When they make mistakes they just push through. Sometimes they smile at each other. Sometimes it goes off they rails, they catch it, recover and start again after a good laugh. They hide nothing. Voices crack, wrong notes, bad tuning… they just shrug it off and keep going. They are fearless and any imperfections actually almost scream absolute perfection…because you can’t help but love them for their honesty as the amazing artists they are.
in this time of phone cameras there's a few TW "Happy Accidents" over 10 years playing. The ladies just keep the show going regardless.🤘 Many other rock icons have had total meltdowns when things fail. 😢Paulina did break her drumsticks in half when the mic failed during the Evolve scream.😂
@ashlenamusic also they have been very transparent that they use backing tracks in some songs to add a little bit like piano or sometimes a second guitar sound. They are not ashamed about it. With The Warning it's all about whatever serves the song and I defy anyone to find any trio that does more on stage than them.
Every time I think I’ve figured out my favorite The Warning song I hear one like Amour and now it is my fav. The instrumental is so good and interesting all the way through the song, and the harmony is just beyond. How does Pau low harmony to the darker parts is a song then jump up the the high harmony for a powerful part 🤪 and is that French Dany is singing. They are just unbelievable. They are very talented but that still only comes with long hard work. Thanks for reacting to that one and all of them.
Dany's vocal at the end of Amour, chills every time! 🤯There are videos of Dany forgetting lyrics, but even then Pau take over almost immediately, so even when they mess up they are impressive.
I fell in love with these girls about 5 years ago and I have not hardly listened or watched anybody else since. I was addicted the first time I listened to them. Then as you're doing I just kept digging deeper and deeper . It's amazing as they are musicians they are such good people. And surrounded by such good people. Of course Mom and Dad and Rudy and the whole team and just got everything on the right track to on top of the Rock world ❤❤❤
Dull f’n Knives just kicks serious butt! It just builds & builds… Amour is so funky, love the bass & drums. Then Dany just soars in the vocals - insanely good! Thanks Ashlena! ❤
They make mistakes but I think since they've been playing live shows since they were itty bitty, they just have the experience on how to deal with the mistakes. I watched their first live performance after lock-down and you can tell that a combination of being rusty and probably not having a proper sound check contributed to the mistakes. They dealt with it like pros and didn't let it mess up their concentration. It's impressive.
I'm a lists guy. I often try to organize the Error album, among other things, by numbering things as best to worst. With The Warning it is extremely difficult to not only pick favorite tracks, but to figure out which ones are on the "worst." Amour is one of the songs on the bottom of the list for me, but then I listen to it again and I'm like, "ok, time to organize my list again."
Love Armour, the drums in the pre chorus and chorus are insane :) When the song came out everyone was asking how they gonna play it live, and of course they came up with a way to imrpove and enhance it even more.
Dull knives is awesome. I wish it was longer. When they're not playing it for part of the Murder Scene story, it would really drive a audience wild if it was twice as long somehow.. Anyways, have a good day, see ya TWA🤟🎶☮️
We all love these girls Ash....best rock band on the planet, and simply most talented by a long shot....thanks to TW....my rock life is now complete. TWA!!!!
Dull Knives. Ale's bass is like a freight train. Amour. I think the most RUSH-like bass-drum parts in any of their catalog. One of my favorites from ERROR album.
That outro of Dull Knives is one of the best things I've seen live, Pau kicking butt and taking names at the end lol. I love the intro to AMOUR cuz of the drum pattern and another great bassline from Ale. You can add French and binary code to the list of languages that they speak now after the ERROR album lol.
Ashlena thanks for promoting these Sensational Sisters, I just can’t get enough of them at home, work, driving car, on every song they play, they make me smile, laugh, and sometimes shed a tear.
I got a notice for the full release of this concert , I haven't seen if it was actually released today but its gona be epic to watch the whole thing straight thru ! .... Oh ok it gets released at 2pm today 🤘🤘🤘love the bass in dull knives f**king brilliant!
Ashlena, i know exactly how you feel, I luv “Amore” , it takes you up, down, and all around. Dany is such an incredible singer, Pau slams those drums with all her might, and Ale is so cool on bass and just blends in so perfectly !
Love both of these songs! As well as all their other songs. Lets face it, I'll probably like any future songs they release too. Is this proof that we are living in a simulation? Is it statistically impossible to have so many good songs and no stinkers? Maybe, but who cares! They rock and we are all the better for it! ⚡
The Warning is very talented but they have put in huge amounts of time practicing both as individuals and as a band, so I think that is why they are just so good live and seem to have few screwups. There is a general rule of thumb saying that about 10,000 hours of practice is needed to 'master' a skill and I'm guessing The Warning is closing in on 10,000 hours...
