Really great stuff. I am not shooting in competition (yet haha...but never say never) but feel better that I use much of the equipment you listed (of course a lot of the equipment on my bench is because you, or Cortina...or Gavin have reviewed and recommended)...and the equipment that I don't use gives me some "upgrade" room on the bench. I really like this type of video that educate as well as inform. Congrats on your recent win! (heading over to your website to check it out).
A lot of great information John, thank you. I am happy to see that the Ingenuity Precision works with the Sartorius. I have been using an older lab grade CP-64 for some time. Love the accuracy, far beyond what is needed for reloading but talking with IP, he indicated that it should work and would be happy to help sort out the pin adjustment if needed. Happy Thanksgiving.
It’s not for any other reason than I’m just not using any right now but I think they make some great stuff. If I wasn’t using the 750 I would 100% be back on the Zero press.
@@artbunin there’s absolutely nothing wrong with loading precision ammo on a 550. If you go to my channel and look at playlists, I have an entire playlist dedicated to Dillon products and talk about the 550 in a number of them.
Excellent video John. Some time ago you did a video covering the differences between the Henderson & Giraud trimmers but you seemed happy with both at the time. What was it that made you move only to the Henderson?
I’m no longer a competitor, (former knuckle dragging highpower competitor), but loading for precision is loading for precision. That said, you have a fortune invested in your equipment. I do also but accumulated it over 30 something years. Zero and V4 excepted. Thanks for the show & tell. And congratulations on your recent win.
Thank you I appreciate that. And I have respect for highpower, that's not an easy way to compete even if F Class and Sling occasionally joke around with each other about how easy they each have it. 🤣
I have a similar problem in both of my shoulders. If you haven't tried hanging on a pull up bar a few minutes a day (total) and some exercises that focus on strengthening external rotation, I highly recommend those specifically. Thanks for the vids
I am looking forward to the new ingenuity system. I have found my creedmoor scale very accurate, it will detect a single kernel of extruded powder, but as you said, it’s a bit slow.
John thanks for sharing all you tools that you use to be at the top of your game .Congratulations before I forget again. You have so much money invested in these products. I love to compete but never could spend that much money . I do have the auto V-3 trickler 120 scale ,the best big investment ever . Just won my first short range benchrest shoot in years of competition.Yes first place has a way better feel than just been on the podium. I think staying out of my head and not watching the scores made it possible in the big winds .Thanks again for all you share ,your ups and downs.
I saw in some previous videos you were using the Tubb ring tool on bullets, do you still use it? How does it compare to bullet pointing and would you consider a video about it?
Could you kindly explain what processes you do on your progressive Dillon press and what you do on another press? I have RCBS Pro Chunker 7 and think if I should by single stage press for formatting and bullet sitting for my 450 yards 3gun .223 shooting.
John- there’s something going on with your audio. You will be talking and, of course, when it gets to the most interesting part, the audio cuts out. Lots of cut outs, 1-4sec in length, especially in the first 1/3 of video. 28:10- just did it again as I was typing. Thought you would want to know.
So with using an arbor press, did I understand you say you don't use the dial indicator on it? Can you elaborate a bit more as to why? I thought the whole reason to use an arbor press is so you can see the seating force across every bullet, and group them accordingly?
Thank you I see that. I looked around the time when I was outfitting my 750 earlier this year and they were absent from the website. Thanks for letting me know.
Like what you do and how you do it. Thanks. That said, I will never attain this level of need or the budget to go all in…..so…. Ever thought of a progressive ranking of your equipment?? I. E. - start here (novice or beginner), next level, intermediate, advanced, expert and sky is the limit??? Just a thought. Brings insight to long range purchases (buy once cry once). Merry Christmas.
Thank you and yes, I've actually done videos on front and rear rests covering a variety of price levels. I will certainly do more in the future. ruclips.net/video/keEzeHaKhWw/видео.htmlsi=mu8rZJZOh2_xQnBj and ruclips.net/video/UTSyd-sdXHs/видео.htmlsi=jyVrAVeQz-ltn-Tk
@@FClassJohn Thanks John for letting me know and have always enjoyed your videos and best of luck on your upcoming matches! Best Video of yours was for the Auto Trickler with lab scale. I bought the setup and after several years still works like a dream. Sure wish they still made the THUMLER'S TUMBLER ULTRA-VIBE 18. Any testing with the Dillon CV-2001?
And they keep gaslighting us by saying inflation isn't as bad as we think. Just 6 months after this video, the base price of the 750 is $859... 16% increase in 6 months! Don't get me wrong, I've had my 650 for better than 25 years, and knowing what I do, I would still recommend them, but WOW.
So you no longer use the amp press? Cortina used to use a water pressure arbor before switching to an AMP and has made videos about diagnosing equipment problems in the reloading cycle with it. Don’t see the need for it any more or what?
I still have it and use it but only when I'm testing something but not for everyday use. I did however forget to add it to the list and will do so. My biggest issue is the space it takes up and having to use a computer with it. It's not always convenient for everyday use. Erik has more room and a dedicated computer with his and I agree in its use to find problems.
@@FClassJohn if you ever get a chance could you make a video on improving priming on the Dillon? I’m using a Ram Prime on a chucker and a Sinclair depending on what I’m loading for, but a Dillon is in my future.
No I switched over to the Dillon w/autodrive. The Zero was a great press but my neck and shoulder were taking a beating pulling a handle so I went back to the auto drive system.
If my wife finds this video and sees how much the equipment in the shop costs, I’m in big trouble.
😂
Conversely, when I go mid level I can brag to my wife how much money I’m saving ;)
I made the mistake of playing this video while we were having our morning coffee. 😮
@@codyway7424 sounds like your wife will be getting some nice Christmas presents this year.

Nicely done young man! Great video.

Love the info, John. Super informative. I find it interesting that you have not listed a single area 419 product.
