There has been some spots of models 3 's with covered up parts. Maybe Tesla will refresh the Model 3 again to be more in line with the new Model Y, this may include a turn signal stalk and exterior changes.
@@Cynlixal Its also in Australia, and Japan. Evidence points they're reintroducing the turn-signal stalks. I could be wrong but, Highland USA release was exact same as Highland release in China as well. (Interior wise)
There's zero chance of this anytime soon. Why would Tesla create a supply chain of parts for a Model 3 update to immediately switch it up again? Makes no sense.
I live in Belgium. I just bought a new M3 Highland Standard Range and had the chance of buying a Model Y for the same money. I'll never like SUV's. I liked MPV's and they got replaced by SUV's to have something new, something to brag about and show to everyone how productive you are in society. MPV's were more honest and practical.
I have been living in Belgium for half a year. I plan to buy a TM3. Can you tell me what additional fees I will have to incur when buying an electric car here? (Road tax, etc.). How much does it cost in Belgium to insure such a car?
Thanks for a great discussion. The Model Y extra space is important but it's not only that. The increase in ground clearance and seat height are also important. It's so much easier to get in and out of the Model Y. The increased ground clearance is a big advantage on some of the very rural roads at least around here (Minnesota). Another big difference for those of us frequently carrying canoes or kayaks is the increase in distance between the roof rack bars. The Model 3 is 28" while the Model Y is 36" and that makes a big difference in stability for long items on the roof.
Yes, also significantly more comfortable when car camping. In LA, where the right lane is basically like off-roading, extra ground clearance much needed. One wish is that the Model Y would adopt the Rivian R2's all-seats that fold flat for even more interior space when camping. And V2L🎉
@@R56Cooper Great points. The Y is much better for sleeping. I've done that a few times. Last year Elon said that all new models starting in 2025 would include Powershare (V2G). Not sure if this refresh is included. One of the more knowledgeable forum members said that recent Teslas were all V2G capable and that all they needed was activation via a software update. I hope that's correct.
I think you missed two important factors in my buying decision. 1. The seating posture. For long trips, the seating posture, i believe, is better in model Y than 3. 2. Ease of getting in and out of the car. Model Y is much easier than the 3 to get in and out due to the vehicle ride height.
New model Y looks great to me, Tesla did a great job on the refresh IMO. I have a 2024 M3P refresh and will be keeping it. OMG it’s the best car I have ever owned and that’s coming out of a 21 M3 LR.
I had to use a Model Y for two days and couldn’t wait to get back to my Model 3 Performance. Y was bouncy and didn’t handle with as much precision. Driving position for the Y was easier to get in and out of-as is the case for a UPS driver-but I missed the recline of the 3. I still own a three row ICE SUV for the very rare occasion I need to haul big stuff or seat six adults. I want to replace it with an EV someday, but I have doubts the Y will be big enough.
The right signal should be on the right side of the steering wheel. After a week I'm still thinking and looking at the signals. Maybe I have been using fsd too much.
As a "Legacy" Model 3 LR owner, i absolutely adore the Highland version. Not a fan of the interior lighting, but everything else (design wise) looks greeat. Also the suspension, cooled seats, rear screen etc are big upgrades imo. Now the Juniper Model Y just looks terrible, especially the back. I mean thats a rear you really dont want to look at twice. At that point you're just gonna get bullied on the road lol. Like i get it if you simply need the space and dont know how a trailer works. But why not buy a Skoda Enyaq or Kia EV9 at that point? Bigger, better looking and cost around the same.
Thanks for making great videos! I still use your car wash video to wash mine! I own a Model Y Performance bought in May 2024 when they were running the .99 APR. I definitely like the new design both outside and inside as it is more distinctive than the current one. Genuinely hope that they retain the turn signal stock as the buttons seem to be finicky. The only change that I don't like is moving the back numberplate holder to the bumper, as it looks a bit incomplete (more so because it looks like a flat rectangle, would have been better if they gave it a bit of a curve like Genesis GV 70). Overall, it looks like a really good update! I am very happy with the current Y and won't be switching over to the new one any time soon. The only meaningful change for me would be the ventilated seats, and that too is more like a good to have feature than necessity. Maybe a few years down the line.
It's nice that they started selling tesla vehicles in the Philippines... officially. Based on traffic conditions and quality of the roads, 700km+ will not even last that long. a short distance of 14km will take you 2hrs with traffic jam or 1hr or less on a less traffic jam.
Stop and go is best for EVs. EVs eat lots of electricity on free roads with high speeds. Philippines is the perfect country if you use solar at home even
I just paid off my 23 RWD M3 and i do want a model Y but I think i'm going to wait for AI5(Hardware 5) and above. Hardware 3 is going to be phased out due to compute limitations. Were just in weird computer transitionary period so i want to see where it goes before I spend another $40k+.
