Bonjour la puissance du moteur es ce un 250 w ou plus? Comme le x ????
Hi, same question… and specially about the L20 SE which is foldable but announce only 38Nm vs 50 for the classic L20 and 55 for the engineX
Thx
@@selfdefensesecrets3874 ok thanks 🙏
@@Cassiopeee670 Yes it's very similar with the X, comes locked and limited, but supports also unlocking. When it's unlocked it has a lot of torque and power, it feels very similar with the X and this one is also lighter so it accelerates even faster.
@@selfdefensesecrets3874 Glad I bought a brand new EP-2 Pro for £650 with the additional utility of folding, though not a Brompton fold, it just increases the possibilities for storage etc. It's quoted as 55NM & is around 4 to 5KG lighter than the L20.
Bought mine yesterday. Based entirely on your review. Thank you for this content👌🏼
Hope you enjoy it!
amazing! thank you for this overall review
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are making beautiful reviews my friend, keep doing what you love and they wil love it as well.
Thank you very much! I hope that you have also subscribed.
Excellent review, many thanks.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
A fabulous review. I just bought the L20 and your videos are tremendously useful. A big thank you for your work.
Glad it was helpful!
was it easy to unlock 🔓
is it fast
@@kmag7122 Yep.
@@kmag7122 Can be depending on your setting.
Great! Thanks :)
You're welcome!
Very nice Paul
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
@@TechTronic9000 it does look good 👍
Great review. We have ordered one of these already and are waiting on delivery. I look forward to your video on how to enable the throttle.
Anyone who has figured this out yet? I’ve just received mine
@@MrTobasko No, I found a video on how to do it on the L20 SE but I'm afraid to try it on this version.
Here is how to enable the throttle ruclips.net/video/sVi7M6kJHMc/видео.html and here is how to unlock the speed ruclips.net/video/Bd2wmjwQVyE/видео.html
yes great review unlock it want to see thanks 🔓👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

@@TechTronic9000 thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice review. I’m looking at getting one of these. Did you do a video on how to de restrict the bike 🤔
Yes I have posted a video on how to remove the speed limit and another one on how to enable the throttle.
Hi! I've a ADO A20F+ ebike and I want to buy a larger cargo ebike like radwagon. What do you recommend ?? I did not see in the channel any review about that. Thanks. Cheers mate!
Ya ya nice refrecter
Great review! I'm going to purchase the C20 Pro - but it looks like ENGWE has better build quality than a lot of similarly priced Chinese ebikes (I had a nightmare with a SAMEBIKE folding bike, the motor failed within 2 days).
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for both replies
Very good review, thanks. Just one question please. Is there a risk of water collecting where the battery connects to the controller at the base of the battery?
You could cover it with something when you leave it for a longer time with no battery. Also add water repelent special grease for electrical terminals.
Can somebody tell me, how to delete the "Trip"-Counter on the Display? Thanks in advance !
Very nice, I wonder how it compares to the Fiido cargo bike, they are both very similar
I would stay away from the Fiido version, they used to broke in half from catastrophic frame failure. They do claim to "fixed it" with a newer version, but then again they have a history with this issue on other models as-well.
Do you know what motor is built in this?
cia,ho bisogno di sapere le funzioni dei vari menu'sul display, dove le trovo?
🔓👍
Nice review on an interesting bike. Could you include all possible settings in your next video about this bike?
For now here is how to enable the throttle ruclips.net/video/sVi7M6kJHMc/видео.html and here is how to unlock the speed ruclips.net/video/Bd2wmjwQVyE/видео.html
@@TechTronic9000 I’ve got a question you might be able to answer easily. With my Engwe C20 Pro I can choose how many power levels I want to set up (1-5, 0-5, 1-7 etc.) but also how much power each level has (between 0 and 100%). Can you do both things with the L20? Many thanks
Hi there 👋.
Could you share your thoughts on those 2 big holes where cables are connecting to a controller on the bottom?
All the water and mud from the front wheel goes right inside that hole. So controller and cables will be always wet.
I think its a design flaw.
Planning to cover it with silicone etc.
That also works as a drain hole so water doesn't fill in there ;)
Nice bike and very good review as usual. Is it possible to pedal even at a speed of 40 km/h or more? Or is it too fast to pedal?
you'll be ghost pedaling at 7th speed running around 32km/h, so yeah it'll be too fast.
@@cuvip2007 i have a engine x and i can confirm. when u get to 30kmh even in last gear you do almost nothing with the pedals🤣. Planning on changing the freewheel tho
At about 30km/h you can still pedal ok, faster than that the cadence is to high.
@@TechTronic9000 yeah and you look like hamster . Have you got any experience on changing the freewheel of engwe? Would it affect to the pedal assist?
Did you change your mind about the headlight position, different from your unboxing video
Yes, exactly.
As I see there are scratches on the frame. Does it scratches so easily? I wanted a green bike, but if it scratches, then black must be a better option because it's easier to repair paint.
The paint is just like any other matte paint, mine was damaged and scratched during transport.
did you have a problem getton the from wheel to bolt on cos mine would not screw in and the bolt stuck after a few turns
The front wheel was a bit more complicated to put on because the washers and spacers were not properly installed in correct order. Have a look here ruclips.net/video/P-Bh0XA7yZ8/видео.html
Nice bike this. I was thinking of getting the Engine Pro but I cant use a thumb throttle and Engwe say there is no way to replace with a twist throttle :( Do you know if that's true? I was hoping you would be able to swap them. Thanks for your help.
