iPhone batteries never last like they used to. After 18 months of owning my iPhone 13 mini, the battery health was at 89%. During that time, 11% of the battery cells have irreversibly depleted. In Lehman's, you may charge your phone more than once a day. I certainly noticed this and rather than pay an exorbitant amount of money to do this at the Apple Store, I thought I’d do it myself. I have prior experience of replacing batteries in iPhones, iPads and MacBooks. Most of which are available to view on my channel.
For this task I required a QianiLi iCopy, a new battery, new adhesive (for battery and waterproofing), suction cups, pliers, magnetic mat, five star screwdriver (pentalobe), Phillips screwdriver, tri-point screwdriver, triangle opening tool and spudger.

Amazing tutorial! Feeling confident doing the replacement myself. Do you get the “non genuine battery” notification every time you restart the phone? Or is it just on initial startup?

Thank you so much! I only receive the non-genuine battery notification once turned on, but can be easily ignored with just a swipe of a finger. The battery still charges fine by cable or wireless charging. The iPhone still recognises it as a battery and I noticed an instant performance boost as a result.

I noticed instant performance boosts across the board 👍 Prior to this, I was experiencing regular lagging. It's recommended to replace your iPhone battery every two years than simply pay another $1,000 for a new iPhone.
