My first album? Electro 1! I’m 55 now and still listen to it as well as Altern 8 1965 - 2000 was the best period in musics history, in the uk we had it all but gave the world more!
Loved the early years story, I remember listening to Tears for Fears The Hurting with Mark early 80's, hes an absolute gent and possibly a lot bigger than he thinks. Well done, fantastic story.
Such a legend in the upcomings of early electronica. A period/time that was forever influential on mine and friends life trajectories. Its amazing to see the old stand testament from such a niche little place in time and life, surviving the slow death of the underground to mainstream fracturing of genres to become timeless. Seeing the younger generation key into it and carry it on is pretty incredible.

Altern8 dragged me out of the industrial scene (Skinny Puppy, Ministry, etc) and into rave. I’ll be forever grateful.
