I have to believe that the bench scene is what sealed the Oscar for him. Everyone knows him as frenetic and chaotic as a comedian, but when he goes to work as a dramatic actor, he's a spectacle to behold. Other movies (Fisher King, Awakenings, Patch Adams, Dead Poets Society) feel like that too.
I had this reaction ready to post a handful of days ago, then suddenly it got marked with copyright issues. After numerous editing/re-uploading attempts, I'm unfortunately left with this pretty short version. All that aside, I can't put into words the way this movie moved me. From the very beginning I was completely captivated by it. I didn't comment nearly as much as usual, but I think my facial reactions speak for themselves 🍎
It's weird because some have much longer edits (some over an hour) with no copyright issues. It looks like they have a better way of slicing and dicing and adding effects (filters in spots, blurred screen w/ audio, etc). Plus, I don't think there's a blueprint for Reaction videos like everyone seems to think there is. Some talk very little and some walk all over the dialogue because that's all they know for dodging copyrights. There's always ways around it if you have the right edit.
This is a film I identify with on a very personal level. Watching this now, it hurts even more because Robin is no longer with us. I just wish someone could have helped him understand that it wasn't his fault either. I wish someone could have pulled him back from the edge.
I always cry when I watch this film, truly cathartic tears. Not a sadness of despair, tragedy or hopelessness, but a purging of so many parts of myself I cannot even put into words. It was wonderful to see another person share in the experience of Good Will Hunting and have recognizable reactions to my own. Thank you for this, you are appreciated.
Like I poorly explained, watching certain scenes were such a reflection to moments I’ve felt in my own life. It hit really hard. Thank you for watching :)
I'm 31, and relate to the role of Will a lot in this movie, and it makes me cry everytime I watch it. I think it's profoundness is in how it shows the innocence and well intentioned soul of every person, and how unnecessary and undeserved trauma and abuse can twist and distort individuals into ppl we perceive as wholy evil and unworthy of love/affection. However, this story portrays the beauty of an individual able to overcome those traumas and grow into a nurturing and positive personality.
I honestly don’t think I want to know a person who DOESN’T get wrecked by this movie. I bawled in the theater when it came out and I’ve bawled every time I’ve seen it since, including in every reaction to it I’ve ever seen.
Steph, your commentary at the end was so amazing, so sincere, so jaw dropping. It took me back to the first time i watched this movie. ----- i cried when Robin Williams talks to Will Hunting on the bench. ----- I cry again when Sean tells Will, 'it's not your fault'. ---- Your reaction and post reaction status was exactly how i felt. ----- Just know that you are not alone.
Don’t worry, I tear up every single time. Chuckie was a great friend who wanted the best for his friend, even if it meant Will going on and doing big/better things. Sean helped Will and Will helped Sean.
Good Will Hunting is definitely in my Top 10! Also, it turned me on to my all-time favorite musical artist, Elliott Smith. A few of his songs are in this film, including the end credit song "Miss Misery"
You should never apologise for sincere emotions. To be blunt I simply couldn't 'get on' with anyone who didn't get emotional at this film. Some of the most heart wrenching dialogue in movie history delivered by two young boys and a truly tortured genius. It's just stunning. Loved your reaction.
Hey Steph, think the parts with Robin Williams and Will Hunting got you the most because everytime Sean spoke he referred to the deep love he had for his wife. ------- I know it makes you think of every person you loved and lost. ------- What they meant to you and how you want to hug them even tighter after this movie. -------- GWH, is amazing at making you feel the fear that each character has and their inability to deal with it, which is a knife that cuts very deep for so many of us. ------ Will has fear of abandonment. Sean has fear in making a deep connection again, Chuck fears he will only be as good as his construction jobs. -------- Professor Lambeau fears has an Einstien level genius in his grasp and he can't get his to fulfill that talent (he can't get his out of the patent office). ------ The writing is so smart as to allow the revealtion of these fears through conversation and character interaction. ------- I hope my breakdown of the themes in GWH spark more dialogue. ------ I have had over 30 years and 100 viewings of this movie to decipher and understand the depths of the writing in this movie.
@@cinemawithsteph I might be good at reaction videos, but i know i would flake at the commitment it takes to consistently record, edit, upload, pass copyright. ------ I was an editor for movie trailers, TV commercials and short form documentaries. ------- So I have the deepest respect for folls that come on YT and make reaction videos. Its not easy for sure.
@@cinemawithsteph plus I've seen about 1600 movies in my lifetime and at least 200 of them I've seen them more than 20 times each. So there might not be much popular stuff for me to react to.
Sometimes I wonder why certain bits are left out, but of course it's that copyright nonsense. Thank you for working so hard to find the line between copyright and retaining as much of the original as possible. It shows an authenticity that was also present throughout your whole reaction. Thank you for sharing how this movie made you feel. I feel less alien when I see someone having the same emotional response to something so meaningful. I look forward to seeing you react to more in the future.
