After a bit of jump spam and wiggling, a thyla can fit in and out of that cave, it's just a really tight fit.
The Bary is probably the new best, but it's been a blast to try to find new tames to do the caves!

You may know this already but I found out recently that a barry not only regens fast when it's eating fish, but also regens significantly more each time it KILLS and eats a fish. FOR SCIENCE!!!

Honestly I have been favoring the Dire wolf for the caves. It hits bats easier than the sabertooth. In my opinion a better jump too! Great video! Get well soon!

The cave looks AMAZING!
I'm still able to get a thyla in the cave w/o cryos...it's difficult and you have to jump past the crystal part in the cave and sometimes it can take a minute or two
its tight but igot my thyla in that cave it was a while back I can rememeber if iwalked it in or road it in but ido remember I got it in becasue when I came out of the water I over jumped and ended up jumping to the otehr side which was harsh becasue every hing in the cave came after me all the bats and everything i had to jump down and fight everything barely got out alive lol
the ice cave you either cheese it like I did all those times or do the old school raise the dinos in the cave which I didnt have the patience for
Get off the Thyla and make him follow you in. It will fit.
Get yourself an imprinted dimorphodon. Level up melee only, and keep it on your shoulder. It will kill the Argents and onix for you while you're riding a sabertooth.
Best mount for this cave is 1 or 2 parachute and quick legs. Just drop down to artifact and run up to the exit without killing anything
Good to hear that you’re feeling better Phlinger, Strep Throat is definitely no fun at all. Probably will take a bit longer for your voice to bounce back fully with all of the talking you have to do for your videos.

Yes - no cryos yet on ASA - except through mods.
You can fit a Thyla in the cave. It takes some wiggling around and it is possible to take it out as well. I suggest just raising one in there and leaving it to run the cave over and over
This is a bad idea in single player as your tames can fall through the mesh.
Man the caves look sooooo good in ASA...
Had no trouble with a Sabretooth when I ran it. Also got an almost max Megatherium BP
Bats are the reason I mostly use direwolf now.
Did you try having the Thyla follow you in instead of riding it?
The cryopod mod helps alot 😊.
This is the one cave i don't use any mounts for lol just grapple hooks, ascendant sword and shotgun

Seaking of "might not fit in X" Baryonix might not fit in the underwater tunnle cave anymore, well I saw ONE video when AsA was new and the Bary was to fat.
