those dents all of the pistons is from impacting the valves lol... may have had stuff in those two.... then you started bending stuff and mashing it together lol
Those were pieces of spark plug electrodes. Happens to some unlucky guys who go always for original single electrode .. LOL. Since i ve seen something like this on a m102 i never use again single electrode spark plugs.
Very cool! I can't imagine those nuts and bolts were in there very long. Had to have been someone who sabotaged the engine for whatever reason. You mentioned new-ish exhaust manifold gaskets. Very likely someone was in there recently. Also, one thing that was very surprising is how most of the damage was confined to the circumference of the pistons and head. The inner sections weren't as bad. The 2nd surprising thing is the cylinder walls weren't damaged much. That's another reason why I don't think the nuts and bolts were in there too long. Funny comments: "I don't have a tool long enough.." "My tool got stuck." Lol #Idocars #engineteardown
Yeah I’m not 100% convinced the previous owner is telling me the whole story. The way the intake is designed you can’t just jam them in there. Now from the exhaust side it makes more sense. The exhaust bolts weren’t fused and the gaskets were newish so... 🤔
Who knows. You’d either have to be a seriously scored ex or an unpaid mechanic to go this far. My guess is that they came in through the exhaust side since the bolts and gaskets seemed new-ish. The intake is too complicated
Whoever planted the hardware in the engine deserves a special kind of beat down. These are beautiful cars, what a sacreligious thing to do!
Those sidewalls looks pretty good surprisingly
Right! I expected to see gouges but nothing. I mean enough to lose compression; like all of it. Thanks for watching!

It’s possible but I believe it was something larger as I found several bolts that were too big to fit past the valves. Thanks for watching!
@@YogisGarage do they fit in to the spark plug hole?
@@pandipapamihali4522 that's possible, yes. good observation, I totally didn't think of that! yet another point of entry.
Very cool!

WOW!!! why would someone do that?

Nuts and bolts in the engine?!
