Good morning girls! I’m in Australia - in hospital less than 24 hours after the birth of our third baby and first daughter! Managed to finally get some sleep while you were live but what a lovely treat to have a GG video to wake up to! ❤
Traci I’ve been to a yarn yard sale before and it changed my life!! I was able to get great yarns! A huge shopping spree and opened my eyes up to great yarns. Plus you’ll meet local knitters and crocheters. Go for the yarn sale you can destash after 🧶
I adore you two! So much fun! Tracy,I LOVE your sweater! And I have to know the brand of your glasses! They are so cute on you! Jodi, those tatoos are the bomb! I love you both because you are so down to earth! Thank you for the smiles you give.
Thanks ladies for the shout out! Totally appreciate it! Thanks a bunch. Love Inside Out too - my son studied the original film in school when he was young. A fun topic for us parents to participate in too. Such a great movie, I'll have to see the new version. Thanks as always!!! Have a great summer break!
When I first started to sew (back in '64), ribbon was made of either silk satin or rayon satin. A satin weave ribbon made of either would hang more limply than the polyester satin ribbon of today that makes a stiffer bow and is stiffer. Your mention of using it as cuffs reminds me of a favorite sweater I had years ago that was long-sleeved, cropped, and narrow with removeable fur cuffs that you buttoned on the sleeves.
I’m currently doing the Lullaby by Tin Can Knits as a baby blanket for a colleague and am loving it. It’s in Jewel tones and the main color is a dark teal. Teal is the mum’s favorite color. I am enjoying it so much!!
I love the look of a German Short Row or Shadow Wrap Heel but agree there is not enough room around the arch. After some online research I’ve started to add in a gusset for these types of heels. I’m still trialing but am liking the results and think it’s a great modification.
Hi Ladies, I am a bit behind with my podcasts so am watching this late, but I just had to say - love those cat socks! As a big cat person myself, I think that Jodi should run an All Things Cats knit along, where people can knit any objects that incorporate cats or cat motifs into the design. What fun it would be to see all of those projects! 😻😻😻
I love the idea of using the sparkle yarns. Which yarn did you show that was more like a fine yarn without sequins. On Jackalope, I’m not sure which product it was. Thanks for the delight that you bring to my week.
How special for you to come on before you go on vacation!! Enjoy!! Jodi, I think your collar is cute, but not necessarily your style or color---?? It's frustrating to me to make something that doesn't end up the way I visualize it! On the other hand, Tracie, your vest is going to be spectacular!! I just bought Sonder yarn for the first time after hearing you guys talk about it so much. They were having a sale, and I got yarn to make the Ship Shape cardigan. Can't wait to make it! There is a recrafting store near me that takes yarn and other crafting materials that are new. The owner prices the items, and I get 50% of what she sells it for. Anything that doesn't sell goes to a white elephant event for a local museum. It is a definite win-win!!
For the Herding Cats socks…. I have a really high arch and always add 4 rows (2 repeats) to my heel flap and gusset socks. Add plain rows before stitching a short row or afterthought heel?
I have Charlotte's book and have not put the colorwork design on the foot because I need a higher instep. It looks really nice to add something before the toe.
Hilarious playing of the game. Not the choices or the guessing but that you both closed your eyes even thought you couldn’t see it with your eyes open and moved your whole head and neck to change the clue instead of just moving the phone! You are the best! Thanks for the laugh. Cori
Jod! I’m seeing a monochrome (think ALL winter white) high waisted trouser and plain sweater (almost a tailored menswear line) with the collar as the single feminine touch. And one elegant button/brooch. Think vintage Kathryn Hepburn….
Me again🤣🤣I did the herding cats sock, and did the leg in pattern, with only a couple repeats of the cat. I did the heel, and then knit in the main color until I could do one more repeat of the cat pattern befor the toe
I’m a huge Carolina Hurricanes fan, and just a big sports fan. I don’t cheer for any other teams & hate when people boo the other team. My motto is Cheer for your own team!!!
Just got home and enjoying your episode. I think your collar would look great with a patterned blouse. I would ditch the ribbon and instead a sweet button with a little i cord loop.
I love your collar! I’m thinking pairing it with denim. Try it with a collared button down and maybe the knit collar underneath the denim collar. I’m also think it would be beautiful knit up with black and worn with a black turtleneck of a solid classic black dress. Black on black would be awesome and you will not look like a nun
Tracie, your swatches are always beautiful! I never know how many stitches to cast on for a swatch. How do you determine this? Is it based on the specific pattern or do you have an average number you like to cast on? The Tracie Shawl is gorgeous and so is the Landscape Wrap. I love when you guys show us all the pretty patterns. ❤
I also went to see Bikeriders on Tuesday afternoon! You didn’t talk about Austin Butler’s arms in his opening scene. Definitely distracted me for a moment. 💪😂 I enjoyed the movie. I think I expected something like Sons of Anarchy, but it was more of a documentary style homage.
Hahaha you made me laugh... I live about 5 minutes away from the Florida Panthers' Amerant Bank Arena... Not a hockey fan here but thank you for making me laugh out loud!
OMG! I've just learned that you Will be in Québec City for your cruise on sept. I live in Québec! If you somehow organise an activity hère I would love to meet you. If you need any informations on the best yarn shop, I know some that are a bit outside of the well know ones but that are very Nice ! One in particular in front of a splendide old house in which There is a splendide café and rooms to Rent for workshop ( belongs to the yarn shop ! ) ❤️
I think the collar needs styling, a dark version would be more wearable, and without the ribbon, also the picture looks a bit tighter on the neck. I want to do it! Thank you ladies, I love uuuuuuu
Hello! I know you are in Edmonton but Calgary is in the same province! I'm going there on a work trip. Do you guys know of any good yarn stores in Calgary? I can't travel without a yarny destination to look forward to! Love the podcast! Thanks!
The past two videos have been poor quality visually. It must be something my end because it's never been a problem before. Any clues what I need to do?
Love, love the podcast. Not a fan of the knitted collar. But that's me. Love Tracy's idea about a collared shirt under the collar but not for me. The yarn is stunning. The all over color has been a struggle. I knitted the winter sock by Stone. I knit that pair of socks 3 times. I mean, frogged and knitted it. Things learned go up on size of needles and increase heel by a few rows. Drink wine!!
Thank you for your podcast and all the inspiration. I regularly listen using earbuds. Is there anyway the microphone could be placed on a stand separate from the table in front of you? Every bump translates to a deep thud. Thought I’d give you a heads up, but maybe I am just getting older & becoming more sensitive to these things.

