Whoever came up with Australia was a fucking genius
British prisoners were giga big brained
@@professionalspecialist5780 Imagine if the US had never rebelled and won. Originally, it was the US that England sent it's prisoners too but then it kicked England out and so the Brits had to find a new place to send it's prisoners. And now Australia exists.
I wish Australia was real.
Australia
more like
Bosstralia.
As an aussie i disagree
This was actually quite popular in the UK so much that they actually created and colonized Australia 😊☺️ always follow your dreams
hey, got a joke for you; knock knock!

@@IRoIN100 Australia: *created*
everyone considered that a good thing
“The houses are on fire again, I guess Australia loves gender reveal parties”
I fucking lost it.
nah that'sjust a normal ausssie summer :3
as a Aussie that was near a bush fire
it was fucking funny ngl XD
Speaking as an Australian, I agree that there are too many mech suit levels around here. It get's really boring when you're just trying to drive down the road and then you're suddenly magically transported out of your car and into a helicopter.
Thank you for this information, Australian
Or when you drop something and get teleported into a Loader Bunyip
What does that have to do with being Aistralian
Tasmanian here, and I’m happy to say that Ty was… moderately successful here?
In case you were curious, Tasmania is mostly forest, grass plains, and oddly enough rainforests.
We also have a native hen species here that’s colloquially known as “turbo chooks” because of how fast they dart around
I feel like if I heard "Turbo Chook" outside of this context, I'd still assume that Australians came up with the name.
second tasmanian checking in to +1 this
thanks for teaching me about turbo chooks. been obsessed with videos of them for the past half hour.
@@YasugoLiehu Chooks is what Aussies call chickens after all
I know the joke is that you’re playing the sequel but I really recommend checking out the original, it’s extremely charming and doesn’t have as much of the gimmicky stuff
Remember the commercial for Ty 1 where it’s implied that he beat the ever-loving shit out of Sonic, Crash and Spyro, leaving all three of them in the hospital with full body casts?
I know it’s unrelated to this game, I just think of that when I think of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger
I’m so glad that Australia was made into a game so that I can learn about their talking, walking Tasmanian tigers, and, um, other stuff because I don’t know much about the game! lol
I’m loving these “Underrated games” reviews you’ve been making.
If I could suggest you one to check out it would be Gravity rush, The title is pretty self explanatory so I can’t really tell you the premise but I think it would be a neat game for you to make a review on.
Ooooh yeah it would be neat to see Rad cover GR 1 and 2, I wonder what his takes on them would be.
Gravity Rush has such personality! The gameplay can vary at times, but it’s worth a look.
OMG! Gravity Rush fans out in the wild!
Just don't tell him there's a Gravity Rush 2, or apparently he'll only play that one.
Big fan of that game
it took a lot of bravery for Rad to come out as Australian.
It also took a lot of bravery to trim his armpit hair for the sake of being Australian
Yeah, kinda confused me though, at first he was a sellout plugging his merch, then he was Scott The Woz and then he was an Australian. Like buddy MAKE YOUR MIND UP
I just had a really pice of shit 14 hour shift and now I'm coming home to tons of college work. And low and behold, Radicalsoda says, "Here, let me make you forget about you depresses anger and make you laugh when you need it most." Thank you so much Rad ❤️
As an Australian I has no idea Ty existed until I went to ACMI one day and it was there as a "classic" australian game and I was so confused
The funny thing is, during the early days of RadicalSoda (Pre-Sonic Forces) people thought Robert was an Australian.
taco bfb!?!?
As an Australian that visited the country once...
..... In a dream can confirm Australia was based off of this game
Imagine if the US had never rebelled and won. Originally, it was the US that England sent it's prisoners too but then it kicked England out and so the Brits had to find a new place to send it's prisoners. And now Australia exists.
we would have never become canon if that was the case
You comment this twice
"you gotta do the same house mission from before, because i guess the people of Australia love a goof fking gender reveal party" this made me lose it bahahaha!
As an Australian I am relieved to finally see some accurate representation in both your review and this game.

We have bush, they have bush fires.
We have kiwis, they have cassowaries.
Australia is New Zealand on steroids?
@@seg162 How about steroids mixed with meth.
Ty 2 is a timeless masterpiece
This game looks like a bunch of different guys came together with a bunch of entirely different game ideas and thought "wait guys, we don't have to make separate games, we'll just all make different parts of one game!"
Honestly I prefer the first game. It was more mario 64 -ish. And had less gimmicks. The music was pretty good in the first one too.
I agree that the first one was the best. I don’t think Ty 2 was terrible but it felt pretty tedious at times and I didn’t even finish Ty 3
First game was great, I didn't like the town setup in Ty 2 as much but it was still a fun game. I feel like the first game's level environments were a little better too.
