You are both so delightful in your own way! Love the chatting. Appreciate that these “older” podcasts are available!
Can I just say I absolutely LOVE the 3+ hour long podcasts 🥰 it feels like I’m just hanging out with my friends ❤
Oh my, when you put that hat on w your sweater, I fell in love w you. Perfect. You look great and your garments are glorious. Fun time today.
OMG--I didn't want this episode to end!! I milked it out as long as I could. I ended up being 1 1/2 hours away from Rhinebeck and didn't go--my husband and I were on a leaf peeping trip, which was wonderful, but I don't think I could have dragged him there.. So, I had huge FOMO, and all you shared brought the event to life for me. I would have liked to have been there to see you and the other people I only "know" online as well as all the yarn!! Hopefully another time. Meanwhile, I would love to see you at Stitches West next March!! You two have kept me company as I knit at home, and I LOVE your podcasts!! Thank you for all you share and the joy you bring to so many people!
Apparently you don't realize how popular and influential you two are!! We all love you two and all you accomplish! You sure are a big influence on me!! Thanks sooo much!!!
Such a fun recap and it was a pleasure to meet you two in person in NY! 😘
Hello Rhonda
How are you doing today?
You both are such a hoot! 😂 I don’t do well in crowds either, especially since Covid. Love your pod cast, a very fast 3 hours. You always are great info on shops and yarn. Thank you! 😊❤
Don’t worry about how long your pod casts are. They’re are so interesting and enjoyable. Plus one can always pause it and pick it up where you left off.
Hello Dear
How are you doing today?
I get a lot of knitting done listening to you two. You may talk as long as you want! Enjoy every minute.
I’d love a sweater talk podcast. You’ve been so prolific with your sweater knitting - I can remember them all!
I'm watching the replay and I'm from Saratoga Springs! I'm so glad you guys enjoyed your time there. It's a beautiful place!
I support the lymphoma and leukemia society by fund raising for light the night. I am a leukemia and bone marrow transplant survivor.
I LOVE y’all! Thank you so much for being who you are. You cast a net of welcome and encouragement so wide with such joy, fun, and honesty. ❤️❤️❤️
Hello Dear
How are you doing today?
I would so love a tour of your sewing room, Jodi! Thank you for this episode 😘
The new shawl is absolutely stunning on you Jodi! Wear it in good health.
Thank you for supporting breast cancer research. As a survivor I want to thank everyone who has ever donated, spent time raising funds and providing caregiver assistance to women with breast cancer. This support has made it possible for some of us to forego chemotherapy because we now know there are different types of cancer. I am one of the fortunate ones who could be treated with anti-hormonal therapy, meaning I only have to take a small pill every day and receive bone strengthening infusions every six months. I thank God every day for those who have worked so hard to support research making these advances in treatment possible. Blessings to you all!
Never EVER to long! Thank you for the recap of Rhinebeck. Can’t wait for the sweater episode.
Thanks for sharing your trip ! The Hope and Sunshine Socks look like they give kisses with their cables crosses, lovely pattern. Thanks Tracy !
I would love a sweater episode. Never too long !!!
Hello Nicole
Oh Jodi your sweater looks so much better with the raised neckline. The way it is now makes you square and when you raised the neckline it rounds you more and makes you look younger. ( if that makes any sense haha) yes please make a “just sweater tawk”
I love your long long episodes. Totally great company while I knit. And I so appreciate all the makers you introduce us too!
I purchased the hope and sunshine bundle and can’t wait to knit the hope & sunshine socks. They are gorgeous!
I appreciated your thanking the folks who put on the event as it must take so much behind the scenes work before hand.
Thank you once again for keeping me company today. I finished the toe of a DK sock and crocheted a DK MCN held double with suri alpaca wrist warmer whilst listening to all your news. GG watching and gift making score = ✅
I have been binge watching all of your old episodes! So glad to see this posted today!!!! Jodi, your skin is absolutely glowing!!!!!! Traci, pretty as always! Okay, now back to watching!