With TESLA it is hard to prognostic anything, so considering HW4 launched few months back, HW5 SHOULD be in a year/year and a half. So the question is : why wait ?
I'm single. I don't have dogs or kids. I'm 5'4". I don't actually need the extra space but i got the offer of a 24MY at the same price of a 24M3... so... I prefer for miles the model Y it is just more convenient and comfortable ❤
You’re the first RUclipsr I see saying Model Y comfort suspension is similar to Highland’s suspension. That’s funny, because I had THAT EXACT same impression when I test drove both before deciding on the Y, and man… I couldn’t notice ANY DIFFERENCE between the two. I’ll never get these reviewers saying “oh, New Model 3 has such a better suspension, it’s on a different league”. It’s literally identical do Y’s suspension. Both are harsh.
You would be wrong. Highlander has a completely different suspension, there are tech videos on it, it’s not up for debate ! How do I know? I have a 2022 model 3 and a 2023 Y which has the comfort suspension, which I don’t feel any difference from the 2022 model 3 which doesn’t. However, I test drove the Highland, in 5 minutes , my wife who is not into cars, turned and said to me, man this thing is so quiet and smooth compared to our cars
@ I’m not disputing the hardware is different. But, again, when I did the demo drives to decide between Y and 3, I couldn’t notice a single difference in terms of suspension. Zero. For sound, yes, 3 was slightly better.
Do you know what happens to your interest rate if you trade in a Tesla they are also financing? My upgrade to Juniper will only happen if I can maintain my current 0.99%... lol (if I had to guess, it won't carry over).
There won't be many deals on the Model Y refresh for a long while, one would suppose given the sales numbers. Sedans, on the other hand, are still kind of a tough sell in the States. Bargain hunters will go Model 3.
Would you get the new AWD model Y OR the 2025 legacy AWD Model Y with all the inventory discounts? I’m still trying to decide. Love all of the new features of the new model Y. But saving $100-$150 a month would be nice too.
I'm a bit upset because I wanted to get the refreshed model y but after the unveil, I think it's ugly. Would've looked better if it was simply a highland on a y
From a looks perspective, i think the new performance model 3 is the best looking car in Tesla's lineup. Then I prefer the legacy 3 out of the 3/Ys in looks. The new Y is not really much better looking than the old Y in my opinion, just different. I don't know if i need to see it in person, but i am not feeling the new Y look from the videos and images i see. The only thing about the new regular 3 I don't like that throws it off for me is the lower front. The removal of the air splitters makes it look flat. Like someone looking attractive with a face mask, (you cant see their mouth/chin) and when you remove the mask its just a disappointment like, was not expecting that...
Lighter vs more space. Model y out sells model 3, 3 to 1. I bought m3p. I don't have any babies that i am aware of. My accountant said kids ain't in da budget. 🎉
I wonder how many people will sell a highland 3 to buy a new y just to have “the newest tesla” because frankly the highland 3 was the first new tesla in 4 years since the original y came out
As someone who has been waiting to buy the new Model Y, and is still likely to buy it, I have to say the design improvement is underwealming to me. I do not like the tendence to just slap lightbars on stuff and call it an upgrade. We also see the light bar tendency on a lot of the cheap chinese brands, which means I associate it with chep cars rather than luxury, and I also feel that the new model Y front looks it has literally been slapped on an existing car with a different design language. It is not bad looking in itself, but it does not match the rest of the car. To me the Highland model 3 design is a bigger improvement over legacy model 3's than Juniper is over legacy model Y's. Model 3 went from being a so-so looking car to being a good looking car. Model Y went from being a so-so design to being a slightly better so-so design. Model Y is just not good looking, and no amount of light bars can hide that the basic shape is still the same. And before you say it is because the Model Y is an SUV and model 3 a Sedan, let me remind you that for many car brands the SUV designs are at least as good if not better looking than the sedans. In fact, I would argue that the SUV category in started as a design driven category. People wanted the 4x4 inspired design without getting an actual 4x4, and they wanted a family friently "minivan" interior without actually living with the mini van look, and this is what the best SUVs deliver on. The problem with the Model Y is that it was never really designed as an SUV. It is designed as a more roomy hatchback version of the Model 3. I very much like the interior space of it, and I am also sure the design is efficient for getting the Cw down. But for looks, I just prefer a design that is a bit more boxy and masculine. All that being said, I still expect to buy one if it comes in at a pricepoint close to the old one, because at that pricepoint you just cant get a better total package. I may like the design language of the Porsche Macan or the Audi Q6 better, but by the time I spec them the way I want them, we are at least at double the price of the model Y. In this respect the biggest advance and disadvantage of the Model Y (and most Teslas) is you can barely tell the base model apart from the top model. This means you can take a cheap base model and still get 95% of what you would have gotten in the top model, and there are virtually no extras to add once you have chose the car color and the interior coler. THis is hugely price effective compared to an Audi where I can literally buy extra features that adds up to more than the price of the car. But it does not come without a price. It also means all Teslas look alike, and it is very difficult to express any individuality without buying third party upgrades.
