I have owned my Stelvio for a month and I love it. People stare at this car. I even noticed a guy smiling and looking at my car when I was at a stoplight.
Love love my Stelvio afer having it for 2 years......great SUV...everything you need in a sport vehicle .....no need to spend extra 20 grand for same luxury and features in other brands. Will give it 5 stars. Updating today : Returned the Red after the lease and Got the White with plush RED leather interior with some free upgrades. Alfo Stelvio Ti Sport
Nate I haven’t had any major trouble with my vehicle in over a year. The only thing that happened was the infotainment system screen died once and the dealership promptly replaced it free of charge. Not much pain for the joy I get out of driving this thing... also it still turns heads unlike any BMW/Audi/Merc will.
Great review man! The Stelvio is one of the few crossovers that I actually like. And for this to be the base powertrain its one of the best in its class! I look forward to the next review.
Alfa was known from racing with Bentley and Bugatti back in the days in Formula one (not that I race) I wanted a sports car and something "unique looking" on the road...went to test drive one and loved it! got one in red...it performs as he described...LOVE the roaring sound of the engine...picks up real fast and handles really well! It certainly is a beautiful piece of art! The special refined feature IS the nose and the body shape, so many compliments....love that I don't see many of them on the road right now, but once people get acquainted, it'll become common :(...the downfall of something strikingly beautiful:)
Absolutely beautiful! Love the styling, the white with black styling trim and that red interior. I haven’t driven an Alfa yet, but am looking forward to it. As for all the reported issues with them, I talked to a service advisor at an Alfa dealership and she told me that most of the issues they see have to do with the batteries. She said if the battery was anything other then fully charged it will cause lights to come on and other issues. Great review of one sexy SUV.
Thanks for the review!! Been looking for a good review of this vehicle. Been wanting to get it, but haven't had a hands on yet. Thanks for putting this together
Nice review. I'm not really sure why a lot of reviewers bang on about the boot space like it's a big deal though, I'm sure most people don't really care much about the difference between models. There's plenty space for most people.
Considering this to replace my F pace. Love the customizability! Also I heard its quicker and more fun than the F Pace and its 240 hp 4 cyl. Very professional review, thanks!
Just traded in my 2018 Giulia. Beautiful car, great perfeormance... but oh boy the constant electric & computer issues combined with the brutal depreciation value ... I hope Alfa can or has gotten these issues resolved cause I really loved a lot about this company
I have trouble understanding why is common to find reviews saying the Stelvio doesn't offer a lot of space compared to its competitors. With the rear seats up, it offers 4% less cargo space than X3, Q5 and GLC (525Lts vs 550Lts) ...and about 4% *more* than the Macan and XC60 (500 / 505Lts). EDIT: It even offers the same or more amount of cargo space with the rear seats down (1600 Litres) compared to Q5, X3 and GLC. So basically you don't have to look elsewhere if you want more practicality, in that case you need to go up in the car segment. ...After all, the Stelvio exterior dimensions are similar to its competitors.
Have a 2020 Quadrofoglio and had a 2018 as well. A/C is very Euro non-German made. Same as in French cars, the A/C works super hard, especially in a hot, humid climate like here in SE Australia.
I just bought the Stelvio 2020 about a month ago. Can you, Prime Autotainment ( or anyone else) tell me how the Level 2 "Autonomous" driving adaptive cruise works? Is it a setting that is preset with the vehicle, or do I have to activate it? Please advise. Christina
This is very nice. I'm not to fund of the front grill though and I totally agree with you about the seats. They will become uncomfortable to me too. The rims look very nice and sporty. Excellent review 👏
The only thing I don’t like about the Alphas is their technology in comparison to their peers isn’t the best. I.e. infotainment speed, camera clarity, etc. hopefully they’ll improve in a few years like Jaguar F Pace infotainment improvement for its 2021 model. Long overdue too
I saw Wendy on Billions with this vehicle. So I had to check it out and see what it's all about. She returned her Maserati Axe bought for her. I like it.
So is this SUV still the steering handling king of SUVs? Does the ride comfort noticeably change with the suspension adjustments? So many site boast the Porsche Macan is best.
@@severnsea some italian companies make a replacement that uses the full screen and can include also a front camera. check out this video: ruclips.net/video/l8cncKnagqk/видео.html
Nice video. Any word on a 2021 model out on the horizon? Debating between this and a Volvo xc60 T6. The stelvio seems more fun but tye volvo more practical (but still with a big 300+ HP engine)
...my problem with this model (petrol 280hp) is that where I live in Europe, even with a big discount it costs nearly the equivalent of $80k US. You guys have it soft on taxes over there. You can get the 510HP version for the same price.
Che bella machina! Love this SUV better than any other "upscale" SUV. The Italians KNOWhow to make vehicle handle so sweetly. But I'd say my less expensive 2019 MAZDA CX-5 GT Reserve 2.5 L. turbo, AWD in "Soul Red Crystal" looks just as good and likely has better reliability (according to Consumer Reports magazine). BTW, MAZDA made the CX-5 handle very well with a great steering feel - just not as good as the Stelvio!
That truck space is bullsh*t, but I'll forgive Alfa Romaro for there minimum shortcomings, because that is one sharp freaking SUV. I would just be begging for a speeding ticket if I owned this thing!
It has actually 4% less cargo space then main competitors: X3, Q5 and GLC and 5% more than Macan and XC60. ....So, that probably means every SUV space in this category is insufficient to you.
This tail gate foot sensor is stupid option. You pay extra so you must run away from the car everytime you use it so that the door doesn't hit you. Button is much better
Ian 56 I’m not saying that. What I am saying is I test drove a few Volvos, which was very dangerous given my tendency to promptly fall asleep from boredom during the test drive. No such issues with my Stelvio.
Comparing XC90 with Stelvio is like comparing (luxury) truck with sport car... it a question of priorities, but for me it’s important the car to be exiting, after all you are in it everyday, better have fun in the process... also, we have 2 kids.. and the stelvio is just practical enough for us. Basically for me it touch all points, for a family car... and gives you the bonus of being fun, special.
1 minute in and already you're saying it's a Rear Wheel Biased AWD, Fine... But then you put up the MPGs on the screen and show FWD??? Really???? Use RWD, or 2WD next time, so as to NOT confuse your audience. Or, so you don't look like an Amateur.
