You guys are so much fun, thank you. I turned 70 this year, celebrated 50th anniversary (married at 20, did that back then), and… started knitting last summer. Having so much fun, made myself a sweater, a beanie for my grandson, socks for my daughters and friends. Love watching you, you are both very inspiring. 🤗
Awesome I will be 71 this year and I will be retiring in July . Can't wait for the next adventure. Selling my house and moving back to my hometown in Ohio
Ancient arts is my favourite yarn store in the whole world ! I sometimes cheat with other yarn stores but they ship by purolator and I usually get the next day in Jasper !
I had a rough two weeks at work. Very challanging mentally. I didn‘t knit anything for a few werks now, I just didn‘t have it in me. I was looking forward so much. It relaxed me and conected me with my knitting again. Thank you ladies! 🙌🏻
Thanks for great fun while I’m hand stitching. I knit less than I stitch/quilt and I’ve loved the 8-year journey I’ve had with you two fun girls. Hugs!!
"It's happening!!!! You guys!!! It's happening!!!!!" and that, that, is why I adore this beautiful podcast. You make an only child feel like a sister when we get to share your inspiration and enthusiasm, jokes and supportive, worldly ways!!! Thanks, again. With love and fuzz, Samira 🧶🦄🌈💖✨❇
Hi girl's. Iwas married at .19 and will have been married for 62 years in March!. Age doesn't matter,, feelings and determination do. Love the podcast as usual..🥰🥰
I love the Ancient Arts Yarn Studio. It’s the candy store of yarn. I just took the ‘Try It and Dye It’ class taught by Caroline. It was the most fun I’ve had with clothes on. I am making the Musselburgh hat with the yarn I dyed at the class and have named Faerie Speckle. Caroline is such a wonderful and fun teacher and I now go to the weekly knitting group.
Love the podcast. You ladies are the best ever. I’ve read the books too. I did hear Jodi mention Sue Grafton. Loved her books. She passed away in 2017. I remember knitting and reading her books many many years ago.
Another great episode as usual. Sometimes I do it in one sitting and sometimes it takes me all week to get through it. Either way…LOVE IT!! I am working on the Brookline Blouse by Kate Gardin of Mezzo Makes. I have run out of steam as I’m pretty sure I’m going to run out of yarn and have just figured out that it is because I had to go up a needle size to get gauge. Very annoying but the yarn will become something else as it is a lovely Merino/Alpaca/cotton blend from KnitCrate that I’ve had in stash for a few years. Oh and it is being housed in my pink Thread and Maple bag from the breast cancer fund raiser last year and using my pink notions page from this years fund raiser. Sorry for the essay 😅 thanks so much girls. ‘See’ you next time. Christine, Australia 🧡🧡
I knit the field sweater and had no problem catching the 3 stitches together with knitting needles, , but used a small crochet hook to do the catch 5 stitches.
Congratulations on your anniversary!! My husband and I celebrated our 60th this past June 8. We are still madly in love and doing our thing!! So happy to know that you both are happily married!! ❤
Hi Jodi and Traci! Thank you for another fun and inspiring podcast! I feel for you Jodi- I've been growing my hair out for about 9 mos- torture! It's going to be a hybrid 🙃. Traci, I'm loving the green on you and have a love-note in the same color and now I want more GREEN! #TeamDickie
Whn visiting another country, you have to buy yarn there. We were in the Netherlands last year and I came back with about 3kg of yarn from Scheepjes to make a blanket. Being in South Africa it makes it difficult to get any yarn you guys talk about. Love your chatty style and you two have inspired me to start knitting - been a crocheter for many years. Still working on getting tension and edging right, so maybe someday soon I can cast on something and finish it.
Loved this episode 🤩 I am knitting Last Frost by Elizabeth Nihoniho. Finally at the hem so nearly finished. Loved your talk on the Cozy Slouchy Socks by Laurel Fine. So different and fun. Have bought the pattern and am looking forward to casting on.
Happy Anniversary Tracey. I will celebrate our 29th this year, I got married a bit late in life, I was 30 and did the traveling before being married, I travelled to Jordan just after graduating high school and then bought a one way ticket to London and then returned home 7 weeks later. My parents celebrated their 62 years in Dec.
Hi ladies, a fabulous live, enjoy watching the replay as my sister is here on Thursdays and we spend the time knitting, chatting and giggling. Here is a book I think you might be interested in by Esther Ritter called This Golden Fleece, a journey through Britains knitted history. See you in 2 weeks 😘😘😘
Thank y’all so much for featuring my Hidden Scraps Beanie! I designed the fit of the hat to be able to come down and cover my ears because I like my ears extra warm. The hat can be worn pushed up as shown in the first example or when you pull it over your ears it slits flat to the head like in the purple example you showed. I really appreciate the feature. Great episode! ❤
Had to stop you and order the Same but Different kit. I’m knitting with Ancient Arts “Revival” while watching. Cool that it is all fibres that end upon the mill floor. Hubby is on day two after a full knee replacement so I have lots of knitting time while managing his meds and encouraging his exercises. We bought a new tub last year and hubby had to test drive all of them before we chose. And getting out is definitely not pretty!!! Love the Dickie humour!!!