i just test drove a 2025 Model 3 Highland and as a person who drive ICE vehicles all my life, I am very shocked and impressed how it drove and didn't have range anxiety what all the Anti EV consumers talk about! I will definitely consider getting the new Model Y when it comes out because the screen in the back for kids was definitely a game changer for us and it fit my lifestyle where i have all bases covered as far as Gas and EV in the household.
I just don’t like the redesign. I hated light bars in the 90’s and I can’t believe they’ve made a return. It’s just offensively bad design and it makes the car look like more of a throwaway appliance than it already did. Whatever unique quality there was to the design of the Model Y which wasn’t much before is completely gone with this update. I think Tesla is just taking the gamble that they can gear the styling more to the Chinese market to hopefully increase sales there and that it won’t hurt the US market since crossovers sell well here anyway. It looks bad enough to me that I would buy a Model 3 instead the next time. My wife drives a Model 3 RWD and I have a Model Y Performance now just because I didn’t want a large vehicle, but still wanted the hatch. I had intended to buy a Model 3 Performance, but it didn’t make sense already having one Model 3 to me. If the Model 3 had a hatch I would have never considered the Model Y. It looks a bit awkward as it is compared to the Model 3. I don’t love it anyway, but it was my best compromise for speed and convenience coming out of a small performance hatchback which just doesn’t exist in the EV world. I’d say I’d just buy something else, but I won’t be in the market for a new car in quite a while so it’s not even a concern for me anytime soon. It definitely won’t be this new Model Y though.
My dilemma is I want the size of the model y with the interior of the model 3. The model y juniper will give me that but my issue is the exterior design is SO UGLY 😭 It's like the cybertruck and robocop in catdog form
After I raised up to 325k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸🇺🇸 also paid for my daughter's surgery (Joey). Glory to God.shalom.
Big misses for me compared to the Chinese and German models, Disappointed that the new model Y does not have the 95 KW hr battery 500 plus range, 800 volt for 500 kw charging. Feels like living in a third world country

@@Trapmiro Elon does tend to say alotta things, turn stalk did come back to the Model Y Juniper though, although not "Stalks" multiple I guess.
@@WinterFrostx I'm pretty sure that it's only for China because we don't even have a US version yet
Love the channel! Just bought my M3AWD last month
How do you like it
Thanks for a great discussion.
@StormyDog that would be a great addition! Especially in an emergency, we could use the EV battery as a power generator
I think you missed two important factors in my buying decision.
1. The seating posture.
For long trips, the seating posture, i believe, is better in model Y than 3.
2. Ease of getting in and out of the car.
Model Y is much easier than the 3 to get in and out due to the vehicle ride height.
Seating comfort is exactly why I'm trading in my 23 M3 for a 25 MY refresh when it comes to the states.
(Also the suspension)
I agree with both. Number 2 i was grouping in with “more space” in my head.
As a smaller female I find both of those are better for me on the Model 3. 🤷♀️
Strangely enough I liked the Model Y Juniper refresh straight away.
New model Y looks great to me, Tesla did a great job on the refresh IMO. I have a 2024 M3P refresh and will be keeping it. OMG it’s the best car I have ever owned and that’s coming out of a 21 M3 LR.
Model 3 performance front with the new model y light bar would be fire 🔥.
apparently there’s been some model 3s with coverings spotted so who knows, we may get something like that
Appreciate the Tesla updates! Random question but what mic do you use for your videos?
Bro where’d you get that floating Cybertruck in the background?
Love the M3 highland. For space I’m going Model X every time.
I’ve seen some videos showing the new Y on the semitrailer driving on the highway, and the suspension looks amazing-maybe even too soft?
They need to get rid of the front middle light bar on the y. It would look a lot better
Do you think model 3 will get the front bumper camera too?
Buy both MY and M3 both are awesome cars
It's nice that they started selling tesla vehicles in the Philippines... officially. Based on traffic conditions and quality of the roads, 700km+ will not even last that long. a short distance of 14km will take you 2hrs with traffic jam or 1hr or less on a less traffic jam.
Stop and go is best for EVs. EVs eat lots of electricity on free roads with high speeds. Philippines is the perfect country if you use solar at home even
put front camera and signal stalk on model 3, job done
Do you have the link for those accessories in your room behind you? The spinning Cybertruck and the Tesla phone charger?
