Hit That *Like* Button If You LOVE Pitch Meetings! - Wonder Woman 1984 - THE BIGGEST WTF QUESTIONS & PLOT HOLES: ruclips.net/video/lM7IqWz4f2k/видео.html
For me one of the funniest things of the movie is Diana flying for so long, with the day fading, going through a storm, while in fact the distance between the White House and her appartment is less than a mile. Take the bus WW, it's clearly faster
if steve would have come back into his own body, diana would have NEVER returned her wish. probably would have crushed to death maxwell lord. cause the way to undo the damage made by the stone is: A: give back your wish B: destroy the stone or maxwell lord "stoned" version. so getting a murdering wonder woman is not appropiated.
@cablecow15 yeah ScreenRant does other things, but nothing propelled them forward like Ryan George's Pitch Meetings. So he is carrying the channel. Have you seen the comments on Pitch Meetings where people ask ScreenRant to upload them on another channel so they can subscribe & press the bell for notifications, because they don't want to subscribe to the Screen Rant channel & get notifications for non-Pitch Meeting videos?
I also found it so stupid that Cheetah got hurt by electricity and Wonder woman didn't. You know, since she also has Wonder Womans powers combined with the power of Cheetah
yep. And if you watch that scene, you see that Cheetah is jumping from electricity cable to electricity cable. Runs over them. Plays Tarzan on a broken one... And all the time sparks are flying around... Nothing happened. WW84 logic.
I thought the same thing but Diana is a demigod made from Zeus. Barbara has the powers of Diana but she isn’t necessarily Diana if that makes sense. I think this is what the screenwriters thought. This wasn’t as big of a concern for me thinking about the movie.
My biggest problem is why is nobody actually using the word "r*pe" when describing the "intimate scene"? I don't care what justifications anyone tries to use, by all definitions, especially these days, that is in fact r*pe. Someone tried to argue "the guy's mind isn't there, isn't in control". Well, the same can be said for someone who's drugged or drunk.
Yup. Whether you've been roofied with GHB or a cosmic wishing stone, the result is the same. Zero consent equals rape. I HATE that Patti Jenkins somehow thought this was ok, especially in a movie where attempted rape is literally used as a major plot point. Just...wtf???
Let's piece together the timeline for "Handsome Man:" he's somewhere minding his own business, and then blacks out for several days. He wakes up confused, standing outdoors in the middle of an apocalyptic scene. His body is probably extremely sore for some unknown reason. He makes his way back to his apartment, to find out that someone has rummaged through his entire wardrobe, eaten all of his Pop Tarts, and his bed is a mess. I assume he probably makes a bunch of phone calls to people who thought he was missing for good reason. He manages to put the pieces of his life back together and decides to move past that mysterious blackout episode. He is then out with nothing to do on Christmas Day, and happens to run into a woman who probably looks, sounds, and smells oddly familiar to him. They have some polite chitchat, she compliments his outfit, he walks off into the snowy sunset.
*Continued: He walks back home to his apartment to find the police waiting for him in connection with some camera footage of a jet being stolen from the Smithsonian. A few hours later and he's sitting in an interrogation room watching as a woman and a man who looks eerily similar to him break into the building.
And then Wonder Woman ends up pregnant with a kid of this guy who does not have a single memory of doing such things. Ah, the wonders of bad writing on a movie.
He is also fired from his high paying job because he hasn't showed up in a week and never called. His whole family as started a search party, his gf is dumping him...
Man, I'll be so ecstatic when Greg & John hit 1 million subs this year. They truly deserve it after the years of grinding they put into this channel. I also appreciate the fact that they doing it on their own terms...even though they could probably have grown faster by changing up their own style for more views. I'm proud of you guys!
The weird thing about Steve Trevor's wish is that he did make the offhand joke to Maxwell Lord about "Well I wish I wasn't handcuffed to you right now". So... did the stone choose to ignore that wish? Can it tell sarcasm? Did it fulfill it by having Cheetah break them apart?