These throttles are compatible with the display and the controller so they really need to match. If Engwe officially told you that they do not have another compatible throttle then definitely they don't have one.
OK thanks for the reply, Maybe I will go for Engine X. Do you think the motor on the engine x is similar to the L20?@@TechTronic9000
@@Doves96 Yes the Engine X has a similar motor has has very good torque
Good day, can you please tell me if this bike can be ridden without the help of the legs, and is there any difference between the Engwe L20 250w and the Engwe L20 750w, or is it possible that this is purely done according to the documents, so that you can legally ride in Europe, but in fact the engines are they the same?
I will be very grateful for the answer.
Yes you can ride it by only using the throttle, you need to unlock that first. The power also goes up from the "standard" 250W. I have uploaded some extra videos about that and how to do it.
Has anyone answered your question about the real practical differences between the EU 250W & International 750W versions...like trying to get bl00d from a stone.
As far as I can tell, there are significant differences in the way one accesses the menu on the display, which is not explained by the company, when they're still giving customers the OLD instructions for that display...not good & which causes confusion & lock outs...
What is the max? range this bike can cover judged on your experience and not the maker's claims. Thank you. I really need a bike with importance based on a long range rather than speed as I am a senior rider and would also require a step-through bike.
I've just received mine and did 40km range and battery died.... I used level 4 and 5 assist with sometimes just throttle... And not max settings, middle settings... I will write to the company because they claim 140km LMAO
@@KarenT352they claim 140km in mode 1 pedal assist, wich is almost no power and goes only at a speed of around 8km/h
@@carlossaez3586 yeah so far that's my only complain honestly, been having a blast with the bike ! Would be nice to have a back suspension and a better front one, i'd buy that with a markup in price anyday, bike is fun !
When do you show how activate throttle
Yes, would appreciate this. Our bike arrived today and would live to have this feature.
Here is how to enable the throttle ruclips.net/video/sVi7M6kJHMc/видео.html and here is how to unlock the speed ruclips.net/video/Bd2wmjwQVyE/видео.html
Could you please tell the approx. coast for a second akku ? - Thanks in advance !

Thanks a lot !!@@TechTronic9000
How is the performance after a year?
It's doing fine.
Can you upgrade the battery ?
Only if you are into DIY
is the battery upgradable for this bike ?
It's quick replaceable so you can get an extra one and swap it in seconds.
How is it on hills
Goes great, it has copious amounts of torque.
Can you take off the front rack?
Sure you can. I highly recommend you to check my other videos about this bike, in particular the initial unboxing and setup.
@@TechTronic9000 I'm watching your videos since a couple of weeks! Thank you for your time, I am having great fun
Is the display removable?
No, it's not removable.
@@TechTronic9000 oh that’s not wise from engwe
Why is it not wise, it's a dedicated non branded display held up in screws. It's not like a Garmin GPS to attract thieves. This display will only work with a dedicated controller such as the one found on the L20.
Is it possible to unlock the throttle but keep the speed limit at 25 km/h?
Yes it's possible.
@@TechTronic9000 thank you!
Crazy thing, like in Norway this would not be legal.. Cause it has the ability to not be legal. If it's not blocked to ONLY 25km pr hour and max 250w power with pedal assist ONLY it wont be legal here.
The bike is legal if you don't mess with it. It comes locked and you can get an EU certificate for it. In my reviews I like to squeeze all the performance so I can better showcase how it works.
@@TechTronic9000 my point was, we have silly rules here in norway when it comes to electric bikes. like, you can have a 12 year old on a electric scooter with 1500w and a trottle, and that's fine. As a adult you still can only have 250w on a bike, and it can not have a trottle on it. it can be pedal assist ONLY. so if a bike has the ability to choose between trottle or assist , it's not legal here. it's so silly. . But great video.
I'm buying a fatbike next month, so I just been watching lot's and lot's of videos about electric bikes latly. =)
Yes I truly understand you. I have lots of kids riding rent scooters with no knowledge of laws and traffic, yet the rules for bikes state 250W/25km/h. Yet I'm still lucky as this doesn't apply for any kind of road that is not public, so you can still unlock and have fun.
25km/h is illegal?
Over 25km/h in EU is illegal :)
same here in Singapore I belief our e-bike rules the same as EU .. have fun ..
but throttles not allow ... :(
Same should be here, but no one checks and they are still permitted when it doesn't go above 25km/h or you don't ride on a public road.
I just got mine, and did nowhere near the claimed range of 140km ! False advertisement from ENGWE. I know range can vary from rider and conditions, but I got only 40km out of this bike... and only 25km on max settings...... Very very disappointed... All the rest is pretty good, except some gears jumping but this I'm sure I can adjust... I will be writing a complain to the company, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT !
The claimed range is obtainable under special conditions such as using only assisted mode 1, 25°C temperature, no wind, tire pressure is maximum for their rating, brakes are adjusted not to drag, rider has 55-65kg maximum, etc. It's normal if you unlock the bike to deplete the battery in 25km.
Special conditions ? What a cop out ! You'll be expecting a rainbow to be included in these special conditions next ?
@@paulgee6150 A lot of rainbows. Bike is holding good, would be nice with a back wheel suspension. A little ruff on the ass.
@@KarenT352 just like the normal bikes sore bum after long ride was on the fence of getting the E26 but decided on getting this L20 in green just as it be more suited for when I go fishing haha 👍
Looks like a Fiido cargo clone