Hello Dear
How are you doing today?
Hello Ladies! Thank you for the recap of your travels. 3 hours is great. Hopefully you can do this after Vogue Knitting NY!!!
Hello
You 2 are so awesome! I love that you talk about all things yarn for 3 hours!!! The best time! I knit while I listen and watch and it makes me so happy ❤
Love love love your podcast! You girls are great!
I love hearing about your travels to Rhineback. The shawl you were gifted is beautiful!! Your podcasts are never too long. Love watching you girls
I’m knitting 2 at a Time Magic Loop technique (for the first time), with a To The Macks sock set called Lemon Tree that I bought ages ago. Loving every stitch and these colors are amazing
I was so happy to see you in person and get my picture taken with you. You were the ones who told me about Rhinebeck! I drove 5 hours home on Saturday night. It was tough. I met Miss Babbs and the designer of the sweater I am going to make in her booth! Best day EVER!🎉
Thanks for letting me take your photo at Wool and Folk so I could send it to my sister who wasn't able to attend. I felt like I was intruding but you two were very nice about it. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for being part of the Breast Cancer fundraiser! I went on line and ordered the bundle immediately! 🤗
Love the smiles and recounting of stories about the travel to the east coast. Very touched by your sharing emotions of seeing and hugging strangers and friends. All the drama and isolation of the pandemic made seeing others one if the best rewards of our lifetimes. Stay healthy and real.
So, I pretty much knit half a sleeve watching you two today. Yes, do a podcast marathon!
I loved listening to you both and your experience in Rhinebeck. I live in NY but never have been able to go myself and now I'm getting to old for all that walking. Your episode today almost made me feel like I was there. Thank you so much!
Totally would love a sweater only video. Just getting into knitting sweaters for myself and my husband so I think this is a wonderful idea.
OMG Jodi that shawl is stunning! How sweet you were gifted that!
I love the colour of Jodie’s sweater, just machine stitch a couple of inches into the sleeve holes and graduate down the sides. Then either use the crochet solution for the neckline or fine elastic - most of my makes are subject to “after work” xx Sue UK xx 🤭
As a native of Upstate NYer (I live about 30 mins west of Albany) I would absolutely encourage flying in and out of Albany International Airport...it's a smaller airport, so it's easy in and out (not a ton of lines) and then it's a very easy, very beautiful 1 hour drive from Rhinebeck. It's probably your best bet going forward...
Ps-been watching you ladies for years, and I would absolutely DIE if I got to see you at another Rhinebeck weekend!!!
I am SO happy I was able to get one of the Hope & Sunshine bundles on Saturday. Breast cancer runs in my family. I have a grandmother, an aunt, and two cousins that are survivors. My Mom was diagnosed in February this year. She had her last round of chemo in September and she will start radiation soon. This is a cause that is literally and figuratively close to my heart.
Jodis earings looks great with her hair cut. Beautiful❤
It was great to see both of you again!! Another wonderful episode. Loved hearing about Rhinebeck!
Love your podcast. Thank you for showing your new beautiful stash!
I missed you guys so much! Thank you for spending your time to brighten our days 💕☀️
Love your marathon 3 hours! Your Rhinebeck recap and show & tell was wonderful, as I knew it would be. Thanks!
I just love, love, love your podcasts and think an all day marathon would be so AMAZING!!!!!!
Your over sharing is like a beautiful hug! I love to hear all the wooly details 🐑🦙❤
3 hrs 13 min. 💛💛💛. I watched Friday nite, as Saturday, my normal night for watching I will have my grandson with me. He would probably not enjoy it 🤷🏼♀️, but I love it tonight…..so much to see and love and check out. Too late tonight. You girls are the best at lifting me up. Thanks. Tried to donate tonight, but nothing would let me get through, 😢.
love love love that you showed how to do some troubleshooting
Great show. We love to see what you get when we could never get there to find these awesome small businesses. And I snagged the Hope and Sunshine bundle from LouieandLola 😍😍👏🏼👏🏼
Jodi,,,,,the shawl is definitely your colour! Great podcast girls,,,,,I always enjoy your upbeat personalities.