I think maxwell has to agree to the wish...I think there's a scene where he keeps telling the person to wish for something better and the wish doesn't come true until a wish he approved of is mentioned
@@Sup-jz2ow So basically the stone only being able to grant one wish is then also not true because he gives Cheeta a second wish simply because he is feeling generous even tho she already had used her wish.

11:36 Yeah, we learned that there's a whole desert behind the Smithsonian full of planes in that Transformer movie. Transformer movies rule everything now - Star Trek, the DCU, Predator, you name it.
I just watched the movie and the one thing that popped into my mind when it was when Maxwell Lord was standing in that contraption is from the Batman movie with Jim Carrey as the Riddler absorbing everybody’s intelligence. Where Max is absorbing everyone’s wishes and he gets to make a wish of his own in return.

Sometimes I think DC/Warner should send these scripts do Ryan, so he could point all these mistakes. And they could at least "try" to fix it. But then, we would probably don't have so much Ryan videos.

First time I am seeing you guys doing a reaction on a Pitch Meeting From Ryan George/Screen Rant! So excited! Wow! Thumbs up from me before even watching.
Little Diana shouldn't even be competing in that sporting event. Her mother Hippolyta forbade her from doing any training in the first movie. So why was she allowed to train and compete for this??? Plus, the mom didn't even find out about Diana secretly training with her aunt until Diana was a teenager and doubled down on the "no training" order.
I was thinking that his consciousness got sent to the sunken place like Get Out, but if that was the case he would have remembered being forced to sleep with Wonder Woman lol
The Steve not making a wish thing seems explainable since Steve himself was a wish, that is, he really shouldn't be there in the first place so it's like someone who shouldn't exist anymore making a wish, which should violate the rules, but then it's not like the rules of this thing weren't made up and contradictory as it is.
The dreamstone doesn't follow rules like we do. The only rule it follows is the monkey's paw rule: "grant (3) wishes but only with hellish consequences as punishment for tampering with fate" (from The Lady in the Barge).
It really is true about the evolution of the movie explanation game on here. If Ryan, Honest Trailers & Movie Sins came out at the exact same time for a movie, I'd watch them in the order you ranked them lol.... then probably watch Ryans another 1 or 2 times.
the reason people with abilities take off their glasses is because they don't have bad eyesight anymore. but yeah, its often portrayed as them being more attractive.
For the little Diana scene, don't forget that as astablished in the first one, she's supposed to not have the right to train until far later. So being that super mini ninja warrior in front of her mother seems quite weird
My biggest problem with the movie? When Barbara Minerva touched the dream stone, her first wish was to be more like Diana Prince. Slight wrinkle: What if there is more than one Diana Prince on the planet? What if the dream stone gave Barbara all of the abilities of one Diana Prince from Oklahoma City, who suffers from claustrophobia and Type 2 Diabetes? What if there is a Diana Prince out there who is an alcoholic? Or an abusive parent? Or a clerk who works at the post office? On that note, when Diana wished for Steve Trevor to come back from the dead, what if there is more than one Steve Trevor? What if the consciousness from one of the Steve Trevor’s that came back was a stillborn infant? Or what if he was an elderly patient who died while in hospice care? What if there are hundreds of these Steve Trevors souls just running amok in other peoples bodies thanks to Diana’s stupid fantasy? There are just so many infuriating problems with this kind of plot oriented Mcguffin that it would not have surprised me if Deadpool had shown up by the second act to wish that the movie were over already. What a lame ass film. I swear Patty Jenkins better not screw up Rogue Squadron. I’ve spent too many years waiting for that movie to be met with this level of disappointment.
12:40 I didn't find this as an issue, as I thought the movie explained this in two wishes: his son wished him to success or something to that effect; he had the general watching the military base housing the dish to wish that his plan would work and he did. I think those two wishes made him get as far as he did. Those wishes don't fix all the movies issues, but I think it does explain how everyone understood him and how he understood everyone else.