Ladies, I just love you both-this is the first time that I’m commenting but I just want to say you always bring a smile to my mouth and you make me giggle every time! I’ve made a Stockholm Slipover-with my own farm yarn (millspun). I hail from Vermont and have my own podcast: Counting Sheep. Thank-you for all that you do!
When I went Ireland in 2016 I went to Cork and visited Hedgehog Fibers! Beata wasn’t in that day, but one of the employees gave me a tour of the studio. Of course I also bought yarn too.
I can’t even!!!…believe you mentioned me and my Nutiden Sweater from the retreat 🥰😘❤️ It’s Aegyoknits Busan Sweater with the big single cable down the middle.
I've been watching this episode for over a week (I have only a little downtime to sit and watch). Lol. I have enjoyed every minute. Love you ladies. I am knitting the coffee run collar btw. - aka Dickie - and I am totally loving it. Thanks for putting it on my radar. xo PS- I have been working on an I Kramer sweater and I picked 'snap pea' (a fresh green) for my color way (I bought the yarn on vacay in May '23) - totally outside my color zone - and there you are with that same green for your upcoming sweater. lol! I do love this color - it will rock with jeans for sure. xo. Twins!
Married for 42 years and got married at 18! We were told we wouldn't make it. I wouldn't recommend that age, lol, but it has worked out great. Three children and 4 grandchildren.
You guys are so funny….dickey jokes😂! The stamina to stay upright for 3 plus hours….impressive! But really, totally delightful. You kept me company while I sewed down a folded neckband and wove in all the ends of a Iceland sweater. Then I went outside to do some shoveling and when I came back in you were still there for me. You kept me giggling through lunch but there was still more so I took out some knitting and finished a sleeve. I had to push pause for the second half of the day but there’s still more Grocery Girls. Now you’ve joined me for my evening bath and I’m laughing while imagining being stuck in a bathtub at Home Depot. Hopefully I’ll make it out of my bathtub. Thanks for the fun and knitting inspiration! 😂❤🧶
Hi watching from St. Lewis Labrador Canada... lol I was 20 hubby 33 when we got married, had our 1 and only child when i was 22. We will be married 40 years December. Lovin life . I did work until 2022 now on disability. I learned to knit when i was 11 years old ..haven't stopped yet. It's getting harder with arthritis. I use only acrylic as i am allergic to real wool. I use medium weight yarn. I love your videos and wish i could use some of the yarns you use. Keep up the great work. love your videos did i say that lol.
Hello! Congratulations on your big anniversary. Thank you so much for sharing your long love of knitting. It’s wonderful that you’ve found the yarns that work best for you so that you can keep on knitting! Thank you for being here 🩷
I’m a Rhine River pal…I’m working on a test knit by Rebecca Clow called the Tyde. And on Joji Locatelli’s granny cardigan…and Stephen west’s Penguono…I’ll stop now but there is more!!!!
The book Writers on Knitting is fantastic. One inclusion that surprised me: Ann Shayne of Modern Daily Knitting. Did not know she was also a writer but she is. I subsequently read her novel and loved it.
I'm from Cork! How great that you are coming to visit Ireland. If you're going to be here in April it will more than likely rain (April Showers), but it won't be very cold, at least not by Canadian standards. Are you doing any talks or meet and greets with Irish knitters while you're here or just visiting?
Jody try not drinking caffeine for a few days for better sleep...see you guys in Toronto in May...im going to Ireland in August please do a show on what to buy
One of your BEST episodes yet! I’ve laughed so hard and have been inspired by so many things you’ve shared. Jodi, your hair looks amazing! I know you need to feel confident in it but it really does look incredible! Tracy, OMGoodness, you are your Dickey innuendos were so on point. BWAHAHAHA 😂 I love you guys and look forward to seeing you again in 2 weeks. HUGS 🤗
I got married 10 days before I turned 35. I had an infant in my arms and a second baby shortly after (16 yrs anniversary in Aug). I think all the time, I am going to be 70 if my kids wait until 35 to get married 🤯. I love my life. blessed I had the best 20’s and waited for my spouse, but I get nervous I’ll miss out on long grandkid years. I secretly pray my kids find their partners young. 😂😂😂 hehehe. So many paths in life!!
Thanks for wishing me a Happy 32nd Anniversary! I still blame Saturday Night Live for the “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha” shout outs they did repeatedly over the years LOL!
Love the podcast. Is there a website for the Florida bag making sisters? I can't find it. As a Florida knitter I must check it out 😊 Married at 20...44 years this September.
Loved watching you ladies. Always something to laugh at, learn about and enjoy. Question: Are you going to be sponsoring a team for this year’s Knit for Food?
Hi Ladies, I came in late. Jody, would you kindly repeat the name of who made your sweater again? Thank you kindly from Milton Ontario Canada. Love the show!!!

