@@Chip_57 yes thanks I know...this model is only available through that website best wishes
What is the website
@@Chip_57The Engwe L20 SE is an exclusive model officially authorized by Engwe and sold by BuyBestGear
Sir how many miles goes with full charge in without paddle
@@aakal hi on throttle alone with no pedaling you'll get about 20 miles
Best wishes
Great video but I cant find this model on the UK site only the standard L20 @ £999. There is a new model coming L20 2.0 which is 52v and 75Nm so should be a beast but Engwe said it isnt coming to the UK. Its also a folding a folding model unlike the old L20 so i assume this is a lower power version of that one with smaller tyres ?
Please click the link in the description for this model ...even though it's 250 w ....this model still moves !!!!
Best wishes mark
Is it on bestgearbuy website

Cheers mark
How is it under rain condition with this bike?
Mark the discount code isn’t working for me is there an EU discount code you could give? Tks Angela
Sorry Angela it's probably expired now ..try the engwe Facebook groups for a discount code
I am thinking of buying one, couldn't find a current discount code either but if you order of the Europe now you get the free helmet worth 60. So I am thinking to go for it .And currently in stock.
the promo code can only be used on the best buy gear site
@@jonkino I bought the L20 SE from the link in the description box, and the code works
Sorted my bike ❤ love 💕
Thanks great choice 😁
I was about to order this ebike on Buy Best Gear, but then I saw the automatic opt-in for adding a tip😮
What on earth is that all about? Isn't it enough that I'm giving a company my custom these days? Baffling. Suffice to say I'm not placing an order with a company that want their palms greased, because if I opt-out then what sort of customer service can I expect.
I grabbed one from BuyBestGear yesterday, and I only paid £775 with the code. Noticed that the tip option was set to none by default, which did not affect my shopping :)
Choosing the tip option or not will not impact the merchant's pre-sales or after-sales support. The intended purpose of this option is for customers who have received satisfactory pre-sales service from the merchant and would like to show appreciation through a tip. It's also worth noting that the default tip is set to zero, which aligns with a supportive gesture rather than an expectation of payment for service.
@@markpulling12
Yes, but I can't quite fathom what pre-sales support is and asking for a tip before any goods have arrived feels like a form of blackmail. Whatever, it's ill conceived and needs to disappear.
@@gurnstein Don't you get it yet?? 😅This is just a voluntary option, and the tip is set to zero by default. If u don't do anything about it you'll only pay the original price of the product, so there's really no reason to call it blackmail. and if I get satisfied pre-sale service when I'm asking about the item, I'd be happy to throw in a little tip as a thank-you.. For me, this option is actually fine! (If the default for this option were some amount, then I would see it as asking for money!🙄)
