when I made my first petroleum boiler, I used aluminum metal blocks as boiling plates, it melted, oil flashed to sour gas, and it was BAD. so yes the melting metal block at 20:05 is so relatable
You can always crack open one tile of abyssalite and let the frozen core slowly chill your pool of water next to the gas tanks. It will keep everything chill down there.
Good morning Echo! So glad to see the return of Sir Buffer Knight. The volcano sauna is coming along nicely and I cant wait to see it in action (make sure Echo Holmes stops looking at slime first). Keep up the great work and thanks for another wonderful video! 5:148:4611:53
I usually don't like or subscribe to channels that beg and push it super heavy, but you found a great way to add it to most your videos without being over the top, so well done! I have subscribed, liked, and all that (and commented to help the algorithm)! Great videos, I've been watching since episode one.
Tempshifts next to volcanos of any kind will melt, they do tend to stop steam from dispersing the heat around on fire up. Placing down Granite once the room's 200° should work just fine except on the 3x3 around the volcano exhaust. I have seen even Steel cables and Obsidian gas vents melt on a boosted Gold volcano they're not to be joked about.
With regards to getting more petroleum, the oil reservour planet has magma volcanoes. A petroleum boiler setup is water positive, meaning you can use just enough water to get the system started and stable and utilize the water that is made in burning off the excess petroleum to continue the cycle.
10:15 - I believe it is a misconception. Yes, the first suit is used most, but oxygen-wise it doesn't matter - if the first suit is empty, dupes will simply take the next one in line. Because this happens when dupes are standing next to the checkpoint, there is no difference which suit gets picked, apart from which suit is worn out first.
@@EchoRidgeGaming Yes. But it doesn't matter which nearest suit is available, as there is no time difference for a dupe to put on the nearest suit or the farthest one. The amount of time spent at the checkpoint is the same, since dupes don't actually walk up/down the aisle to pick up a suit.
But don't they pick the one closer to the checkpoint first? If the one closer has only a bit of oxygen (not empty) and the next is full, they pick the one with low oxygen, and then they run out of oxygen outside.
6:10 "I've seem to have set a new record of dupes w/ slimelung in this colony" As another dup literally gets infected w/ slimelung on the screen making it 5 outta 6 dupes XD

Love using the blue print mod. Only problem with it if you make a copy of it with material you don’t have you have to go back in and change the material
You could have used radiation to kill the slimelung germs. Dig a few holes and let space radiation seep in or plant some worts. I still feel like using a rocket platform with even small gas tanks is worth it. Bridging it so excess is stored and only fed on if the source runs out saves on the powercost as well.
it is in the game. its just called snap shots. you cant save snap shots like blueprint mod but it lets you copy paste them....on the same map. so ya. not as good but its in there if you need to do something simple. CONGRATS ON THE START OF THE SAUNA!
Interesting that the gas tanks were connected green to white instead of my style of all outputs on one line and all inputs on another line. Is there a difference?
I mean... A pump moves 10 kilos of water, a tile holds 1000 kilos... There were like 10 tiles more water... And the water moves fairly quickly when in big quantities....
Challenge ideas -move everyone together when colonize new planet after strip mined previous planet (no-return) -accept every bad trait at least 1 each -no replicate good trait
The "we have 4 out of 6 duplicants infected by slimelung" comment playing over footage of the fifth duplicant being infected gave me a good laugh 😆
You could use the sauna to create a bit of a filtration chamber for the polluded water and salt water
Will def be doing this in the future.
Salt water yea ez but pwater could be a problem couse of sand
@@OSNX a small 3x5 chamber connected to the sauna with an Indipendent steam turbine and enough pressure to not let it offgas
6:12 just as you talk, a dupe decided they want some of that slimelung as well, bringing it to 5 sick duplicants

I love this series. You weren't kidding about there being more episodes.

Echo seeing the water about to spill over into his base: Let’s add some *thermal capacity*
Very much liked this video, I don't mind the slow progress because i get to see the slow and steady eay of the planetoid transforming:D
17:59 Oh, that's just a dupe sleeping on a ladder. He's probably exhausted because he didn't reach his bed in time due to slimelung
I forgot how fun the game was and didn't play for a very long time. Watching your content restarted my interest and now I'm addicted again lol
Yah I had the same feeling a couple months back bought a new PC just to play again.
Thank you Echo for your amazing work on this series
Check your suit checkpoints for high temps. Have that issue with industrial saunas all the time but it stops if you cool the suitdocks.
They retain the heat after taking off the insulation for a moment cooling the docks let's them vent the rest of the heat during the change.

I really appreciate you using the abyssylite in your sauna!
I love this series, Echo. Thank you for continuing with it!
I love your videos so much, your videos helped me get further into the game than I ever was before. Appreciate the good work :)
Thank you!

This series is great, and I always love to watch it. BUFFER TANKS YEAH!
Awesome to see the progress this episode!
seriously entertaining Echo, I was laughing at the little salt water spill XD
"little" haha

Perhaps but in your suggested method, the first suit is unavailable for longer? The rear suits won't be used as often as the front suits.

@@yadiracamacho499 You know, you might be right. This may be the only reason why 1st suit should have priority in oxygen supply.

Best way to fight slimelung - use buddy buds! Fight germs with better germs!

Hey Echo, first up nice content!
Just wanted to ask how much Playtime you have on this playthrough now?
I will look and call it out next video. :)
The mechanic-abusing side of me keeps screaming "build an infinite gas storage!!" 😂
Echo Ridge fun with hot water. Steamy hot thermals in your area.
Keep up the great content! ❤
13:30 Sherlock Echo on the lookout for slime-lung?
13:31 Echo I see you!
Nice job finding the Hidden Echo!
hope you feel better soon echo 💕
6:00 - 😂
The resource potential is amazing in that planetoid.

Things are at least starting to look cleaner. Can barely tell there was a hot mess just a few episodes ago
I’m so sad! I’ve been binge watching the series and have finally run out of episodes! Cant wait for the next one though
Honey wake up!
We have endless industrial grade metal!
YEAS, MORE METAL!

i feel like editor echo must get really tireed of hearing "i know this is a bad decision but im gonna do it and its gonna be okay"
Awesome
Feel better soon, Echo!
Thank you Naz!
i like how it goes from dupe safety is number 1 too...slime lung infected dupes raw dogging volcanos >.

Poor nasally Echo, get well!
I wonder if you should've made a boomerang-shaped sauna further up the planetoid and included all 5 volcanoes in it :)
Is there a vod on twitch or youtube for that colony? I'd like to just binge watch all of it.
I adroe watching the industrialisation of this colony
Echo is that a Great Hall, the plant seems to have died...

nice! whats up with the detective guy with the magnifying glass at 13:30?
Its called a Hidden Echo. Every episode has one. You found this one :) Great job.

How much do you actually NEED to fill the entire sauna with shift plates.
The need is relative. Every temperature shift plate makes the sauna more effective and efficient.
The dwu would like a word about the lack of a hospital and medical packs
Haha, love this :)
I would have made the steam room smaller and let the puff live
What kind of computer do you have? cycle ~1300 and still smooth, nice!
Just recently upgraded to a 13900k :)
let me guess you were kinda sick when you did this episode?^^ i think you also laid the pipes for the atmo suits wrong...^^

Instead of digging across you should have dug under the salt water so that it was on the same level as the water pump.
Fine
cycle 1234 reach !
Ive said it since the first time i used it: blueprints should be base game.
Concur.
why aren't opening gift skins in episodes? (if you didn't know click on blue printing pod icon next to red alarm buton)
We do that on the live streams over on Twitch. You should visit some time.
got here before the notification!
