I've enjoyed a number of Gervase Fen books and this one I liked for the very unusual premise of the shop disappearing. I liked the strangeness of it. I don't think it was my favourite in the series though, I seem to recall really enjoying the one where Fen stood for election in a very countrified area. Buried for Pleasure I think it's called, but there are a couple I still haven't read. The humour is always wonderful too!
I really like the wit in these books, too, Cath. And this one really does have an unusual premise, doesn't it? Right from the start, it invites the reader to get involved in the story and try to work out the truth about the toyshop and the body.
