I agree, Tesla’s direct sale approach is revolutionary.
Hate dealers and the kind of people that work there .... Love Tesla direct !
I stg tesla fans have never known about car dealerships before. This has been an option for decades at my local porsche and bmw
@@G82Watts I’ve purchased a Cayenne from a Porsche dealer. While overall it was a positive experience, there was an awful lot of back and forth haggling over the sale price. This isn’t an issue with Tesla.
I own a 2021. I spend most of the time in “Chill”. It’s smooth and comfortable and lovely to drive. Occasionally I put it in sport and it’s just as much a fruit loop as my old WRX STi was. No complaints at all. Love it.
I have never taken mine out of “Insane” mode.
the pedal is designed to be soft even in sport mode.
I would argue its dangerous changing modes, you muscle mind connection needs to get adjusted to the car.
It needs to perform the same, feel the same, as much as possible.
I'm actually REALLY missing my 2024 Model 3 Performance while it's in for service for a couple very minor issues. Got a loaner 2022 Model 3 Performance from Tesla, since I live a couple hours from the nearest service center. The differences between the outgoing Model 3 and the "Highland" version are stark! I never realized it prior, until now having driven them back-to-back the same day. I had done numerous Turo rentals, but I was still driving an older 5-speed Civic when I rented them on Turo, so the previous Model 3 was a massive step-up. Between the suspension, wind noise, acceleration, fit and finish and overall quality on the Highland, it really is a night and day difference. I understand that my loaner's been through it's fair share of hands in the 25K it has on the odometer, but my car already has 3K and it's truly a night and day difference. It truly solidified to me that waiting for the newest version was the right thing to do.... Now I just can't wait to get my freakin' car back!
You almost described my recent experience. I took my '24 M3P into Tesla service to get the front camera assembly cleaned as some offgassing had left a residue preventing FSD from working properly. They gave me a '21 MY for a couple of days. I couldn't wait to get to my car. Being use to the precision handling of the Model 3 Performance, the Model Y felt bouncy and disconnected from the road in comparison. It also made me appreciate the interior updates Tesla has added since '21 to make the driving experience more refined.
@@Lost_In_LA I'm REALLY hoping they finish mine today. Seems plausible with a couple hours left in their workday.... One can only hope! I'm tired of the rattling trim pieces and road noise! 🤣
So, you're saying your Tesla's in the shop after only 3,000 miles and the nearest center is over a hundred miles away?
@@BogeyTheBear Yes, very minor warranty work though. Steering wheel alignment was slightly off and there was a squeak in the steering column when turning lock-to-lock. As far as the nearest service center's concerned, that's also correct because some of us don't want to be urbanites.
It's actually hilarious reading this when I knew this would happen. All u guys defended ur teslas everywhere when getting called out for poor quality and every thing else. Just like u said and I said .. u can only judge a car based on the cars u have owned previously. Even now someone coming from a porsche or mercedes etc.. would find many shortcomings in the new highland. All tesla did was do what it should of been. The bare minimum.
I've owned mine barely a month and I really don't think I can get tired of it.
Jew
@deeem2628 I didn't know Native Americans were Jews but maybe you're onto something we have noses very similar to that of a Jew and the white man tried to exterminate us.
Same.
“Would you like nitrogen in your tires everyone’s doing it He He !” Dying inside 😂
Had 2017 X, 2019 3P, 2023 YP, 2024 3PH.
I love the 3PH! Do it! Noise is no longer an issue, same with bumpy suspension.
Also looks very nice! And the interior lights, rear screen etc is good to have.
Great video! I still love having a gas powered car available, so I have a G87 BMW M2 as a weekend driver and a '24 Model 3 Long Range AWD as a daily. It's a great 2 car setup!
For me i4 as daily and M2 as weekend car works great. Have had a few Teslas but I find them politically unacceptable, at least currently.

I think a comparison between a Model S Plaid and your Model 3 Performance would be cool.
Gjeebs - I love mine! Thanks for your videos!
great videos. i’m glad you shed more light on the tires. i don’t have a tesla yet but didn’t realize any of this before watching your videos
I have a Tesla Model 3 Performance and a BMW M3 for the weekend. My wife just picked up a Model Y Performance. We also have a highly modified 4Runner for off-road use. I also want to add a 911 S to the stable.
congratulations!! if i may ask, what do you do for a living?
