If you’re still shopping, the Nikon DSLRs from the 2014-2016 era have optical viewfinders and great specs even by today’s standards, and most can be found for $500-700 used. I see used D810s for $500 right now and that’s a full frame DSLR with some really nice features.
The D750 is another nice full frame option at $500, and the D500 and D7500 crop sensor cameras are also in that price range.
Fotodiax has lots of adapters to use different brand lenses on those Nikons as well.