Great video as always.
Hi Jremiah! Been loving the videos and have been binging them recently. Btw, may I know what camera you’re using? Thanks!
Model 3 is perfect, but my dog crate doesn't fit, which leaves me with no options but go with bulky Y 😭
@@electrolysewell for 1 I just want to wait a while before I have another car payment and 2 just give the tech more time to mature.
@@ChristianBuenrostro-c5k fair enough
The rear diaper is so true lol
Easy - I would bye the one with driver instruments behind the steering wheel....
How much more range do you get on your 18 inch wheels compared to stock?
5% more efficient. More comfortable ride
I'm single. I don't have dogs or kids. I'm 5'4". I don't actually need the extra space but i got the offer of a 24MY at the same price of a 24M3... so... I prefer for miles the model Y it is just more convenient and comfortable ❤
Attractive man talks tech and cars. I’m SAT 😂
What wheel and tire setup are you running on your M3P?
What about the third row seating?
I needed this video, can't decide 😢
which one you decided on and why?
2:30 yeah crazy high price
Love ya content bro
I'm confused. I just went to the Tesla website and it's only showing the old model Y for sale. What gives??
Model 3 LR RWD... the best range, the best choose.
I’m on the same boat get a Model y now heavily discounted or wait and potentially not get the $7,500 tax credit now that trump is getting rid of it
Good video! I’m waiting for the new Y to release here in Norway. Will be getting one in glacier blue😊
I don’t want the launch series because of the “launch” badges. Dates the car.
3 for the singles and y for the family.
Tesla says to NOT use a screen protector…why do you use one?
Removing the stalks was the dumbest thing Tesla ever made. Glad they changed their mind.
Disagree, I prefer the buttons.
@ Many fanboys do.
Elon should use the same light bar from the cyber truck
Lighter vs more space. Model y out sells model 3, 3 to 1. I bought m3p. I don't have any babies that i am aware of. My accountant said kids ain't in da budget. 🎉
I wonder how many people will sell a highland 3 to buy a new y just to have “the newest tesla” because frankly the highland 3 was the first new tesla in 4 years since the original y came out
I prefer model 3,, but y is great car if you need more space.
The front light bar looks ugly
For everyday and the extra space, Y all day long.
i just test drove a 2025 Model 3 Highland and as a person who drive ICE vehicles all my life, I am very shocked and impressed how it drove and didn't have range anxiety what all the Anti EV consumers talk about! I will definitely consider getting the new Model Y when it comes out because the screen in the back for kids was definitely a game changer for us and it fit my lifestyle where i have all bases covered as far as Gas and EV in the household.
broskiiiii can I buy your M3 Performance???
Model y is fugly, relative to the old and new 3.
I love my 2025 m3.
For familly Y 👍
So you are saying the M3P suspension on standard setting outperforms the one of the long range?
not a fan of the front end of the Y
I'm buying neither one.
They will run apr specials for model 3 and y?

All thanks to Maria Luisa Clare

Miss Maria Luisa Clare is a remarkable individual whom has brought immense positivity and inspiration into my life.
I started with a miserly $1500. The results have been mind blowing I must say TBH!
Big misses for me compared to the Chinese and German models, Disappointed that the new model Y does not have the 95 KW hr battery 500 plus range, 800 volt for 500 kw charging.
Feels like living in a third world country
Model y is ugly. It's pregnant. M3p 2024 is sick! 🔥🔥
I tried to force myself to buy a 2025 m3 awd. 0% apr. Tax credit. Referal code. I walked away from it bc I wanted a performance.
Front bumper camera, good luck using that in any rain or snow 😂
No ultrasonic parking sensors…
NO BUY !
There’s absolutely no reason to buy a screen protector. It’s a total waste of money.
Sacré dilemme : les inconvénients d'un modèle, qui font les avantages de l'autre !!!

model Y , dimensions qui posent problème au quotidien, et notamment pour la rentrer dans un garage "européen"
There is no acceleration boost upgrade to M3 AWD long range. Why you capping
There is in other countries
The model Y Juniper is a lesser car than the model 3. It's a compromise for people with children
M3 looks and feels tiny. more suitable for girls
An Xbox can’t fit in a 3? I don’t believe it.
Not the console🤣. An Xbox fridge!
@ how does one acquire this technology?
Yes, that comment was nonsense. Even the Xbox fridge could easily fit in a Model 3.
Current model Y looks much better. New model y front looks extremely basic and ugly
Im a republican but Elon is simply the most cringest lame ive ever witnessed. Talk about a guy seeking validation and narcissist
the model y is ugly. it looks like a dated design from the 2000s or something. like a crappy saturn.
