They're back. Once the Yangtze china inn reopens in west bwater, there will be more. They're under construction now but it'll be a few months and they'll continue with the shows.
It was easy. I remember watching this on Headbanger's Ball back in 1990, and I did a search, and there it was!!!! When I started listening to this, I decided this would be a great "Halloween" track.
This group started out in Randolph , Mass. the drummer, Stewart Dowie, was my neighbor. we use to hear them play all the time out of there parents garage. I dont recall them having anything to do with starting Godsmack out of Lawrence Mass.
I saw this on an old 1990 Headbangers Ball episode the other night too from a DVDr that i've got. It was the episode where Riki had Testament on as guests. This video was the last one on that episode!! GREAT BAND!
I grew up listen to songs like this an other metal songs the witchin it is still one my favorite songs cause reminds me of be into witch craft witch i was into it an still think about it an i played that song while i was in to the witchery👹
Riki Rachtman had some cool bands as guests on Headbangers Ball!!! I remember in 1994 when he had members of Pantera when they were promoting their "Far Beyond Driven" album in 1994. He also played some great KICK-ASS videos every Saturday Night. Those were the good old days, when HEAVY METAL was played on MTV and on radio. LONG LIVE HEAVY METAL!!!! \m/
Sun sets, the sky is black House of horror is in your path Too young to die, too old to live On this night your soul you give Your flesh burns, plagued fear Stygian shores now appear She rises up from her grave She came back, death day The witching - lives are burning tonight The witching - souls are burning tonight The room below, her grave to be Buried alive for centuries A book of magic holds the key The rhymes and verses have set her free Your flesh burns, slaughters here Stygian shores have appeared She rose up from her grave She came back it's your day You're spellbound, frozen in fear Her wicked ways cast you there The pain and torment a smothered life Damned and cursed, she takes your life The witching - lives are burning tonight The witching - souls are burning tonight Black magic, chants and spells Revenge tonight, damned to hell No way to live, just to die Through centuries, all must die
@AngryAgain Close, Sully from Godsmack played on an album or 2 as the drummer for Meliah Rage then left and formed Godsmack. BTW, nice name ^_^ Great song.
I remember the day they shot this video. It was at the Channel night club in Boston. We were all invited to go to be in the crowd. We partied all night into the early morn and when it was time to go I was hung over . Soooo, my friends are in the pit but I'm not...... @lazerbeamcheck : Mike is a familyman and is doing very well . I see him from time to time and our kids go to school together.
I haven't heard this band since the time. Whatever happened to them?? Great heavy metal I think they sound like a lot of bands Sabbath and Iron Maiden influenced to a certain extent, but I personally like this a lot more than Maiden. That's just an opinion and I do like the earlier and some of the later Iron Maiden. For me Iron Maiden's weakness after Piece Of Mind was filling a whole album and Piece Of Mind wasn't all dandy either. Better with Di'anno I guess I fit in with people who think that, but Bruce has a killer voice. My favorite metal is bands like this raw and unbridled really demonic. Good stuff.
Just as an aside...anyone notice that Mike Monroe is playing his air guitar left handed? I love this band!!! Not a bad album in the bunch, although I don't go out of my way to play Unfinished Business ;-)
I can tell you exactly how this band started out. The band's leader and lead guitar player Anthony Nichols and I went with our girlfriends to the rat in Boston a nightclub back in the good old days and saw this band Metallica just the four of us. I didn't like them Anthony loved them. I had a band called expose and rehearsed in the Boston music complex. Anthony rented out a little corner of the room and put this band together. 2 years later they had a record deal with Epic Records. Anthony Nichols or if anybody knows him or any of the guys from this band please tell Anthony Gregg is trying to reach him and is living in Arizona now. He can find me on Facebook on my site Tommy Bolin music group
I remeber you guys saw you with, I think Gang green at sir morgans cove was like 86/87. I was in Sanguinary, we called it quits in 93 after multiple line changes, and no one was getting signed anymore cause of the GRUNGE era
I remember hearing Mike Jones on ERS interviewing Metallica after that show. The Boston Music Complex. Yes. Yes. Did your band open for Malice at Narcissus ? They shared a room. Damn. My band did that too. PINK played there too I think.... M.R was the talk of the town, when the got signed. Like how Wargasm did too.
I grew up in Alaska rocking out to these guys in junior high school... such a great album and song... this is forgotten GOLD!!!
80's 90's South Shore MA. Metal Still Rules. Miss them days. 😢
They're back. Once the Yangtze china inn reopens in west bwater, there will be more. They're under construction now but it'll be a few months and they'll continue with the shows.
Syzygy, T-House Of The Almighty, Disruptor!
One of the most unfuckwithable songs in the history of metal. Literally everything I love about metal is summed up in this song
For me this is one of those songs I've gotta keep replaying! A "true" heavy metal gem!!
I use to listen to this on my walkman... loved this band !
Same
It was easy. I remember watching this on Headbanger's Ball back in 1990, and I did a search, and there it was!!!!

Fuck, I miss the late 80's/early 90's.
This group started out in Randolph , Mass. the drummer, Stewart Dowie, was my neighbor. we use to hear them play all the time out of there parents garage. I dont recall them having anything to do with starting Godsmack out of Lawrence Mass.
+Bob Reynolds Suly Erna played with them on a unreleased demo in the mid 90's, which is where I think that came from
hahaha Mingya Valley is where SUlly is from
Always will be a true heavy metal masterpiece! Rock on fellas and greetings from Finland!
This song and video makes me so happy

Yeah I don't get why he's hated so much. He might be an annoying interviewer but he seemed to have his metal heart in the right place.
Sun sets, the sky is black
House of horror is in your path
Too young to die, too old to live
On this night your soul you give
Your flesh burns, plagued fear
Stygian shores now appear
She rises up from her grave
She came back, death day
The witching - lives are burning tonight
The witching - souls are burning tonight
The room below, her grave to be
Buried alive for centuries
A book of magic holds the key
The rhymes and verses have set her free
Your flesh burns, slaughters here
Stygian shores have appeared
She rose up from her grave
She came back it's your day
You're spellbound, frozen in fear
Her wicked ways cast you there
The pain and torment a smothered life
Damned and cursed, she takes your life
The witching - lives are burning tonight
The witching - souls are burning tonight
Black magic, chants and spells
Revenge tonight, damned to hell
No way to live, just to die
Through centuries, all must die
Pure metal. One of the best 👌 👍

There's a fine line between having an angry concerned expression and a constipated one. Err, he's on the wrong side of it.
...dear gods. Are they trying to "get" gay? 'Cuz this is how you "get" gay. Don't "get" gay, kids.
Yeah I hate that bald guy... Mike Munro is awesome