Picked up mine in December to replace my Volt dd and so far, every time I hop in, it's just such an incredibly fantastic place to be to get, anywhere. It's fun to drive, it's fun to be driven around, it's just fantastic.
I have a 08 Sky Redline with an E85 tune for when I need something a little more, Raw. But the M3P really is a fantastic combination of everything you would want in a fantastic sedan.
ALL that you like about the Performance without the 0-60 aircraft carrier catapult acceleration & track capability can be found with a 363 mile EPA rating RWD Mod 3 for WAY less $$$. When and where in AZ have you been able to test your 160+ mph speed capability? Lastly, one of the first things I did to my 2025’s white interior was apply GYEON Leather Shield EVO Ceramic coating - highly recommended!
A carrier cat launch is 0-140 in two seconds.
Does the 340 miles show up on the range meter in the car after you get the all wheel tires
@@oj9886 you need to go into service mode and tell it the new tyre size and it then does it for you. Easy as chips.
I’m optimistic in BMWs EV efforts. Would love to see your take on their electric lineup. Especially considering they speak to people that want true luxury vehicles.
He’s done videos on BMW EV’s compared to his new MP3.
BMW is way behind with EV Technology
The 2025 iX is great and exceeds Tesla’s build quality by a large margin vs a Model Y or X.
Surely has its quirks, as does any car. Glad we ditched Tesla on our latest vehicle for BMW.
@ people who care what others think will always pay more for less if it has the preferred status symbol logo on it. 😳😅
@@josephstone2280I guarantee u can't name one thing a tesla does tech wise a bmw can't. Tesla doesnt even have a 360 cam or a HUD. 😂 and yes bmw has self driving for highway and city and also has hand gesture.
Went from a modded rs3 to a model 3 performance it is fun and I like it but really miss the character of the engine and the exhaust sound.
what type of average range are you getting on a full charge (just driving normally and occasionally pushing it)?
I have to say that I was never in love with the model new 3 , it’s definitely a nice design but I prefer the shape & practically of the new Y, however I saw a black new model 3 in the Bangkok showroom in the flesh & the body curves & general design was absolutely beautiful 👍🏼👏🏼
Ben, Amazon is already implementing Hyundai car purchasing on their app!
Hey man. So you had an M2, st, macan, etc. So no regrets leaving those cars behind? I currently have a Mustang GT but can’t make up my mind to trade it for a model 3 performance. I fear I would regret leaving the v8 rwd manual experience behind
Yea I do miss them and I think you would be really happy with a 3 but occasionally you would want that visceral feeling. I had to sell my M2 because I was having kids and for my business electric cars make the most sense right now. I would still like to get a good enthusiast car in the future. I think you would really love and appreciate the 3 over time.
A winter tire for Phoenix AZ? Really? Anyhow, after going thru the buying experience of getting a car during Covid I vowed never to step foot in a dealership again. There’s much to be said for Tesla’s direct to consumer model.
He said for flagstaff trips genius.
Flagstaff gets the second most snow in the country behind Buffalo NY. Less than 3 hours from Phoenix.

Your magnetic sun visor clip still has the protective sticker on it
What tires and rims do you get for 40 miles mores of range?
I was always into German cars and had BMW's and Audis before. I bought a 2022 model 3 LG and I love it. So simple and great software. I just love driving it. To be fair I wont change it for the new EV Porsche Macan 😀.
I got my wife a ‘25 LR and I hate getting in and out of it it’s so low 🤷🏼♂️ let me know when you selling your Y 😬. We were going to get her a Prius until I had to deal with Toyota dealership BS and no one wants to give you any answer. All I needed was OTD price and not paying 5k dealer add ons. Trying to spend 40k shouldn’t frustrate and piss you off in the process
I love my M3P so much I forget it's annoying to get out of the car. 😀No handles either above the seats to make it easier (perhaps to not get in the way of the side airbags??).
Compared to the Model Y, I do find the Model 3's sitting angle more enjoyable and easier on the back.
Those wheels are amazing on this car, They match beautifully with the red ❤ My dream spec.
Talking about the GR Corolla, they didn't let me test drive it without agreeing on a purchase price. What a joke.
dude I know it's beyond annoying
Greens..I'm thinking of swapping MY LR to a Model X plaid ..I'd like to know what you and your subscribers think.
I like this thought. You have my support
If you have a bunch of money to throw around, why not.
