    I subscribed because I have 2 sons and I remember trying to find things to do with them that would be educational and fun. You really hit the mark with this endeavor! Congratulations.

    Awesome job .I just bought a Phantom.They said it was a sunfish.Your Video makes me feel excited to sail it.Growing up me and my brother sailed sunfish and laser.Thanks!!!!

    Nice quick fix. What wood are you thinking of replacing it with? Or maybe fiberglass?

      Some type of hardwood would be best. I think I've seen others use mahogany.

    Hey sir, I just scored one fo these for 150$. I am VERY confused about the spars. Theres 1 black ring attacked to the two aluminum spars, it looks like it fits over the black spar that steps into the boat. Are there supposed to be more? If so, what are these things called?

      Maybe we'll do a rigging video! The Phantom (like most Sunfish clones) is a lateen rig. The mast (single pole) goes into the boat with the halyard up and over the top. The spar with the ring on it is the lower of the two, with the ring around the mast. The halyard goes to about the middle of the upper spar, with the sail between the two.
