When I remove that bulk part out of the wigs that I do, I also remove the adjustable straps from the wig. Then I add two small to pay clips at each corner of the bottom around the neckline. I also like to have the ability to use tape at the front of the wig. Waterproof lace tape a quarter inch wide. You might need to sew a very thin small piece of plastic sometimes called a tape shield. Into the front of the wig. If you can't find a tape shield go to Walmart find some of their thinner plastic tablecloths. Anything flexible plastic will work. Very secure.
She did a perfect job and would love to see her pursue commentator or something with Tv, perhaps advertising. She has a great voice, disposition, contact with viewer, respect, delivery, great class about her, and i wish this lady much success!

Looks good ...you can always sew a couple of wig clips into the wig at the back for security if you are cutting further up and using your own hair at the back kind of like a topper would be 😍

I absolutely loved this..I tried using scissors when I was pretending to be a wigologist 🤣 but I messed it up so I used tweezers to remove the comb and it turn out great

I never thought to actually cut off the additional tracks... I always simply folded the "nape" of the wig over, and pinned it down once I placed the wig on. I also clipper cut or razor combed to blend the back. Love your method!
This is so creative...i just want to say how pretty you are .....! I have extreme hair loss and have worn a hairpiece for years. I am now getting so sparce on my sides and nape that i need to go into a full wig. All i have tried on drive me nuts in the nape.....i cannot wait to try your techniques! I have always used this technique with my short hair weaves so its not surprising to do this also with a short wig! Im just now growing out my back (about the first 4 inches were shaved). For now, I like the fuller coverage I get from my short hair wigs! The more neck the better to cover my 'widows peak' neck hairline! LOL! This is cute on you! Makes me want to start shaving again!

WOW! Thank you! I have a wig I bought earlier this year that I thought looked really cute. Unfortunately when I saw myself in a picture it looked way too wiggy. Have not worn it since. I have always used this technique with my short hair weaves so its not surprising to do this also with a short wig! Im just now growing out my back (about the first 4 inches were shaved). For now, I like the fuller coverage I get from my short hair wigs! The more neck the better to cover my 'widows peak' neck hairline! LOL! This is cute on you! Makes me want to start shaving again!
