@@geonetro1345 I don't understand your comment. Yes its TAS the video itself says it is, but that doesn't make it any less impressive, especially with the RNG Manip on display. Having to rout to get it to line up like that, plus finding a seed that works probably took more than a week, and that's an understatement. It's not like someone just hit a button that was like "Give me a TAS Speedrun" someone had to program all these inputs, frame by frame, and do to that to this degree, clearly takes immense knowledge of this game, and not to mention time, dedication, and effort.
it sounds like a very fast skip but there is a LOT of rng in the pit of trials plus all of the skips aren’t reliant on speed and mainly it involves a lot of height for important skips like the rainbow bridge skip in 7-4 or the peach skip in 7-3 so it might sound good but i don’t see why it would be optimal for a full game tas given all of the other conditions
@@nmflash8 it also might take really long to do because of all the rng elements that were in the original pit of 100 trials run, but considering that skips in this game are not really dependent on your speed it would probably not save any time at all and may even lose time since the pit of trials could last longer, but then again i’ve never seen it but since your saying that it doesn’t then i believe that to be true
@@matthewlopetegui6204 yeah! I mean it could be faster I would just be really shocked to see dashell save that much time, I think it could be considered worth it if the pit was 10 minutes, but idk a whole 20 minutes is a lot of time
@@nmflash8 it is a lot of time and i agree with you that i would be really impressed to see an any% run where dashell is used. also 10 minutes for the pit of 100 trials sounds extremely difficult in my opinion so i agree that 20 minutes is an accurate time to beat the pit of 100 trials but i don’t think it’s optimal
well yeah this is a TAS, or a tool assisted speedrun, the run is being carefully crafted using computer programs to create the theoretically best run possible, and randomness is constantly exploited to get the perfect results such as key drops and item drops from normal enemies
21:20 Can someone please explain what happens here?? Did Mario damage the dragon in 3D mode? And how did he walk so fast down the dragon’s back to end up at its head when he flipped back to 2D?
Yes, mario damaged them in 3D, their weak spot is in 3D. at a certain point, the dragon's back slopes and mario can't stand on it anymore, he wasn't walking at all. when you flip dimensions on ground, and end up not on ground in the other dimension, mario stays in place midair until he jumps, or goes into freefall after a short time. This midair freeze not only lets you skip the cycle because they loop around, but lets you jump directly onto their weak point.
You can jump on the antenna in 2D and 3D, when Mario’s 3D meter depletes he takes damage, so you can abuse this to drop the enemy you are holding to get a double jump off the enemies head, you can see a more clear version of this at 14:00 after that it’s just nifty 3D switches to get back on top of fractails antenna
I saw 50 minutes and thought that was pretty fast for the pit. Then I saw the game start from the beginning and started getting a little scared
I've done Pre-Chapter 2 Pit and I'm fucking awestruck currently.

Clearing a hundred rooms in roughly twenty minutes is amazing.
Oh, sweet, now that you have Dashell, you can get the hamster wheel room in Merlee's Mansion and get Rubees faster!
Just get it from the vault lol 😂

I am anything but disappointed. Superb job with this TAS. Don't know what compelled me to search for it, but I am thankful I did.
Mario must have drank a see-through vision potion to see which enemy has the key
It’s a TAS so it’s gonna cheat
"I feel like I beat the pit faster than that"
*sees them start new game*
"Oh no."
Thank you for absolutely blowing my mind with one of my favorite games, fellow Super Paper Mario player.😁👍🏽
Great job igrmi, this was amazing!
GG, Amazing work
If it isn’t the scanner skip man
great work Igrmi!
Really enjoyed this! :)

Of course you RNG manipulate for key drops on every floor... that's just disgusting. Cool TAS! Must have taken ages to make.
The door positions are also randomized, so he had to manip those too. Crazy amount of work
@@ethanhopper2467 Not always
Well fortunately the pit of 100 trials in super paper Mario are way quicker than in thousand year door
There's also two of them and you have to beat one of them twice

wonder if dashell saves time in a full game TAS, since it only costs 20mins to nearly double your speed

you get control of where the door spawns in the pit?
TAS allows rerecords of frames, he can look for the door then rerecord to get there instead of looking for it