Congrats on baby girl 🎉
I’m just
🎉🎉🎉🎉congratulations 🎈

Thank you so much for the book recommendations ladies! I’m new to mystery books so I have a few new ones on my list now.
I was laughing so hard I couldn’t catch my breath when Jodi had the collar on her head. Reminded me of one of those big lizards. OMG!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I adore you two! So much fun! Tracy,I LOVE your sweater! And I have to know the brand of your glasses! They are so cute on you! Jodi, those tatoos are the bomb! I love you both because you are so down to earth! Thank you for the smiles you give.
Another great podcast, thank you ladies!
THANK YOU for shortening today's vlog! Much appreciated.
Traci! That sweater with the sequins screams happy new year!
The collar on a dark brown plain sweater would be beautiful. I love it! I like it open in the back.

Love watching you ladies! I was hoping for the Stanley Cup to come back to Canada also! Love the Oilers! Next year!😊❤
I’m coming to Knit City Calgary and it’s my first time in Alberta…so excited to meet the GG live!
I just finished my first Cardigan The Tin Can Knits Cardigan The Harvest. Love it.
You all are going to have fun Friday night on my birthday. I wanted to go, but I'll be on my way to Greenland. Have a great time.
I’m currently doing the Lullaby by Tin Can Knits as a baby blanket for a colleague and am loving it. It’s in Jewel tones and the main color is a dark teal. Teal is the mum’s favorite color. I am enjoying it so much!!
Have the best summer, and we’ll be happily awaiting your return. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
I am so enjoying your pod cast. From Iowa and a relative new knitter.
I love the look of a German Short Row or Shadow Wrap Heel but agree there is not enough room around the arch. After some online research I’ve started to add in a gusset for these types of heels. I’m still trialing but am liking the results and think it’s a great modification.

I just got back from inside out visiting my family in SC and took my 13 year old granddaughter (who plays hockey btw) we LOVED it.
For the socks, I heard that if you knit the colour work inside out that it helps with the floats to allow for more give
I love the idea of using the sparkle yarns. Which yarn did you show that was more like a fine yarn without sequins. On Jackalope, I’m not sure which product it was. Thanks for the delight that you bring to my week.