Question for the Tesla owner out there. So, I’m looking to buy a Tesla this year. Is these any service or maintenance issues you guys have experienced? My biggest concern is the battery pack and the replacement process and costs if something does go wrong. Anyone who wants to take the time to share their experience I’d appreciate the feedback. I like the brand and the safety/security features Tesla has.
I have a 24 MY with no issues but only 10 months old. However, our school teacher friend bought a used early gen MY (maybe 20 model?). She did have a battery issue recently (only one I’ve heard of out of all our friends that drive Teslas).
Tesla replaced the battery at no cost to her!!!! Don’t quote me but I believe battery warranty is 8 years. She basically has a new vehicle powertrain.
Not to say lemons don’t happen but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a new or used Tesla MY or M3. My $.02.
@ronwinn879 that's nice to hear. I like the MY over the 3 but pricing is a tad better on the 3. I have family members who drive them and they haven't had any major complaints with their over 8 years of owning them.
Thanks for the info! Means a lot.
Battery also has an 8 year 120,000 mile warranty

I was so in love with my 2024 Highland Performance until Tesla service gave me a Plaid loaner . Now it feels slow 😩
I Love that you were listening to Mac. This newly released album is definitely strange. Reminds me alot of his faces album which makes sense since it was made around 2014 as well. #PAkidsforlife
'24 M3P is the best car I've ever owned.
I feel incredibly satiated. Thank you for your service.
I’ll be talking about this soon. I don’t have the performance version but I did drive it. It’s more than enough for most. I’m just too much of a manual transmission snob to be fulfilled by it. Also I’ve found nothing that beats out GM V8’s from a satisfaction standpoint. Tesla is an amazing car but just not enough for me. The Ioniq 5n was fun-ish but still not enough.
@@revnation_auto I used to be like you. Had a v8 s550 mustang with a manual. Then I grew up…. U will as well, eventually
You’ll Love the Freedom of choice under Trump’s administration 😎🇺🇸
@7:25 Is the poop stain on the seat really permanent? 😀 No product or pro equipment can remove it? That would really bother me every time i sit in it. I will most definitely never trust a fart in that kind of a seat, given your experience 😃
I said it before, never trust a fart, very high risk with low reward.
Why did you get 40 more miles range with the tires and wheel set up?
Because they are a skinnier width than the stock performance wheels. These are the same dimensions as the Tesla stock 18" wheels
Yea he’s got a video about it. The tires and wheel that come on the performance are much larger in diameter and width. They provide better performance on a track. What he did is honestly the best setup for daily driving. You won’t even notice the perforce drop
So the only difference is extra range and a slightly less performance profile to the car with the less beefy tires.
did you not pass high school physics?
Now that it was explained the tires are smaller and narrower , I remembers high school physics and college thermodynamics. So I just ordered the 3P with the motor cycle tires. You know to get that 600 mile range 🙄
I really dont like the chinese fish front end and the side proportions of my model 3. The front is sleek but then the rest of the car kept the same exact shape as the old model 3. Very weird. Other then that and some cost cutting done in the interior its a great A to B. I will say after seeing the new model Y this looks alot better.
Adapt, change or go bankrupt. Nokia and Kodak were once leaders in their industries but were slow to adapt to new technology.
Legacy auto dealers are a nightmare for legacy auto makers. They gouged customers trying to buy electric vehicles.
Legacy auto dealers abused their customers by adding market price adjustments to gouge their customers for EVs
They added pricey add ons and other costs to pump up the prices and their profits.
Tesla has the right idea. Buy online. No hassle. No sitting in a show room for hours. No salesman BS. No crazy markups.
No I have to see my manager BS. With Tesla you can buy a vehicle in 5 minutes or less online. The dealers have no one to blame but themselves. The dealers are dragging the legacy auto makers down with them. The problem with legacy auto makers having slow sales leads back to the legacy auto dealers. They try to talk people out of buying and EV an want to put them in a gasoline car. Many people hate going to legacy car dealerships. Many people call them stealer ships for a reason. New car, used car or going in for repairs you always walk out feeling cheated. People have no sympathy for dealers.
I've been salivating over purchasing a Model 3 for several months. Maybe I'm just a one-off but Elon's "Seig Heil" has put a serious damper on my desire. Whether he meant it that way or not, you just can't unsee a salute like the one he performed in front of a crowd of people with cameras rolling. Gjeebs, you and other RUclips contributors are doing a wonderful job of informing us on nearly every aspect of Tesla vehicles, albeit with an anvil hanging around your neck. Sadly, no sale here.
