First part agreed, about windmills and obviously not able to dance no chance, whistles were/are feckin bullshit, no bs needed in my ear when setting the floor alight, also bin the MC ffs.

I liked it for about 10 minutes BITD.
All these tunes are rinsed to death. I still DJ now aged 54, did a 3 hour set today, but I would never play rinsed anthems, I heard them too many times. Thousands of other amazing tunes to play without hammering the same old tired shyte.

This is beautiful to see, after all these years Rave, oldskool hardcore in 2023. Altern8 one of the original pioneers of the hardcore scene, playing banger after banger. Their's a lot of people there who wasn't even born when Rave exploded, but it's great to see them enjoying it and having a blast. Big ups Altarn8, Coventry Midlands crew was definitely where it's at back in the day. Man Parris, Bang-in Tunes, eclipse, the edge. Oh yeahhh 🙏🏼👊🏻🎶🎶🎵🎵🇬🇧
The Eclipse was the best club in the country if you ask me and I went to shelleys and the Haciender but these were far from pioneers,they were pop stars .I saw them in shelleys car park with the other 10,000 people that claimed they were there,and I certainly wouldn't call charley a banger when it ruined the rave scene.
@@english1midlandsCharlie was a killer track but got picked up by the pop charts inspiring a bunch of cheesy toy town techno tracks.
However, the best thing about Charlie was the B side - Your Love, a total killer track.

This was Epic, when Charlie Says came in I had tingles!!! A complete history of early Rave. Altern-8 Active 8 got me into raving and of course quadrophenia, 3 blind mice, dominator and all the other magical songs that came before and after that ;) Unfortunately whilst the predominantly younger audience seem to be enjoying it they will never be able to experience the freedom of the original Eclipse raves :( And the thrill of unofficial empty warehouse raves etc.

Get the Full Masked Hysteria, one of the best dance albums EVER made. There aren't made full albums from this era other than The Prodigy, Bassheadz and a couple more.

These songs don't awaken the same energy in the public as they did in people from my time.
They were fresh back then, and people have heard these tracks loads of times by now.
As someone in the crowd (not the vip session that gets filmed) i can assure they did! I suspect the people behind the decks are slightly self conscious I was jumping around every direction!
As someone else said, these are all very well played tunes that everyone is very fimmiliar with. Plus this is in the middle of a huge festival, they are just chilling. They've probably been on the sesh for a couple of days already at this point :D

I'm 41 years old. I was just a bit on the young side to go to the raves. But I had two older brothers who were the right age and I was 10 years old growing up listening to all the tape packs !!!
