    It looked like the Domar 6400 was the fastest.

    Nice saws. I’m a Dolmar Man. Needs the same bar/chain to do a good comparison. I’d really like to have one of Those long Dolmar Bars. I have a 33 I can use on my 85cc BB saw but it don’t say Dolmar.

    I have 5 huskys from 35cc to 88cc. And an old dolmar 120si. I have a hard using anything but the 288 and the 120si.

    Im guessing the Makita was a bit dull.It is the same saw as the Dolmar 6400 isnt it?

    • @ChmodX
      @ChmodX 5 лет назад +2

      That 6421 was likely a home depot rental sale and dull. It is the same 64cc engine. You can tell by the black paint on the guide bar. The tool rental logo is applied onto a uneven coat of black paint on those and comes off very easily.

    I have a 7900 dolmar like softwood cut to about 12,500 rpm hard wood at about 10 000 rpm, check the carburetor adjustment

      You do realize the 7910 here was about 3 seconds slower that the 6400? Small wood and I bet the 7910 chain wasn't sharp like it should have been.

    • @theaxeman4429
      @theaxeman4429 4 года назад +1

      Matt K - it is Just because 7910 was running bar twice as long. 6400 is very sweet - but 7910 is the Strongest Dolmar. I have one.

    • @mattk970
      @mattk970 4 года назад +1

      @@theaxeman4429 Yes bar longer but it was small wood, I think the chain is what didn't do that 7910 any justice.
      I have a Makita 6401(Dolmar 6400) that I have done a muffler mod on and dropped the base gasket for a squish of .020. It is strong but I am still thinking of swapping in a OEM 7910 Top end. I don't need a bigger saw as I already have a Husky 390XP but my 6401 converted to a 7910 would be sweet with my 22" bar buried in oak.

      @foeke8740 4 года назад +1

      When your chain is sharp, you don't have a need for rakers with a 20". Even a 24" doesn't do justice to the power.

      @@KimballCody I thought they did. Good now I can finish my order. Found a dealer on Ebay with a bunch of Redmax bars really cheap. I wanted to buy an extra 14 inch bar for my Redmax can't think of the model same as the Husqvarna 439 or rear handle version of the 435T top handle and he had a bunch of others think the 28 inch was only $30.