Hello Dear
How are you doing today?
What a great live! I am sorry I missed it but loved ❤watching after! I hat so much fun while knitting on MKAL2022. 😂❤🎉
I wish I had run into your guys. Maybe next time! My mom and I went to Maryland Sheep and Wool a few years ago. It was a very nice show but it was too hot to put me in the mood for yarn. It was in the 80s. My first stop at Rhinebeck this year was Thread and Maple for the binder and insert. Thanks for the heads up on their products. Gorgeous quality!
Sweater Talk yes please!!! You two have so much experience and great suggestions. Oh, and please make it at least 3 hours!! ❤️
Hey girls, you make my fortnight. I’m going on my first yarny cruise to NZ with princess cruise company from Australia this Friday through unwind yarn cafe in Melbourne australia ❤
Thank you for another inspiring podcast. I've been home recovering since the summer so this really helps keep my spirits up and in touch with what is happening in the knitting world. Thank you again,
I loved your recap! I’ll never get to anything like Rhinebeck, so it’s awesome I can enjoy hearing about it. I do think how blessed you both are, by having each other. How wonderful to have a sister that shares the same love of knitting and Fiber etc, and also be good friends as well as sisters. I think that, and your fun interactions with each other keeps me coming back. You are both so different, but such a complement to each other. See you online in 2 weeks!
Ps I pretty much always do a way smaller amount of stitches on my neckline cast ons, because yarn always grows, and the weight of the sweater pulls the neckline bigger. The other option is I cast on with a spare bit of yarn or do a crochet cast one, then knit with my sweater yarn for 2 rounds. After I finish the sweater, I undo the crochet cast on, and knit the neck band for a perfect fit. But there have been times when a sweater has been worn a long time and the neck stretches, that I use the handy crochet edge method! Cheers!
Thank you soooo much. I feel like I can imagine the festival a little more! You girls are the best ❤
Thanks for sharing all the fun. Someday I will treat myself to a pair of Joji boots. Yup I know the size and the color.
Maybe you can stay at the Airbnb at Wing and a Prayer Farm when you head to Vermont! I went to Rhinebeck on Sunday and what a pleasure!! And didn't buy a thing and loved every second of inspiration and fun walking around!!
A Sweattah weather episode sounds awesome!!
Love love love a super long podcast❤ One day I will get to Rhinebeck. A tip for you both paint your earrings with clear nail polish & this provides a barrier between your skin & the post or hook. I have shocking metal allergies & this works a treat
Loved spending the evening with you hearing about your adventures. Hugs
Jodi, your sweater almost looks like the Easy Sunday Morning Sunday sweater with shorter sleeves! I love that sweater! That color looks stunning on you!
New York is just a fun place to go
You will have so much fun you won’t even notice the crowds
I didn't watch the live, so I have had the most wonderful time watching now. I had supper with you , a snack, got a lot of knitting done on a pair of Salt Water Vamps (Newfoundland pattern), oh, and pee breaks. Hugs from Nova Scotia.
Great podcast ladies. I could listen to you all day. BTW, the SpinCycle Moon Beams Yarn color looks like Necco wafers!
Thank you! I couldn't watch live, but I loved every second of this episode!
You can make an I cord on your sock machine. take all the needles out except 4 or 5 and make sure to weight it. It goes super fast.
I live a few minutes from Saratoga Springs and I’m so happy to hear how much you enjoyed it! I didn’t make it to Rhinebeck this year, hopefully I be there in 2023! My dream is to meet the two of you there someday.
