@@ChristmasMorning1995 this is the lie of the century and you shouldn't believe it. most people don't eat nearly as much around others as they do when alone. in absence of a potentially life threatening metabolic issue (which would have other symptoms), someone wouldn't even carry 50 extra pounds with the same diet as a healthy person, let alone 750. A 900 pound person would have to consistently eat more than 13 THOUSAND calories per day. you would have to consume that much to be that weight, because fat cells can't materialize without eating.

Alot of it is due to a underlying metabolic issue. If you aren't proactive about you will gain very quickly. Its about diet changes and living as healthy as you can. I had a friend no matter what he did he gained. He did the best he could at that time. We were still in school so he was dependent on his parents. Once the weight gets so far its just a roller coaster ride. Alot of these people also have traumatic pasts. Its alot of emotional eating that happens. It's like when they get the food they just feel better but some at some point get so aggravated at themselves. Alot of them need mental support. So many thing it's just they are shoving food down and that the end. It's a complicated situation and sad.

This show gave me motivation to change. In 2015, I weighed 542 pounds at 5'3". After bariatric, exercise, nutritional, and therapy changes, I can proudly say I just weighed in at 178!! I've had one surgery to remove loose skin, yet now I have more skin and reconstruction needed. I'm not sure if I can get it. No matter what, I'm happy to be alive. ❤
UPDATE: I just weighed in at 161, and with 15 lbs of loose skin, my doctor believes I'm FINALLY AT GOAL! I just got another medicine taken off my chart, too! Total weight loss is 397 and holding. It's been tough, lots of tears, and therapy, but finally, I'm happy 😊

Literally nobody on earth wants to be trapped in a body like this. No one. This is a clear lack of understanding of what causes this type of addiction and self destruction. People who are addicted to drugs (or food in this case) are trying to numb the pain of feeling unlovable, worthless, or whatever the core trauma is. The drugs sooth the pain, but unfortunately, they destroy the body in the process. And they will never make a person like this feel loved, safe, valued, which is what he has been looking for his whole life. "Addicts" need a whole team of people to help them transform their lives and to heal. They seldom create all of that momentum alone.