Though I will say that Ty 2 blessed us with a better voice actor for Sly because while I like him a lot, goodness GRACIOUS his voice in Ty 1 didn't fit. But with that trade-off we lost Ty's OG voice (Who also voiced Sly), which was better than Ty 2's Ty voice.
Jesus Christ I have Australian friends and they’ve told me a lot of stories, let’s see if they come true
Honestly really impressed with the scott the woz bit, i wouldve thoutht its just green screened but your wall looka different than his and you can aee proper lighting and Shadow's, i think you genuinely recreated his whole set just for a 5 second bit, genius
Did you hear about those Tasmanian Tigers? I hear they have curved sticks...
*Curved* Sticks.
i have a strong sense of Nostalgia for this game due to TY being a big influence of my childhood, i tried my best to 100% all 3 and it has some of my best moments i have with gaming throughout my life, and the Kart Racing in this got me into my love of Mario Kart since before then i never played any of them before. this game may be flawed but i cant deny how much this game trilogy was a part of my life.
Can’t even tell the difference between my front yard and this game
I loved playing this game as a kid and just like you, this was my first Ty game. I still haven't completed any of the others lol. Recently played it again on Steam, which had noticeable improvements made over the PS2 version including basically non-existent load-times, and while I still think it's a good and relaxing time overall, I agree that some of the vehicle/bunyip sections can be tedious.
I feel like you would have really liked Ty 1 better. It had more of a cohesive story (Ty's family was locked in some sort of alternate dimension whose name escapes me, Ty was therefore raised by a family of bilbies and one day discovers the truth about his family from a Bunyip Elder), the hub world was more appealing and less of a bother than Ty 2's town setup, and also the mission levels I think had an overall better design. There wasn't really any of the mecha stuff, I think they just wanted to add more variety to the gameplay (but if you ask me, the game didn't really need it because it's already pretty solid as is). One of the co-creators is also a pretty cool dude, he's got a Deviantart account and you can tell he's got a lot of passion for his game. We had Ty 1 and 2 growing up and they were a lot of fun.
(Also I had a minor crush on Sly growing up, lol)
The thumbnail character is unironically really well drawn
Her name is Poppy.
In the Ty games, the least accurate things to Australia are the spiders.
They're too small.
If the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was produced in Australia, they'd have been playing basketball with spiders in the intro.
Awesome! Glad you took my suggestion to heart!
Krome Studios went back to the drawing board some time after they initially made their first(?) prototype for TY 2 which was essentially not at all like the final game but more like the first game. SO MUCH content was cut. Some of which are still in the files of the PC version. (You can ask the TY speedrunning Discord about that.) It's hard to say if the game would've been any better if Krome had stuck with the final game's concepts since the beginning of development, but it sure wouldn't have been rushed as badly.
really happy to see you uploading more often
:>
us australians love driving under time limits. its our favourite past time
It's kinda funny how much these extra stuff plummet your enjoyment when they didn't exist in the 1st game. Almost exactly like my experience with Spyro 3 and his stupid friends.
Love the consistently lately, much good very enjoy.
A treat to see Ty on this channel.
Ty 3 was one of my favorite games as a kid, but it was also the only Ty game I played so take that as you will.
I freaking LOVE New radicalsoda videos
The whole playing the sequel's first before the original is something I can relate with but i've also had experiences with games were I just play the series in the most unorthadoxed way possible. With Sly Cooper I played the first one and got scared of the 3rd chapter which made me stop playing it for a while, jumped all the way to Sly 3 and the same happened again because I got scared of the big wolf in the 3rd chapter but I did go back and finished it, played and finished Sly 2 and then finally went back and beat the first one.
Omg three radical soda videos in a month, what is this two years ago
The "hey Ty!" Segment made me crack up, especially the spark plug part. Thank you Rad, I needed that
Rad's production values have gone up so much with the recent videos; loving the new intro/outros. Keep at it man; you're one of my favorite RUclipsrs 👍
The Ty games are so underrated! I grew up with the first game more than 2 and 3, and they’re all pretty fun but I still come back to play the first one every now and then because the music is great and the gameplay and story is so simple yet fun.
Would love to see more under the radar kind of game reviews.
I've been subbed to this channel for years and noticed on twitter you upload new stuff, yet I never saw it. So I check and lord and behold, RUclips unsubbed me. Pissed me right off as I love your stuff.
God I loved this series
0:27 that awkward pause to the "GDAY MATES" was so good 😂
I remember Ty 3 fondly from when I played it as a kid
As someone who went to Australia it would be more accurate to say that australia the videogame would be like this yes, But with a side dish of fallout bug monsters. While looking like Florida hopping on one leg.
also everything's on fire during summer
@@sarafontanini7051 yes. But also flooding at the same time somehow.
Rad, thank you so much for this AMAZING content!
