Tex is my new spirit animal. I wonder what he might have done with some country-blues-rock arrangements e.g Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings if he were one musical generation or two later than he was. Also, If this show were on today looking nostalgically 40 years to what was current, we'd see Blondie playing hits from Parallel Lines and also Bob Marley, the Ramones, Van Halen and the Cars.
Thanks for this upload - well worth seeing. I was watching the 1941 film version (professional, entertaining, and now time-tested) earlier today. Great to see this, 43 years later. Thanks again! Larry, Taiwan
Marion’s and Tex’s voices are still remarkable and I absolutely adore their talent and wish I could have seen them live!
Tex was so talented. brill sax and cheeky drawling vocals. loved him - and I was born in 1961. (been following this since I was 15)
This is a treasure because tex and just about all of them are gone now but their music lives on!!!
Great! What a great voice! The best part is seeing how much he enjoys singing.
This is goated and makes me cry everytime
Please bring back the golden age of Music
Tex still sounded GREAT - even better then he did 40 years before this ! GREAT STUFF !