We are on the same trajectory ! Turned 70 in December and celebrated 50 years with my high school sweetheart. Life is wonderful, enjoy your journey.
Awesome I will be 71 this year and I will be retiring in July . Can't wait for the next adventure. Selling my house and moving back to my hometown in Ohio
Good morning girls
I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!! I think the hardest part of growing out your hair is always adapting to a constantly new look.
“ I’m not buying cocaine …just candles “ belongs on a t-shirt ❤😂
Valentine's Day was the best in elementary school, giving those little valentines and candies to your classmates.
Use the green for Carol Feller pattern Gallant vest. I just finished it and it’s a great pattern..super fit..and you’re seeing her.
Ancient arts is my favourite yarn store in the whole world ! I sometimes cheat with other yarn stores but they ship by purolator and I usually get the next day in Jasper !
Thank you so much for mentioning my latest design! I really appreciate it!!! ❤

Well said! Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary ❤
Omg.....those slouch socks are straight out of Au Coton! Bringing 1988 back to like. I love them!
OMG I love watching you guys! I would consider myself a novice knitter but love to challenge myself. Thank you for your informative podcasts.
I love the Ancient Arts Yarn Studio. It’s the candy store of yarn. I just took the ‘Try It and Dye It’ class taught by Caroline. It was the most fun I’ve had with clothes on. So much inspiration! Jodi stuck in the tub was a great way to end it. You are so funny.
That was a brilliant fix. I had no idea how to do that. Well done and thanks for sharing with us.
Great episode! So funny and so fun. I always leave inspired. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
Yay! Thank you so much and happy knitting to you 🧶🧶🧶
I was lucky enough to test knit the Sweet Saturday Sweater, and I agree it is fabulous!! I definitely need to shop for version 2 in Frankie Gray 🥰

Very fun show. I love long podcasts. Thank you. ❤
Yes, and go to the Coffee Corner Cafe a few door down from Hedgehog.
Also, Ballinspittle for Olga’s Craft Corner! Near Cork.
One of my favourite sweaters I’ve knit is a Carol Feller pattern “Shaniko”, which is great for Alberta weather. I knit it to knee length though.
Married 60 years. I feel very blessed.♥️🇺🇸 My husband is Italian and I am Danish.
Congratulations! ❤

I just ordered my Sweet Saturday kit from Frankie Gray! Woo-hoo!
You two have cost me a lot of money over the years. You're killing me.😅
You must bring a light raincoat to Ireland, an umbrella on its own won’t be enough! Enjoy your trip
Fab itinerary for Ireland. Sometimes no rain but can get cold so layers layers.
Great tip! Thanks 😊
Just remembered THE FUNNIEST GG moment- Jody putting on the long wig!!! It was HILARIOUS!!😂

Hi, Jodie, I really like seeing your hair. I think you have pretty hair.
Tracy you are absolutely correct! Do Not get married in your 20’s!
Love the podcast. Is there a website for the Florida bag making sisters? I can't find it. As a Florida knitter I must check it out
😊 Married at 20...44 years this September.
Your silver hair looks great and the “puffiness” looks like you did it on purpose as style with an iron.
Loved watching you ladies. Always something to laugh at, learn about and enjoy. Question: Are you going to be sponsoring a team for this year’s Knit for Food?
Melissa Gilbert is reading The Knitting Circle in her book club

Love your.Sweet Saturday Sweater.
Isn’t it amazing? We are completely smitten with this beautiful design. 🌈
When do you normally go live? I always miss it.
I’ve been married 47 years and I was also 21
I’m guessing it’s traitors… I thought you said traders. 🤪 Too funny, now I have to go and look. 😂
Maybe PK should wake up every morning and ask you guys to make her business decisions for her 😂😂😂 Jesus let it go.
I love bright red or bright green for babies with unknown gender… I’m going to use Jodi’s candle justification for all yarn purchases from now on- I’m not buying cocaine 😂
Where do you find the kit for the Sweet Saturday Sweater?
there is a new medicine for hotflashes jodi!!!
Long wining road❤
I've buckled up. I'm always buckled up! Xxx❤❤❤xxx Unmarried.😊
