I discovered your channel this morning, and have since watched quite a few of your videos. Just let me say this: you're a true artist. Your videos are a delight to watch, and your photos are pure art. Wish I could have some framed at home!
I really appreciate that, dude. Thank you so much! And you can if you like! I just added some of the images from this video to my print shop. Every dollar I get from selling prints goes directly back into the channel! codymitchell.com/prints
@@Codacolor That's fantastic! Thanks, Cody! There's a small distance problem, since I'm from Brazil, but when I'm in the US, I'll be sure to order one!
I love that there isnt a single word spoken by you, really makes this video much more immersive and intimate in a way. This is probably one of if not THE best video ive ever watched.
Let's take a minute to appreciate the amount of work and dedication this man puts into his videos... This is just crazy inspiring, keep up the good work !
I watch tons of youtube videos on many topics and I usually never comment but the level of quality of your work is so high that I am just dropping here my admiration. Bravo man
Cody. I believe this is one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen on this platform. Everything just comes together to complement each other. I yearn to visit Yosemite (and the west coast) after this video. Bravo, sir.
I just found you and I’m shocked to see how little subscribers you have. Every second of this video could be framed, it’s insane. You’re insane. The filming, the photography, the music, and the production of this video. I don’t know much but I know you’re going to be big
Your film making and film photography is so beautiful to watch. Plus you’re so knowledgeable about film - I’ve learnt a lot from you and find you inspiring! Thx 🙏🏽
Dude, your photography is amazing and the production value of your videos is incredible! I hit subscribe expecting you to have millions of subscribers already, keep up the amazing work and you’ll be at those numbers in no time. Regards from a fellow photographer here in the UK
Man, I just woke up to find a cloudy day leaving me wihout will power to go on a 2 day photo-van-trip. But after seeing this, I'm just gonna GO. Cheers, congrats on your effort creating the video and some pretty nice pictures on a magical place. Respect!
Superb photography, awesome video! Yosemite is on my bucket list, to do several days photography (maybe with a workshop) in the future. Well done, Cody. You should be proud.
Loved this vid. Awesome editing, beautiful photos, and just really relaxing. No pretension like a lot of film photo channels.. Glad RUclips recommended this - new sub!
A very thoughtful piece…..you truly captured the beautiful essence of Yosemite. I loved the sequences of the clouds moving over the landscape … it was very moving and makes me wonder how could you not want to preserve the beauty of this planet for the future of mankind and all it’s creatures.
Found your channel today Cody and its so awesome dude. I love the stillness and sweetness of the moments in this film. I'm taking a trip to Utah and Yellowstone in 2 months, and I'm now hoping to come away with a short film like this. Really inspired bro. Keep making awesome stuff! 🙌
Ian, thank you! Appreciate you!! and I know this probably isn't the advice you're looking for but just do it consistently and try styles out of your comfort zone!
Thoroughly enjoyed both this and the previous video (more like a short film at this point :) )! Also noticed the shift towards more quiet narrating, I found it cool and powerful a as well (even though I really enjoyed when you shared your thoughts in the videos)
Thank you, Artem! I enjoy making both styles and don't necessarily intend on excluding one of the other. Just experimenting with how I make things. Really glad your enjoy both!
Hey Cody, really appreciating your work. I binged watch all your video for about a week now. I've learn a lot from you not just photography. I have inspired from you to pick up film as well. I would hope I can know your thought process when shooting in future videos.
Hi ! First of all, bravo for this video, we really go with you smoothly and all the images are stunning. I was wondering how do you manage to stabilize your camera inside the van while moving, do you have a special stabilizer? Maybe you say it in another video, I just discovered you channeled (I'm about to binge it all, I must confess). Thank you ! Lots of love for this beginning of 2022.
Thank you, Manon! I have triple suction cup mount that I stick on my window to mount the camera. It's not a perfect solution as it can get pretty shaky sometimes, but it works for now. I believe it's a Delkin Triple Gecko or something like that. Thanks for the kind words, and happy new year!
Thanks so much! and eBay! There are a couple affiliate links in the description that will point you to pages for two of my favorite cameras if you're interested!
Once I hit a critical mass of shot rolls, I swing through the nearest post office and mail my film to State Film Lab in Louisville KY. They're my lab of choice.
hi Cody where is this place? by the way is your van a v6 or v8? this places are going on my to do list thanks bro till next time like i all ways say "live free or die trying " ;)
Day 243. Still upset about the immaculate ever-improving quality of Cody’s videos. Everything he creates is a movie… meanwhile I’m trying to figure out how to get the smell of dog crap off my shoes. He goes to some pretty special places, though I’m sure it’s some sort of CGI effect…not sure places like that exist and I know Cody can be full of shit when it comes to nature. Anyway, looks better than the city. My car got broken into last night by a homeless man and I ended up thanking him for making it quick. The contrast between Cody & I continues to spiral me into deep depression. That’s all for now. Will write back soon. Looking bleak.

Thanks, Bogdan! I've considered it. May do one in spring. We'll see!

Thank you, Chiseng! I have thought about exploring that topic in a future video. I'd want to make sure I don't rush that one and that I do it justice.

Thanks dude! And slog3 all the way!!
Where do you get your stuff developed and scanned when you’re on the road? Do you go from place to place or do you send them anywhere specific?
Once I hit a critical mass of shot rolls, I swing through the nearest post office and mail my film to State Film Lab in Louisville KY. They're my lab of choice.
