OK..I'm gonna have to apologize. This guys criminal life is so F'in complicated, it took quite a bit more deep diving to get towards the bottom...You need a damn flow chart..
So, he got 1 year jail and 2 years probation on the witness intimidation charges. While he was awaiting the outcome of that case, he managed to get himself arrested for felony possession of meth and felony possession of heroin. THIS hearing is part of that mess. Eventually, all the charges related to the case you're seeing right now get thrown out as part of a deal relating to his witness tampering case. (Also during this time, he was acquitted on an unrelated felony failure to comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act charge). He decided to resolve his final two felony cases in a plea deal, by pleading to felony attempted bribing, intimidating or interfering with a witness as a habitual offender-second.
The Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office agreed to dismiss unrelated charges of felony possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of heroin (the case your watching is the opening salvos of that case), as well as Sinclair’s original habitual offender-fourth status.
However, the deal called for Sinclair to not receive credit for four months already served or any “good time” credit, meaning this latest sentence runs consecutive to his assault sentence.
Not a fan of the death penalty, but can we please just shoot this guy? He is a walking crime NIGHTMARE....

The offender should stand trial for every unlawful act and/or criminal offense that he/she committed. To hell with all this, the state will drop this charge, if you will plead guilty to this other charge. There is one case in Canada of Sovidiot who won a case by accident because in the middle of his random filing he said "the traffic stop didn't have probable cause" - and you are allowed to resist an illegal arrest. But the judge writes a great opinion in which he lays out how all of the random stuff is nonsense followed by a paragraph of "but the cops didn't have probable cause - so you are free to go."
Leonard French did a break down on the case.