I choose to believe this is how the real wonder woman pitch meeting went because thats the only reason that maks sense how they dropped the ball so hard on this
😂I was there for there for the real pitch meeting. Here’s the leaked transcript: WB executives: “What do you have for us, Patty?” Patty: “OK so hear me out. The MCU. Our recent Joker movie. It’s clear people are trying to make GOOD comic book movies right? What if we DONT do that?” WB “wha..what do you mean?” Patty “I mean those were GOOD movies so how about we make this bad. I mean go all in bad! No redeeming qualities! Whatcha think?” WB “Ohhhh yeaaa yea! I with ya now! Gold! Here’s 200 million” Gal gadot “ But.. Patty “want to go back to silent bikini acting in the background of Fast and furious?” Gal “No. I do not.” Patty “ Good than shutty.” It had to go that way. You don’t make a movie that bad on purpose unless you’re Tyler Perry.
This is what happens when you replace the script team of Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg (Writers of the first film) with the guy who made Three Jokers and brought Joss onto JL (Geoff Johns).
Imagine if Steve did wish for things to go back but did it at the end and Diana decided no and tried to stop him but didnt let her stop it and then he disappeared that would have been a more emotional moment seeing him go away
It feels like they made 4-5 bullet points like Bring Steve back Show invisible jet Introduce cheetah Flight moment like MoS A speech for good at the end And then wrote a story around these points.........cheetah could have been the villain alone but neither her story was compelling enough to be a single worthy Villain for WW nor they would have been able to make that stone plot line which necessary to bring Steve back
thats a pretty good question, if its the former that would actully explain why the wishes are erased given there would be well over a 1000 assholes whod keep there wish cause humanity is shitty sadly i think its the latter given thats how the movie portrays it, which as stated above doesnt make any sense
@@redscul129 my bad, the movie portrays it as diana asking everyone to give up there wishes and they do, which is stupid cause there would be thousands of assholes whod not give a shit and keep there wishes, that better
@@thorn5228 well... if the assholes keep their wishes and the good people too, then the result is caos anyway, so yeah the first option is better, maxel cancelling his wish also cancels everything else
Imagine if Wonder Woman was actually Wonder Man and he just wished his deceased partner's mind into a random woman's body then had sex with her. That would be a pretty fucked up movie.
Diana may have only known Steve for a couple of days, but you have to remember that he is also the first man she ever met and he showed her what the outside world was like and taught her what love is.
This is the first pitch meeting that I saw them utterly confused with all the plot holes and mistakes in the whole movie. That says a lot. Isn't Bruce already alive in this timeline? He didn't wish his parents to come back or are they going with the New 52 version?
@@wewoor if you miss the target with the first arrow, do you get to shoot another arrow at the same target? What are the rules to the race? What if other people miss targets or shot the wrong color?
X-men days of future past has that consciousness problem as well with wolverine taking over the body of the other wolverine but it actually kinda makes sense in that X-men movie
Well in that movie. It was done to save the world. That and it himself getting put in himself. So it not really slavery or whatever. Plus he didn't (g)rape anyone else. So his character wasn't destroyed. WW84 on other hand. Diana and Steve both knew the entire time. It was done out of selfish reasons. And it was pretty much (g)rape but because Diana is a woman. Don't forget that the guy (Steve) will get arrested for attacking the Secret Service.
😂I was there for there for the real pitch meeting. Here’s the leaked transcript:
WB executives: “What do you have for us, Patty?”
Patty: “OK so hear me out. The MCU. Our recent Joker movie. It’s clear people are trying to make GOOD comic book movies right? What if we DONT do that?”
WB “wha..what do you mean?”
Patty “I mean those were GOOD movies so how about we make this bad. I mean go all in bad! No redeeming qualities! Whatcha think?”
WB “Ohhhh yeaaa yea! I with ya now! Gold! Here’s 200 million”
Gal gadot “ But..
Patty “want to go back to silent bikini acting in the background of Fast and furious?”
Gal “No. I do not.”
Patty “ Good than shutty.”
It had to go that way.
Oh, watching my favorite reactors react to a Pitch Meeting is TIGHT!
