Late Nick Bollettieri found him fun & took him to IMG under Sony foundation.. (For 2024 Kei took Yoshie's Olympic spot by imposing his protect ranking which undeserving). at filiperufino303 ? Do what yoshie does.,& show us what you do Lol
For some reason his forehand stroke grinds my gears, that endless stupid flick up with the racket finishing pointing back behind him above his head, is it really necessary?
i live in atlanta. awesome tennis city. great players everywhere. made no sense to hold this event in July. weather is awful with temperature and rain. they would struggle filling up the crowd if it was free because of the heat. sad to see a great tennis city lose its event because of poor planning year after year.
@@TimelyAdventure yeah. it’s really disappointing. i could write a whole paper on it but that would require more planning than they put into the event itself 😂
@@Kienlamb To be honest, most of tournaments are happening in summer time wherever they are and with global warming the conditions aren't getting better anywhere on the planet.
I think he opted out of playing Olympics instead focusing on the tour and playing ATP events. Doesn't make sense for him to not be selected as he is Japans NO.1 tennis player.
@@limhyeon4734 oh i didn't realize Taro Daniel was JPN NO.1 I guess that makes sense why Nishioka didn't make the cut. I was assuming that he was JPN NO.1 but I guess he wasn't.
Nishikori went instead of him. We have doubles specialists in Japan and I've been trying to look up how that was decided but can't find anything. Nishioka was very vocal about wanting to go to the Olympics. What's sad is nishikori just said he had feelings of wanting to win and lose at the se time bc he wanted murray to keep playing... Nishikori had 5 match points and couldn't close it out.... I like both players but I wish nishioka was given the chance...
Yoshi was super clutch there in that tiebreaker and then in game 3 of the third set where he had to save a couple of break points to keep the momentum out of Jordan Thompson's hands. A well deserved win. Its a bummer that the rain delays killed the crowd.
I admire how humble Nishioka is. That's a huge factor in a tennis player's success. I can't but wish him the best. Maybe we're witnessing the rise of a new star of Japanese tennis!
The stadium was almost full...then there was a 4 hour rain delay at the end of the second set, they resumed play at midnight and almost everyone left at that point :/
Yoshi has a very unique forehand stroke production, that looks like it would be very difficult on the shoulder. Do we know if hes had serious shoulder injuries?
For some reason his forehand stroke grinds my gears, that endless stupid flick up with the racket finishing pointing back behind him above his head, is it really necessary? Is it because he is short so he goes up on the ball?
If anyone is wondering, there was a 4 hour rain delay and most of the crowd left
Lol I was wondering … that makes sense . I was so confused
And they resumed play at midnight on a Monday morning
I was one of the crowd members waiting for the rain delay…it was awful…
I really thought pickeball and padle were taking tennis fans out of the courts...
I was wondering what happened!
Nishioka is always so fun to watch I don't see strokes like his otherwise on the tour; and individual is always appreciated.

Cannot agree more. The worst weather condition in Atlanta is in July. Any other time of the year would make more sense
@@Kienlamb To be honest, most of tournaments are happening in summer time wherever they are and with global warming the conditions aren't getting better anywhere on the planet.
Basically it's like having the Miami Open in July. Idiotic!
so happy
Too bad the rain delay took out most of the crowd. Nishioka played an amazing 3rd set. Congrats!

Way to go, Yoshi! A great comeback to win the final Atlanta Open title! Wish you the best of luck leading up to US Open 2024.

Wow what a great tournament for Nishioka. He beat some really good players to win the title 👏🏾

It looked like a packed house before the 5 hour rain delay
Congrats to Nishioka! 🎉🏆

Nice guys do come out on top. Great way to improve what has been a disappointing season so far. Well done Yoshi.
Another final this year Jordan Thompson! Great to see Nishioka get a win! Well done to both!
Congratulations, Nishioka-san. FC from Thailand.
awesome to see Yoshi win!!!
Congrats Nishioka!!!!
Go Nishi!
Wow! Congrats, Nishioka!!!! 🎾
Looks like that salty handshake from McDonald earlier helped motivate Nishioka to go on and win the title. Congrats Yoshi!
McDonald hasn't gotten over that Australian Open loss to Nishioka couple years back. He seems befuddled at Nishioka's game.
I love seeing Mcdonald losing to Nishioka everytime 🤣 so salty
Two of my favorite lower ranked players! Love these guys
Great game!!
Great toughness!!
Let's go Yoshiiiiii🔥🔥
I'm a Yoshi fan now!! Amazing effort from him this tourney!!!

Man, I love hard court tennis.
Great match, Noshi worn down Thompson by hitting forehand to backhand in whole match. 2 hand backhand of Thompson used a lot more energy.