Awesome Ash I love the double shot videos look forward to the next two thank you. They are so freaking awesome these two songs are so good back to back
I've been anticipating your reaction to this one. That ending bit just destroyed me, I tell you what. It's kind of fun having seen them a number of times in the last year - this number and Enter Sandman in particular got so much better as they figured out what works best on stage.
Great reaction Ash! I don’t know what it is about this band, but every performance makes my heart rate jump and my eyes moist. Thanks for putting the words to the feelings I’ve been having since I became a fan over 4 years ago. ✌️❤️🔥
I feel so bad because I'm watching these reactions out of order, and I really like following the reactor's journey as they watch these videos, and I've seen these videos probably a thousand times, but I get the biggest thrill when someone watches it for the first time.
I think their formula is to make every song completely different. And yet it's still recognizable as The Warning. I also have to repeat, these girls just don't understand that they are not supposed to be as good or better live than they are in studio. In your Toronto show you did see where they made some mistakes. The crowd probably finds it funny... not because of the mistake... but they like to see The Warning's DPA are actually human. Among all us humans. And then usually Dany but sometimes Pau actually makes us laugh a little more, showing us they ARE human and adorable and just lovely people.
Yes, sometimes I think they are aliens.😂. But is true, what other 3 pieces band was this good at this age? I guess they make some mistakes for us to show us that they are playing live. Incredible.
They were performing at the Whisky a go go and messed up.pretty good. At the start of a song Pay launches the click track to start and as she is playing her drums Ale and Can't just stop, turn Around and look st her. So they stop as Pay is starting to sing, " oh no, I guess it is not that song". I heard that it turned out Pau was correct and Dany and Ale were wrong. Very funny, they kept the blooper in the video.
Actually Ale started walking over to Dany to tell her that Pau had it right. The very next video from that concert starts out with Pau saying "I was correct!".
You need to see one of their blooper videos. I know they don't like to show the mistakes, but fans love them even more seeing their human side. Ale tripped doing he famous Ale shuffle and fell on her butt. Never missing a note I might add. On another video her strap on the base broke. So she had to struggle to hold that up while playing. She also had a a show where she stepped on the bass lead wire ripping the connection out of her bass. So no fixing that. She stopped trying to play and just clapped her hands in time to the beat. Dany was. Trying to sing Crimson Queen at foro didi, the acoustic guitar lead malfunctioned ( dead battery I think) so she sang the entire song a cappella. Pau once broke not a stick, but half her drum kit during a performance. You could see she was angry about it but played on as best she could then yelled at the crowd before the next song. " Show more enthusiasm, I broke my drum kit for you!" Not to degrade the ladies, but mistakes happen live. The coolness in how they handle it and overcome is very impressive. I have seen seasoned veterans have temper tantrums onstage over lesser mistakes.
Nothing phases them. For 10 years they dreamed of opening for Muse. Less then 2 minutes in to the first time Ale tripped and fell on her butt. She never stopped playing. Carlos was out there and had her stood up in about 5 seconds, Dany was not even aware that Ale had fallen.
Luckily she was not hurt but she actually landed on her low back. During one of their streams Ale talked about not really feeling it then but that same night she couldn't stand up. She was going again by the morning though. The next show with Muse the manager for Muse commented that she didn't bust those funky moves....LOL. Then Ale and Matt Bellamy had a discussion about some of the mishaps that Muse has had & he pulled out his phone to show her some of his upsets.
There is tge time last summer when Pau lost a stick and for some reason couldn't grab a new one so she just used her hand. I'm sure no one had a clue, except that someone is always recording it.
When I first saw them at The Velvet Underground, there were no stage amps. Their playing was perfect, so I was wondering… then Ale made a mistake. Yay!
A very good friend that i showed this concert to said her only concern was how these three played a two hour concert without sweating? Androids? 😆😆😜 I LOVE THIS BAND !!
For the record Pau did not drop a stick, she split one in 'Survive' Ted Talk and the broken piece landed on her cymbal then she put it down and got a new one. When she hit the cymbal the broken piece flew off. Granted they are not perfect, like after 'Shattered Hearts' at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go Ale and Pau started a song and Dani did not. Pau said ""It's not that song" but it was on the song list and Dani messed up. Shit happens in Live performances, it makes them more adorable how they cope. My favorite as someone mentioned was when Dani was singing and her guitar pedals messed up and she had to bend down and fix, Pau seamlessly took over singing- in Dani's tone no less, until Dani could resume and then she dropped out. I'm sure many people there did not even notice. Proffessionals at so young an age.
Pau actually did drop a stick once, during the Liceo school concert. She was adjusting her InEarz or maybe her hair and the stick just slipped out of her left hand. She calmly reached down and got another one just like she does when she breaks one. Their reactions to their mistakes are interesting and sometimes hilarious!