It feels like they made 4-5 bullet points like
Bring Steve back
Show invisible jet
Introduce cheetah
Flight moment like MoS
A speech for good at the end
And then wrote a story around these points.........cheetah could have been the villain alone but neither her story was compelling enough to be a single worthy Villain for WW nor they would have been able to make that stone plot line which necessary to bring Steve back
I imagine the guy is in the sunken place from get out
I would imagine the host would remain unconscious while the invader is taking over, like how it works with Ino's technique from Naruto.
Nope. He goes to the waiting room with Al and Ziggy.
I Thought new guy is the re-incarnation of Steve Trevor
Now he is just past life ghost self
imagining things is tight!
What if an orphaned Bruce Wayne wished for his parents back?
if steve wished for everything to be normal at the white house, they could have made the movie sooo much simpler!
i have a question, when max lord canceled his wish, al the wishes are canceled or is individual when one cancels a wish??
thats a pretty good question, if its the former that would actully explain why the wishes are erased given there would be well over a 1000 assholes whod keep there wish cause humanity is shitty
sadly i think its the latter given thats how the movie portrays it, which as stated above doesnt make any sense
@@thorn5228 sorry, i didnt understood the second paragraph
@@redscul129 my bad, the movie portrays it as diana asking everyone to give up there wishes and they do, which is stupid cause there would be thousands of assholes whod not give a shit and keep there wishes, that better
@@thorn5228 well... if the assholes keep their wishes and the good people too, then the result is caos anyway, so yeah the first option is better, maxel cancelling his wish also cancels everything else
maybe the conscience of the guy is like the movie GET OUT , just there for the ride
Super easy, barely an inconvenience
When someone says a moive was trash or just sucked. I always ask was it better than WW84? Bc this movie set the bar for unwatchable.
This was hilarious.
Written by patty jenkins and geoff johns 😂
Imagine if Wonder Woman was actually Wonder Man and he just wished his deceased partner's mind into a random woman's body then had sex with her. That would be a pretty fucked up movie.
Diana may have only known Steve for a couple of days, but you have to remember that he is also the first man she ever met and he showed her what the outside world was like and taught her what love is.
I kept trying to figure out how the jet didn’t run out of fuel and crash in the Atlantic
Honestly this isn’t even typical superhero plot holes, the actual plot of this movie must have been written by a toddler… because wtaf😂
How did DC executives say yes this is a good script?!
This is the first pitch meeting that I saw them utterly confused with all the plot holes and mistakes in the whole movie. That says a lot. Isn't Bruce already alive in this timeline? He didn't wish his parents to come back or are they going with the New 52 version?
He issued the fact that she learns to fly in 1984 but can't fly now.
How did Barbara renounce her wish? She was knocked out cold
Where did the Crystal go at the end ?!?!?!?
I wish you pause the video when you burst into laughter so you dont miss anything.
How did they know she cheated in the race? She could have missed the target with an arrow. Do you get to shoot another arrow if you miss?
Obviously you had to hit all the targets to win, but then she also took a shorter route than the others.
@@wewoor if you miss the target with the first arrow, do you get to shoot another arrow at the same target? What are the rules to the race? What if other people miss targets or shot the wrong color?
Awesome and perfect😀.
That's not what happens when a cat is electrocuted
Me: not when the cat has superstrenth and super durability
X-men days of future past has that consciousness problem as well with wolverine taking over the body of the other wolverine but it actually kinda makes sense in that X-men movie
Well in that movie. It was done to save the world. That and it himself getting put in himself. So it not really slavery or whatever. Plus he didn't (g)rape anyone else. So his character wasn't destroyed.
WW84 on other hand. Diana and Steve both knew the entire time. It was done out of selfish reasons. And it was pretty much (g)rape but because Diana is a woman. No one (mainly sjw) are going to say anything.
I agree but I remember asking myself a day after watching that X-men movie in 2014 what happened to the other Logan
Child Diana learns not to be a cheetah... someone should of told Barbara.
