Give it up for Paulina, the freshly minted 2023 Drumeo Rock Drummer of the Year! Pau has since streamlined Dull Knives and taken out some of the complex fills but you still won’t find a better three minutes of straight up Rock!
The fan who gifted Ale her Spectors, and will live forever in TW lore is Thomas Illgen. He was one of the very early fans, and noticed the same things about the band that you have pointed out. Ale deserved to be heard! Thank you Thomas!
So fun to hear the presenter say he knew nothing of The Warning until the nominations came in . The Warning Aemy helping to conquer the world award by award.
Because of Pau's Win at the Drumeo Awards a "Gazillion" more people will be introduced to THE WARNING..The rise of the band is like a rocket right now... OH...Hi guys, nice reaction.. I love this song, I love your songs too🥰🤟🎶☮️
One of the comments you read was ABSOLUTELY WRONG. "Dull Knives" is not on _XXI Century Blood._ It is part of the story being told in their concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene._ This performance was ten months before the release of the album. Thank you for reacting to The Warning! This song ROCKS!!!
I’ve watched all of your warnings series end-to-end. The one thing I wish we could see from this concert is the crowd size. I bet you it was a small crowd yet they still give it their all. Also… you got to give their Dad credit with how great their sound is. He is the invisible force behind their success
This is the first ever public performance of “the Mona Lisa” of rock songs. 🤘🏻😀🤘🏻 This is not the final version of the song. The version you already reacted to is different. Pau removed the small fill at the end of the verses in favor of a bass run. She liked the way it flows better.
This song is a poster child for a top down, wind in your hair, drive to fast, road trip song. Not long, but a ton of energy packed into these 3 minutes.
Another great reaction guys. It's a shame that the Dakota is closed down now. I always wanted to go there when we were in Mexico but it never worked out. It's wild that they were playing there when they were that age. Someone said that they were only allowed in to play and had to leave immediately after the show. No "Meet and Greets" in the bar I guess. I don't know if that's true, but I do know that "Dull Knives" is a great song and is responsible for getting Lizzy Hale's attention, It led to a supporting spot for TW on 2 tours. Congrats to Pau for winning the "Drumeo 2023 Rock Drummer Of The Year". She wasn't nominated for "Drummer Of The Year" though. I watched it live last night and the way they talked about her support from fans, if she had been nominated she would have won hands down.
I have been watching reactions to The Warning for 4 years now and you guys are easily top 3, love your insights on what is going on musicly and it helps us non musicians to be better listeners as well so keep up the awsome job:)
TW in 2024 first six months: Pau won the Drumeo award, Wacken 2024 in August sold out 6 months in advance, first performance of 2024: Feb 8, Shiprocked festival in Grand Cayman Islands on Carnival Magic cruise ship (well earned vacation with best of snacks) then back to Mexico for a few dates, then off to Europe again!. Dull Knives?, pure rock!.⚡⚡⚡ in 2018 a pro bassist named Thomas Illgen gave Ale her first two Spector basses. TW invited him from NY to jam with them at their home. 5 years later In 2023, Ale now famous, gave him two of her basses in thanks.
@@SDsailor7 I found out she gave him the first Ale's Inferno serial #1 manufactured for the consumer market. It's an $8k bass + whatever the collector's value for serial #1.
Yes I heard the story about Ale being gifted two basses by him. And good on her that she reciprocated in that way to show her gratitude. She is a stand up person.
Been here for the whole ride, one of my favorite shows from these young ladies I have requested this show in the comments a lot. Just seen where Bruce Dickenson released a video with Eddie Z i believe "Rain on the Graves" very well done .
Great reaction guys. Dull Knives you can put on repeat and see the different versions. Also, I appreciate your own music - pretty cool! Keep on rocking, guys, all 3 of you

Nice Reaction Guys! Speaking of Pau drumming with no shoes on, I caught a video of them at the Whiskey A Go Go starting the song Survive and Pau was taking off her shoes WHILE she was singing the intro part. Her shoes had laces, so she was having to untie them and pull them off with both hands. There were several video's of it, but the best one was from the side of the stage.