Yes, the McDonald's kcups are good - be sure to try 8 O'Clock Coffee. We were so surprised at how good the 8 O'Clock Coffee is.
Green Mountain roasters hazelnut k cups are the BEST!
For the Herding Cats socks…. I have a really high arch and always add 4 rows (2 repeats) to my heel flap and gusset socks. Add plain rows before stitching a short row or afterthought heel?
Love the yard sale idea! I’m considering doing the same
I have Charlotte's book and have not put the colorwork design on the foot because I need a higher instep. It looks really nice to add something before the toe.
Tuesdays at the movies in Australia are cheaper too and we call it ‘Tight arse Tuesday’ 😂
For the Hearding cats sock, you could try a fleegle heel to get more space in the instep.
Peets Sumatra is my absolute favorite coffee. Dark and delicious ❤
I love you two!! I laugh out loud watching you!!!
Hi from South Louisiana. Love y'all.
4th--on bed knitting socks for bingo. Kid things...seamless toddler dress by Lavania Petricelli and the baby vertabrae. Happy 4th!
Not sure what you've done with your audio, but it's so much better than it used to be. The volume is great now. Thanks for the great podcasts!
Hilarious playing of the game. Not the choices or the guessing but that you both closed your eyes even thought you couldn’t see it with your eyes open and moved your whole head and neck to change the clue instead of just moving the phone! You are the best! Thanks for the laugh. Cori
Jodi-for your collar, try with a button down shirt with a popped collar and a sparkly pin to close it!
Jod! I’m seeing a monochrome (think ALL winter white) high waisted trouser and plain sweater (almost a tailored menswear line) with the collar as the single feminine touch. And one elegant button/brooch. Think vintage Kathryn Hepburn….
😂 Traci you’re hilarious, from Florida no offense taken we go hard for our teams too 🤩
I would totally come to your yard yarn sale! I’d love to help with whatever way you choose. ❤
Thanks I definitely had some good laughs.
Jodi!! You are so freakin funny. Your ribbon is so on trend though! Or soon to be. It was on the runway and many fashion designers included it 😊
Lovely picture. Great holiday
Charlotte stone is British living in Switzerland, her socks are amazing 😊😊
I would love to have a pattern or tutorial on the cowl you are wearing. Can that happen 4 months after you posted this video?
Me again🤣🤣I did the herding cats sock, and did the leg in pattern, with only a couple repeats of the cat. I did the heel, and then knit in the main color until I could do one more repeat of the cat pattern befor the toe

I’m a Rangers fan but really really wanted the Oilers to bring it back home ⛸💕to you!

Go Canada!! love our Canadian neighbors 🧶🏒
“Ruffles the Clown.” I’m with you. This does not look like your style at all Jodi. 😂
The collar reminds me of catholic school. Maybe make a bigger one to wear over a wool winter coat.
Oh that pink pop on your Elton!! 😮❤❤❤
Can't wait for the new Paddington movie in November.
Yes tin can knits first sweater, the flax was my first.
Name of the shawl pattern please! You two rock! I just stumbled across you!!
Greetings from Great Falls, Montana. Home of the Farmer's daughter fibers
How about a 4”x4” gauge swatch of your speckled yarn. It will show how beautiful they are knit
Make your collar bigger, and make it a cape! Put a button on it!!
I like that idea! 😮❤
I am watching from Rhode Island. Jodi my sister swears by Target's brand of pods for her Kuerig
I love that colour Very cute worn with the right colour
I also went to see Bikeriders on Tuesday afternoon! You didn’t talk about Austin Butler’s arms in his opening scene. Definitely distracted me for a moment. 💪😂 I enjoyed the movie. I think I expected something like Sons of Anarchy, but it was more of a documentary style homage.
Hope you have a great Jul, be safe❤
Hahaha you made me laugh... I live about 5 minutes away from the Florida Panthers' Amerant Bank Arena... Not a hockey fan here but thank you for making me laugh out loud!
I love the collar!
Take the Colorful Socks book to a print store and have a spiral binding put on it. You will love it.
I made Pop blanket!! Was so fun.
OMG! I've just learned that you Will be in Québec City for your cruise on sept. I live in Québec!

Jodi what is the pattern for the shawl you’re wearing in this episode????
Curious minds would love to know!
Loved hearing about the iga
Wow I have wanted to do these socks. If you were challenged, I better practice!!!
I think the collar needs styling, a dark version would be more wearable, and without the ribbon, also the picture looks a bit tighter on the neck. I want to do it! Thank you ladies, I love uuuuuuu
I think if the collar was one repeat shorter you might think it’s less clown like. Also, I like the idea of a button or brooch instead of the ribbon.

The past two videos have been poor quality visually. It must be something my end because it's never been a problem before. Any clues what I need to do?
I agree. Video is blurry.
The video is sharp on my end.
Have a great break this summer.
I like the bundle idea let us know when
Jodi, I wonder if the collar was shorter in length if it would be more of a necklace look? Just a thought.
Love Florida 😎☀️💕
I've seen those collars worn over sweaters or dresses and all the ones I've seen had a pretty little button to close it.
Congratulations 🎉
Do a Heads up regarding yarn!!
About the collar, which is too cute. I think the collar color needs to coordinate/match the color of the shirt. Loose the ribbon. 🤩
They need a fiber arts category.
Its cooler today in London Ontario 😊
Good morning from the Uk
Cracking up!!!
Love, love the podcast. Not a fan of the knitted collar. But that's me. Love Tracy's idea about a collared shirt under the collar but not for me. The yarn is stunning.

Hello from Oklahoma in the US! One of these days, I’m going to catch y’all live! Love your podcast. ❤❤❤
Hello from MAINE!
I agree two many options for first confusing.
Beautiful collar! I’d use a button. No ribbon!
Yes Ontario has cooled down
Starbucks, the place for dessert. We like Green Mountain Coffee Columbian.

Florida and hockey is such a weird combo
Ballet collar...............................love
The little collar, what about the blush on a gray?