Jfc, get a clue.
Switched our family back to BMW after a terrible experience with a couple of Model Ys. We’ll use the charging network, but otherwise won’t be buying or leasing any Teslas going forward.
I have a 2021 C63 AMG and will be buying a 2025 M3P soon. I love the speed, I love FSD, I love the value and efficiency... but man, I am really going to miss the sound of a V8, and turning heads at every stoplight.
Amazing vehicle choices. I am always surprised when people complain about Teslas saying they will never give up an ICE vehicle. Why not have both?
The heads turning are people increasingly annoyed with the noise. It’s not always a compliment.
@@JasonRaneses yeah no, but thanks for that thought. Comments like that are another reason I’m not thrilled to join the Tesla community 🙄
Model 3 Performance makes any ice car in same class feel old and outdated. However old and outdated ice cars have “soul” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Teslas are appliances the way they're built. Not even comparable to an actual car yet
@@rogerh2694 u should try the new one. Really night and day compared to their early days
@ I’ve driven them and they make ice cars feel like horse and buggy
always here that “soul” argument, what does that mean exactly?
@ No soul is lacking character. Does it's job from point A to B but lacks any personality besides going fast on a straight away.
I purchased last week a 2024 Tesla S Plaid. Nothing compares to the Plaid, absolutely nothing.
If you don't have a way to charge at home, don't get any EV. My homie got a 3 and he's getting rid of it because he believed people who said it was easy to have an EV with no home charging, found out its not that easy or fun. He only charge to 80%, and doesn't go under 20% before recharge, do the math..he drives a lot and is always at a charger. There's a reason why you can find these used and discounted a lot. Lot of people are buying these with no way to charge at home and are hating their lives for it.
Still waiting on my Atomic Wheels so I can improve my range....
You mean I'm the only one who makes STI blow off valve noises when driving their M3? lol.
Sigh, im ashamed to say i have once fell for that nitrogen bulljive, on a toyota corollary too. I was young 😅

Anyone who gets this car should be thanking the lords and ancestors that such a deal exists. People are so entitled these days
Wtf, I was just thinking about if I need a m3p then u post a vid😂
Why is there a brown stain on the seat lol wtf!!
Bro I really love watching your videos you are simply awesome but for god sakes take off those ugly looking ass wheels and tires and put the original ones back on they are amazing
you already beat this subject to death, i think we've heard enough on it lol
Model 3 from the begging angle has very ugly proportions. Front looks like a mushed in chinese fish thing which would be sleek but then they seemed to keep the entire design of the old model 3 all the way too the rear. It almost makes it look like a wagon. The roof line makes the car hideous imo. Also those tail lights just look so uninspired. Numerous of brands have similar if not the same style. Rims u have on it do help compared to the "bent plastic" that comes stock but tesla design team seem to be held back with cost cutting.
Wheels and tires 👎. If you’re going to rate something then using original equipment is necessary. Using cheap Chinese tires not a good idea.
Don’t worry .. alibaba says those cheap chinese tires get you 100k miles! 🤣
Stop saying the range numbers, please we all know they’re completely fabricated 😢
On the new model 3, the epa numbers are actually legit. I think epa updated their test for Evs. I got a new long range and I was very pleasantly surprised as well. Still have a 2019 long range, and on that one the range is very optimistic. Out of spec reviews did a range test on the long range and rear wheel drive. Both exceeded the epa ratings by quite a bit
Range numbers hold. 👍🏼
Actually theyre pretty spot on.. unlike ice vehicles.
don’t’ care about range numbers, never had an issue with it. rather hear about other things about the car. like a gas performance car, nobody buys them thinking about range or fuel economy, if they did they’d drive a corolla.
The range is horrendous in cold weather climates. Get legit half the epa estimate in the model 3 in mid January. Saying range doesn’t matter is also idiotic. I’m not going to give that argument any credence.
How many times are you going to do the same old tired videos just to get a junk tshirt commercial for us to skip through. Junk junk junk.
Or just buy an Ioniq 5N. Wait until you drive one. That will replace your Tesla. It did mine.
Probably not.
Do a video with "self-driving" without a destination and see where it takes you.