🔥⚡🤘Great réaction guys, I love all your reactions to The Warning and I want more ! Maybe the Liceo show when they were younger. Congratulations to Paulina the best Rock drummer of 2023!👏 DPA will drop their new single on 02/02. Hanabie new OMV "Otaku" is on air today and guess what ?... it's a banger !🤘⚡🔥
This was when Pau had a bit different drum pattern... She took away some of the fills that I liked but it is their song so... I can still listen to it hear in teh old version
Great reactions and commitment to get into The Warning, you really seem to appreciate these exceptional power trio. The reactions and comments have been genuine and on spot. Really think this band is worth it and so are you guys. Many thanks.
it was few months before Lunario concert and it's not the final version and it was one the last concert who ale played is 3/4 scale bass. few weeks later a fan gave her her first spector bass
I do like so, so many things in The Warning and their music. One thing that keeps getting me hyped time after time, is bass lines and playing. One of the most favorites song of mine.
So Sam, which Spector(s) are you looking at. PJ's or not. 5-string or 4. I assume you tried some out. What are your thoughts? Another great reaction to TW. As for Pau, she just won the "Rock Drummer of the Year 2023" award from Drumeo! Appropriate that you were commenting on her drum sound here. Keep up the reactions! 🔥🤘
Great! Thank you! Qué genial ha sido este ciclo de reacciones al show de Dakota Bar. Lo he disfrutado muchísimo! Gracias! Ahora voy a buscar este tema y escucharlo varias veces más 😅
a dull knife tears instead of making a clean cut... torn wounds are very hard to repair... in this 9th song of the concept album, "Queen of the Murder Scene" (aka QOTMS), the Queen is considering suicide as one way to possibly stop her evil side from taking hold... by using a dull knife, she is making it harder for someone to stop the bleeding and save her if she is found before she expires... in another of the songs on the QOTMS album, the lyrics talk about the water in a tub turning red from blood... this is seen as a female way of suicide because the tub would keep the mess all contained and not mess up other parts of the location... to me, the lyric "I'm plucking roses but keeping the thorns!" is about seeing, gathering, and embracing beauty while retaining only the darkness and gloom that was used to create and protect that beauty... that's some pretty deep stuff, there! TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
I concur with RandyTWA, BIG kudos to Paulina winning Drumeo Rock Drummer of the Year!! Hey guys, like always, thank you for all TW reactions to date, excellent analysis, cheers.
Looking forward to your new tracks! I thoroughly enjoy you guys, and someday would love to see you live. Of course, I'd probably have to put up with the hideous FL humidity, but you never know... if you find yourselves doing a Western state tour someday soon, I'll definitely head out to a show!! 😋
Another thing that might really interest y'all, being musicians, is the uploads on the RandomMusic @TheWarning channel. High quality edits of all of their songs, minus lead vocals. You will hear things from the drums, bass and especially guitar that you never noticed before, because they were buried under vocals. You get to see what a monster guitarist Dany actually is. 23 is almost unrecognizable at first. More sounds like Layne Staley could be singing over it. QOTMS sounds like it could be a Dio tune. There are also a cappella edits.
Good call re: Ale's bass in the mix - it is definitely more prominent in all the later performances of Dull Knives that I've heard. I thought it was just low in the mix by the sound person, but maybe Ale's Spector(s) that she plays in future shows makes the difference. And Sam, maybe you should do a video of trying out a Spector....
I’m a Subscriber cuz you guys offer very insightful feedback with your reviews and your series reviews have been done quite well. You’ve done a lot so I need to go back to make sure any future requests haven’t been covered already but I’ll chance it here. I know you’ve reviewed sone of the stellar performances from Teatro in 2022 but there are never done before ones from the Pepsi Center in ‘23 that are are definte watches like their accompaniment of violins & cellos and a fullsize traditional piano rather than electric for Pau. Perhaps a compliation review with Black Holes, Breathe, and Enter Sandman with that added flavor. If you covered those already, I’ll edit this request but I know you didn’t do a compilation one.

Ok, I double-checked and it looks like you haven't done any reactions from the Pepsi Center. You did do the two live new releases at Diana and of course, many from Teatro, all of Lunario & the Dakota. The Pepsi Center one was special in that there were over 8K in attendance in an indoor venue so it was incredibly larger than Teatro was so they made it special in that regard. Plus they've been getting Pepsi commercial spots in Mexico so that add to the hype that much more. My previous request stands. Breathe is particularly noteworthy because Pau said she would never perform it live because of its heart-wrenching significance but she did it for them.... and us all who watched the video(s) after. ⚠⚡⚡⚡
