12:18 for BYD cars to change air-cond setting you can use 3finger sliding up down and left right to do temp and fan speed. No need to slide down and exit the carplay
With my Atto3, I can adjust the Aircon temp by using a 3 finger swipe up/down and fan speed left/right. Alternatively use voice control to adjust. Would have thought that the M6 would have this feature too
For this car, you can easily control the aircon speed/temperature using the button/scroll controls on the steering wheel. Alternatively, can just use 3 finger swap. BTW, I noticed that you turned off the ICC, change lane, and turn it back on again. You can actually just change lanes without the need to disable the ICC. The car will automatically adjust the speed accordingly.
This is known as the BYD Emax7 in India. The reviewers here also have reviewed it positively, minor shortcomings notwithstanding. Looking forward to buying it, but the charging network is concentrated mostly in urban areas.
Much more practical than a model Y for its space, wireless CarPlay / AA, V2L, road tax, warranty, ride comfort, vent seats and safe battery -- except that it’s in a permanent ultra chill drive mode…
Good job accelerating on the accelerating lane going into the expressway. Not many drivers know to accelerate and match speeds with drivers on the expressway and they hog the lane.
really love your ev reviews bro. im keen to trade in my ice veh for a cat A model 3 next year, would you mind sharing the various cost of ownership (diff between cat A & cat B version) etc? will be interested in a vid of it, even comparison against the byd seal would be great. keep up the great work!
I bought my first ev (m6) after watching several videos on ev ownership... After 2mths, I'm kinda regretting not getting a hybrid instead. The road tax and insurance premiums far exceed any cost savings on charging and the need to find a charger every 3days is such a hassle. I'm not sure i will advice anyone into getting an ev at this point
I'm driving an Atto3. I find it more convenient as whenever I'm at a shopping centre with a charger, I'll just charge. But I understand that it's down to lifestyle and if you're not at places with chargers often then you need to work out another strategy for charging.
Yes, it inconveniences myself having to visit a mall just to charge at times i never plan to visit one. Then that comes with paying for parking and end up spending money for coffee while waiting etc...
based on research, DC charging is 1) slightly more expensive 2)puts more strain on the battery and shortens the battery life cycle which means reduced max range on your car over time. DC charging would be good if you do need a quick charge but I think AC charging should be used by default

I just bought M6 (Thailand) but the air conditioner brings in bad smells even when on recirculate. Is this a common problem? Any solution?
7k w, lol help them to clear their old stock parts no car manufacturer wants. Futhermore third row seats cant even pull down completely. How you put things box straight. See most parts cheapo. Lol a car model with no track records, talks like dream car. Wait till accident see the car how much it can protect passenger.
Buy at your own risk. Most Chinese EVs will start to show all sorts of interesting quality problems within a year. Suggests doing more research on problems of owning a Chinese EVs and the frustration of owners.
You can use 3-fingers mode to adjust the aircond temp by swiping up/down or fan speed by swiping left/right. No need to exit carplay.
Thanks for the tip!
Very detailed review! Great to have more EV models in SG
Thanks Boon Tee! EVs are becoming the mainstream choice for car buyers in Singapore with many affordable options now available.
This is a wonderful review! I just got this car, and I learnt a lot from your video!
Thanks for sharing! Really enjoying driving this now! 😊
Congrats on your new BYD M6, Edward! 🎉
This is really great review and it is very helpful for the potential buyers.
Thanks for the kind words!
Great review, Daren!
Thanks! 🙏🏻
It’s a best selling model in Malaysia.
I wont disagree. It costs $30k in malaysia
Becos it's cheapo more easily to afford. Wait till accident proven..if not no more than a Honda fit.
Thanks for the detailed review.

BYD puts Tesla to shame
Good review... Nice car to buy... 😊
Thanks!
Nice video 👍 great car
You mentioned the panoramic roof can be closed and opened, which is not true. What you can control is the shade.
Yes, thanks for the correction!

Thanks for the kind words! Covered some of these topics in our Cat A Model 3 review video: ruclips.net/video/uyUzEMyuG70/видео.htmlsi=jJHL8hntpbplt2f6
good review, very detailed. When the AC charging is gonna be from 7 to 11
Hopefully in the 2026 version! 🤞🏻
How many airbags does it have ?

Hi bro.. Thanks for the review. Would this car have issues overtaking on expressway due to the detuned torque and hp?
With 0-100km/h acceleration in 11.9 seconds for the Singapore variant, it'll be okay for gradual overtakes but nothing too aggressive.
As an m6 owner, on expressway travelling at est 90kmh, dun expect to easily overtake..
It was cool to see your report!
Do you know if the third seat row can be removed altogether? (Instead of just folding the seats)
How?
No digital display for an ev?
Why would I want to use public AC chargers when faster DC chargers are available?
based on research, DC charging is 1) slightly more expensive 2)puts more strain on the battery and shortens the battery life cycle which means reduced max range on your car over time. DC charging would be good if you do need a quick charge but I think AC charging should be used by default

Haven't heard of this issue in Singapore yet! Let us know if you found a solution!
What's the road tax?
How much is the BYD M6 and how much is the road tax per year.
$1.5k
Bro, stated is 8.7 seconds 0-100 while Indonesian youtuber tested 7.7s
Singapore version is a detuned one to meet the CAT A requirements.
@@erikstevetronik8058 Singapore life is also detuned. thanks to COE Cat A, B , C....
@@duncankowable yes I bought the m6 and it’s unthinkable just 4 years ago for the current price.
a real 6 seater should be with sliding doors. even the Sienta, freed being smaller are equipped with sliding doors....
At least there are aircon ducts for every rows. This is very important. Sienta if is really 190k then no brainer to get this car.
There is a problem with the steering, sometimes the right tire is alloy. missing etc weel and staring not working
100k+ sgd very compelling? U just called me poor in singlish n sgd T.T
Perfect for private hires. Great for carrying luggage
It is not a true 7 seater, more accurate to call it a 5+2 Seater.
Electric Toyota Wish
You need to pay $600 (I think) for a locally fitted frunk.
Just go order from your Malaysian friend, RM 600 max✔️
Is there even one for the m6? I can't find
charging speed is way to slow for me
How long
192k for a Sienta 😂🤮
this is just an electrified version of a wish..... or rather an E6 with an added 3rd row thus renamed m6
so the front camera is a white elephant and blocking your view as well...

And how long does it take to charge full at 7kw