Great episode, as usual 😍 I love how upbeat and inclusive you two are. I would love an episode on sweaters, see what your two have made, what you wear and why. I would also love to hear which wools you prefer and why. I don’t like peeling, i like a clean look, can you also include that in the discussion? Wools that age well, show details and stitches best? 🤗
Yes! Please sweater talk! Need hat talk too! You gals rock!
So amazing you two- you make my life so fun!!
I enjoy every long bit of your videos. Lol !!! I’m so excited when you gals are podcasting because I know it’s a good show / movie to watch. I love that they are long. I’m hanging out with my friends (even though you don’t know me) but you are my friends.
I noticed many of my sweaters had big neck lines so I started going way down on my needles size changing the needles up every couple rows.
I’m so sorry to hear Jodi got sick…glad you’re better now. Brooklyn General did have kits for the wool and folk cowl - la bien aimee ❤ can’t wait to make mine
Happy Birthday Georgia!!!
It´s going to make an amazing anything.... Thats my favourite quote of this episode!
Lovely to see you both again! Jody, I think you can save your yellow sweater if you use a serger to take it in on each side starting at the cap sleeve ribbing and continuing down the sides to the bottom of the body (approximately 2 inches on each side).
DARN IT! I missed you guys by 12 minutes 😭 I have been counting down the days
Hey girls, you should come to The Wool Gathering in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Next one is September 16 & 17, 2023. They have 80+ vendors. No entrance fee. Love your podcast 😊
A lot of knitting done while watching you two! 😄😂
Yes for sweater talk
THEE BEST ! Just Love you both !!!!!!!! Thank you ~ Thank you !!!! xo xo marcia
Loved seeing all of your beautiful acquisitions and hearing about Rhinebeck!
Also, I vote for the 12 or 24 hour knitting LIVE marathon and a fundraiser and take pledges for several good charities. I'd stay up with you both.
Thank you for collecting for breast cancer research. I just finished 5 months of chemotherapy. I’m 67 and it’s a tough road to travel. 🎃
Thinking of you, Nancy & sending love and strength. 💖💖
Prayers and blessings your way. Keep up the fight.
You girls make me laugh. It would be great to have a question and answers session. (I didn’t know how to swatch in the round). Or any tips and tricks.
Love you ladies!! You two are a hoot!
Hi Ladies 😊 Tip: If you add neosporin to the earring inserts (the part that goes into your piercing) this will prevent the itchiness while you are wearing your beautiful earrings. If you try it let us know if it works. BTW I’ve been watching since day 1. 😊
I love the long visit!
Sorry to have missed you live girls. I have been trying to convince local designers to produce a kit for a Fair isle yoked jumper. I just knew Traci would be into it. I think it's very much your vibe. I will let u know when and if it comes available. Much love from Shetland xxx
Ps a video on 'sweater talk ' including different yarns and fibres and how they behave when knitted xxx
Feel better Jody! Hope you stay healthy Tracy🎉, missed you both!
Yes, please do a show about sweater knitting. I would like to see sweaters you have done plus the reasons you choose to wear or not wear them as much. I think that would gives sweater makers ideas when they are making self choices. Thanks for thinking of it!
Thank you for sharing your 'fails'. It will give new knitters the confidence to know that even people who they may see as experts, have knitting issues too. Also the joy of knitting is if you don't like it , it can be ripped out and knit again.
Love this, thank you guys!
I had sooo much fun watching this episode and hearing about your adventure, plus you kept me company while picking out 4 rows of knitting in the round on Dpns cause I made a mistake!! On Jodies bright colored sweater - maybe part of the reason you don’t like it as much as you thought as the color probably isn’t in your color wheel? Anyway, like Traci said - you can fix it! Love you guys!
Loved this! You two are amazing😍🥰😘
Dang! I finished my After the Storm cardi before the FO thread was up and I forgot to check back and enter officially 😭.
I loved knitting it though and will make more, great pattern!💜
Yes please to the sweater talk episode :)
Love the idea of a sweater episode!
