Looks wonderful. I would like to make this for my Portuguese husband. I don't see the pepper paste in the ingredients list which seems integral to the recipe. There are so many brands and types available in the jar. Can you please provide what you are using? Thank you.

Hi. Yes I’m sorry. I use Ferma brand sweet pimento paste. I usually buy it at Walmart or in a grocery store that has a European section. And you can add as much as you want because it is not spicy. But if you prefer spice, then buy the hot instead of the sweet. Good luck. Let me know how it turns out for you😊

What’s in the prepared red sauce ?

It's peppers ground up into a paste with salt and left to ferment for a while. It's been a long time since my mom has made it so I can't be sure. You can also buy it most grocery stores that carry European foods. It comes in spicy (hot) or mild (sweet). Hope this helps. Thx for your support!

In the oven at 350 until a meat thermometer reads 180 the let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy !😊

Every family has different ways of using spices. This is what my mom used and what I learned to used. We are both Portuguese 😊
