Thank you for the awesome content! Note: In case you aren't hep, when shooting negative (print) film, and having it printed, instruct the lab "no color correction - no density correction - please print with no adjustment/ as shot". This way you will receive prints (proofs) that are more like the results you get when shooting slide film. A much better learning tool.
Thank you for the breathtaking shots! The human marker for how big the base of the tree was is very helpful. Your insights reminded me again why I use film camera to capture moments!
For me, I think I go back to a remark by Joseph Campbell that it's the task of the artist to convey the radiance behind the day-to-day reality. The "rush" of photography, of being a photographer, is feeling yourself the vehicle through which the radiance passes
I did this same drive 2 years ago. LA to Oakland. Wished I stopped at Point Lobos. Point Reyes is my absolute favorite. I wish I could spend a week there.
This is super. lots of work has gone into those videos. Great work, now I have film and my father-in-laws Yashika FX-3 film camera. Will try film now but still have a Sony digital camera. Im motivated to try different things, Subbed too
I have been on a few occasions and your country has not disappointed on any of them. Definitely high on my list of places to revisit (covid permitting)
Absolutely love this and am so glad I’ve found your channel. When trying to just make photographs and absorb what’s around you, how do you balance the more technical side of exposure with your eos 3? Are you just letting the evaluative metering do it’s thing?
Hey Sam. Great question. One of the things I like about taking it slow is that I get to really consider my metering. The metering part of my photo walks is an instrumental part of the meditation for me. That being said, I will let the camera choose the exposure when in run and gun scenarios.

Beautiful.
Really love your work, taking time, slowing down and photographing is also my personal photography philosophy. To sit and observe and think.
I recently got into film. This was super helpful! ✌🏼
What song is this? So peaceful and calming. Complements the video wonderfully!
Perfect photograph at 7.44 including leading lines in and around the picture. Nice work.