As for mistakes - the biggest one I can think of is on the Ellen show, Dany was maybe 14 or 15 I'm guessing. They were playing Crazy Train, and as soon as the guitar solo started Dany made a mistake, and it seemed like her mind turned itself off for 5 seconds or so - her fingers continued to play pure nonsense while she was away. She had a look of pure terror on her face. It was terrible. I imagine she went backstage afterwards and had a total crying freak out (deservedly so), but then the band came back out for an interview after the commercial break and she was fully composed, having shook off and then put behind her the absolute public embarrassment she just suffered. There is a similar embarrassing moment playing Crimson Queen for a live recording that is on their channel, where her acoustic guitar's wireless pack had not been charged before the show, so she is forced to sing the song completely alone, as it is essentially a solo piece. The look on her face is heartbreaking as the realization sets in as she strums a silent guitar. I bring up these moments not to point and laugh, but to show the strength of her character. She powered through these tough moments and then put them right behind her and moved on. Her personality is amazing. Seeing her live chat highlights that turn up on youtube have made me really appreciate her as a person. Dany is awesome.
There is a video out there where Danny starts singing the wrong song. I think it might have been one of the LA shows. Some one will post it for you I'm sure.
Should I watch Ashlena react to Dull Knives and Amour, or watch her react to Z and Ugh, or watch the full concert from Teatro Metropolitan?
YES! I will be spending more time on You Tube this evening than I really should, but it will all be worth it. :) They do make mistakes, and they have had things go wrong, but they just do their best to work though it. I have seen two clips from years ago, where Ale had her bass strap break, and has done her best to balance it, and keep playing, until someone brought her a chair so she could sit and play. There have also posted a concert video from when they played the Hell and Heaven Metal festival from years ago. Their closing song was survive, which has the big instrumental outro, and Ale's bass loses sound. Both she and Dany can be seen looking at the cords trying to figure out what happened, while Ale continues to play, with no sound, but in the end she just clapped in time to the music. She was 13, or 14 at the time. They are unbelievable good. Are you going to watch the Teatro full concert with your daughter, since she missed out on the one that you went to?
Do you really want to see them f*ck it up? Go watch Martin TW’s video from their performance at Bogotà , Colombia on 2023 during “Survive”. First, Dani forgets the lyrics, then at the end, Dani’s guitar stopped working….still, the handle it like a boss and managed to perform as awesome as always! (You need to do a reaction of their performance with the South American crowd)
Dany has forgotten some lyrics and Pau and Ale helped and the other is Pau and Ale and the crowd . One of them she just Shrugsc her shoulder. ( I THINK ITS A REEL)
When they make mistakes they just push through. Sometimes they smile at each other. Sometimes it goes off they rails, they catch it, recover and start again after a good laugh. They hide nothing. Voices crack, wrong notes, bad tuning… they just shrug it off and keep going. One of the best Pau "fuck ups" is at the end of the Shattered Heart video from Whiskey A Go Go. Give it a reaction soon.
What Dany does in the outro of Amour resonates in your soul. What a talent to write! They do magic on every song, every time.
If you want to see them mess up, Dany forgot the line in Amour at 6:52
When Amour starts it feels like a Tragically Hip song, I love it also

No this is important!! It shows they are professional and human!
There is a video out there where Danny starts singing the wrong song. I think it might have been one of the LA shows. Some one will post it for you I'm sure.
did you catch the French lyrics Dany sang in *Amore*?
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Hahaha yes
Should I watch Ashlena react to Dull Knives and Amour, or watch her react to Z and Ugh, or watch the full concert from Teatro Metropolitan?
YES!
I will be spending more time on You Tube this evening than I really should, but it will all be worth it. :)
They do make mistakes, and they have had things go wrong, but they just do their best to work though it.
Hahaha you’re awesome and yes I watched the full thing. It’s okay I didn’t get around to 23 but I might make a video on my thoughts…
Awwww send the link if you have it!
Dany has forgotten some lyrics and Pau and Ale helped and the other is Pau and Ale and the crowd . One of them she just Shrugsc her shoulder. ( I THINK ITS A REEL)
QOTMS and 23 is out
I watched the live stream 🙈
for me? Dani has surpassed dear Floor Jansen as my favorite singer,.. PERIOD
Wooooooow
I was hoping the vinyl of the day would be "Queen Of The Murder Scene". Did you receive it?
Not yet!! Hopefully by Friday
Guy yelling 🤣🤣🤣
He’s the best
Your missing 23 and QOMS from the Teatro concert
Bud they didn’t go live until the whole concert video came out haha
Given Ale's dislike of her own singing, her mic volume is probably low by her choice
True!
🤘🤘