This is so nostalgic!!! I've think I only seen my brother play this for about a month and never seeing it again. the shark cage lvl? Has some hidden trauma I'm shure of it
Loved these games
Crash Bandicoot with boomarangs
Edit: Also there needs to be a mod where Rad dubs the entire game, yes, we need a kiwi boy dubbing an Aussie game
Im so glad your not just covering sonic stuff anymore, you seem alot more lively in these videos
You Rippah! I didn’t think you’d upload again this soon! S’truth!
I have no idea what's going on and i love it
I love this over the first one, but the Ty 3 now that's something different
I love radicalsoda's vids. Best on RUclips imo. Actually funny jokes.
10:35 when you think about it, the fact that Fluffy has boobs is also a plot hole. Where is a reptile gonna get mammary glands before the mammal blood genetic experiment had a chance to happen?
Tell that to the elder scrolls
@@crestofhonor2349 I guess I shouldn't assume they're *functional* boobs
look maybe she had some work done, its not our place to judge
EHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHHEH
I like the first game a lot. It's not necessarily great, but it was one of my childhood favs. Brings a smile to my face whenever it shows up on the sorts of channels to review these games. That being said, the second game looks wild. I dunno if I just never got far enough in the first, but mech suits? Wack.
Just remembered this is the game that gave me my arachnophobia, thanks for dredging up painful memories, liked and subscribed
Another beautiful Sam's Telecommunications Institutionalisation reference but this time at the start
The sound of the boomerangs is forever stuck in my head
Nothing like seeing an upload about one of my favorite games ever.
And yes, I *am* blinded by nostalgia and *will* always call this game an 11/10 (but you're free to lot like it because it's just an opinion)
Fucking love the ffx-2 music in your outro, makes a lot of sense now
The only knowledge I have of Ty is when it came out it was one of 3 games I ever saw get a TV ad here and the Ty one was of Mario, Sonic and Crash all in full body casts in a hospital and Ty walking past them as they all look nervous.
For some reason that's a core memory despite never hearing of the game after that. I think even as a teenager I thought it was a little try-hard
Thanks for this.
today i learned where new zealand is
Most Kiwis: We're not Australian
RS: I'M AUSTRALIAN
wow you tore into this game a fair bit. i guess that makes you the ty-breaker!
broooo i love ty i used to play that all the time as a kid
Despite its problems, I still really love this game! It may very well just be my nostalgia talking, but I always enjoy kicking back and replaying it occasionally. I'd love to see Krome take a crack at a new Ty game.
My favorite game in the Ty series!
Fellow new Zealander. I'm so happy I met you.
Finally more covering on Ty.
I actually really relate to that intro. But also i love the Ty series
This game sounds like a Sonic Unleashed situation where the game feels padded out by something that no one asked for.
I mean, you tell me your game has you piloting giant robots and I'm gonna be excited until I see what it's actually like.
As someone who used to really not enjoy Sonic Unleashed to it being one of their favourite games I disagree.
The main issue with Unleashed was the jarringly different playstyles, that whilst both stick to the platformer genre, they require a different set of skills that most people who originally played the game probably weren't used to.
Ty 2 keeps the same style, but foolishly relies on the mere broad appeal of giant mechs to make up for the lack varied gameplay. The Werehog's gameplay is incredibly varied from level to level, but are incredibly time consuming if not done to peak standard.
I love the references man
dear god this brought back memories of playing the gameboy one
All these years and I never knew you could change Ty's shorts
It wasn't in the original, they added that feature in the HD port that came out about a year ago.
I think Radical might just be scared of games without a number thats why he played so many sequels
I remember playing this on the Switch last year, as an Australian, I loved how stereotypical it was.
Same. Even got the cool USB shaped like a boomerang too!
I really love this channel 🤣
Dude this is my childhood game!!! Me and my siblings would play it all day
When ty said who are you and how do you know my name to black doom whilst his forces invaded westopolis I felt that
The game became so popular that the developers made Australia into a real country :0
As an aussie I can say you’re absolutely correct
I remember just small bits and pieces of the first Ty from when I was a kid, like an upside-down fever dream.
australia vs new zealand is like france vs england
except I can't tell who is who
I love watching reviews for games I've never heard of and will never play
Oh my god this game was my childhood! I love it!
This man just KNOWS how to make a good thumbnail. No wonder a degenerate like me watch’s him.
(Disclaimer: this is a joke lol)
As an Australian, I feel obligated to retaliate against all the slander presented here.
...uh... er, hm. I can't do it; I just like ya too much. So, _funny RadicalSoda reference._
I loved this game as a kid
Radical, you make my day haha
As someone who lived in Australia for a while but never considered themselves Australian this is hilarious to me. Ya nailed it
used to play this game a lot as a kid, and tbh the main reason I kept replaying it was the charming setting, everything else felt really underdone even as a kid
I had 100% this game so many times. I have the PS2 version of this game and even bought the switch version to remember the good tomes
To be fair, the Loader is meant to be a slow, clunky-but-strong type machine. Doesn't stop it from being annoying.