Thank you! Copyright is so frustrating. I completely understand it but my goal is always to try to put as much of the movie in the reaction as I can, but it bites me in the ass a lot 😅
First of all, you couldn't "ugly" anything if you tried. Secondly, this is my favorite movie. It moves you in a very unique way. Great reactions to the beats, although you didn't feature the NSA monologue, which is my favorite part, but it's all great.
I think Robin Williams, Ben Affleck & Matt Damon definitely deserved their Oscar wins for this film. Good Will Hunting has been in my top 5 favorite movies since I was young, I’m so glad you loved it & found it moving! Great reaction! I’m definitely a fan of Matt Damon. The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) is an amazing thriller/drama set in the 1950s that I’d recommend from his early career. It is rated R with a star-studded cast: Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, Philip Seymour Hoffman, etc. It’s a bit creepy 😅 if that’s not your vibe, I’d recommend a movie from more recently in his career The Martian (2015) that has 7 Oscar noms
When Robin Williams first read the script for this movie. He asked the director Gus Van Sant "Who wrote this?". Gus Van Sant said "These two kids Matt Damon and Ben Affleck". Robin Williams again asked "No seriously who wrote this?". Gus Van Sant replied "Seriously they wrote this". That surprised Robin Williams. Cause there's a depth of writing in this script that few young writers have.
It’s such a good film and your reaction was how I felt when I first watched it many years ago, subbing because your empathy shines through and look forward to more
I’m so glad the movie had such an effect on you. It gets me every time I see it. I was a mess the first time I saw it though. For me it’s those deep heart to heart poignant moments with Robin William character Sean and Will. It’s just that with this movie it’s the heartbreak as well as the feel good touching moments that bring on the tears. The emotion just comes on strong and from both sides. A brilliant movie, one of my top favorites. So glad you loved it and got to experience watching you react to it. Just beautiful.
Acting at its finest, everyone was great, and an incredible script and storyline, fun fact here in Boston the Park bench is a memorial site dedicated to Robin Williams
That's the reaction you can have to a film that is equally skillful in its writing, directing, and acting. Damn, Affleck, Van Sant, Williams, Driver, and Skarsgard did excellent work.
Incredible movie ain't it? That park bench scene is so telling and one of my favorite scenes in film. Looking forward to seeing more of your reactions.
Seriously, for it to be written by them starting in high school and to be turned into one of the greatest movies ever made will always put Matt and Ben high on my list of most talented. My wife at the time and I both cried in a lot of parts. The chemistry was so good. The writing is top notch if you can't really tell if there is ad lib, acting choice or just the writing itself is indistinguishable. I can always rewatch this movie. Never gets old.
Hey Steph, this is such a unique storyline, it's so very unique - an abused genius, traumatized and broken needs to find his deep needed healing from grief and redemption. ------ Skylar can't save him. ------- Sean can't save him. ------ He has built up so many defense mechanisms that he couldn't let his guard down with his friends, scientific peers, or the woman he wanted to love. ------ He can't be honest and transparent with anybody. Sean has to break him down and let him expose himself and fix himself from within for the real breakthrough to happen. WOAH.
So Steph, its time to drive into the Robin Williams movie vault and discover all the absolute classics that he has been a part of. ----- Let's start with, Dead Poet's society, Good Morning Vietnam, What dreams may come, Patch Adams, Jumanji, Captain Hook, and so many more.
Almost everyone misses the joke at 19:47 when Will says "F you" and Sean replies "You're the shepherd.". Robin is doing a play on the words "you" and "ewe", a female sheep.
Always thought it was more of a ‘Boston joke’ or stuff they’d joke/talk about out East. Like “your bustin my balls’ you don’t really hear that outside of the east coast. But that’s good to know, thanks
I cry every time I watch this film as well. It was my favorite movie of all time for several decades and is still at the top of my list. I guess that's partially because as a fellow underachiever, I can relate to Will and all that potential he wastes. Thanks for reacting to it.
Step- Your reaction was beyond perfect. In not being able to define with words how this movie touched your sole, made sharing this experience with you so great. It was raw & real. Thanks for sharing your emotions with us. Also in a non-lecherous way, as a "Hot Mess" you still appear beautiful in front of the camera. I'm looking forward to more reactions in all sorts of movie genre's in the future from you. All the best, M-
I was stuck in Atlanta for a computer conference when this came out. It was showing near my hotel and out of 10 or somovies i randomly picked this one. Maybe partly because Will is a nickname for William as is Bill. Watching this was the highlight of the week for me.
Been through a loooot of therapy myself and this movie really spoke to me in terms of having the moments of realization in a session where you discover something about yourself or figure something out you never thought you could. But the compassion sean shows will throughout is also something that hits very close to home with the dynamic between me and my former therapist. Makes ya reminisce^^
Loved this reaction, the movie is so powerful that it is pretty much impossible to not ugly cry through it! The lasting impact is just knowing the level of trauma they tackle actually has a lasting impact. We feel happy about his ability to move forward with his life and open up to new things, but that trauma will always be there for him, and I think the movie does an amazing job of tackling that idea. Sean never makes it seem like he will be cured, but always puts forward that things can be managed to feel better. I always found the bitter sweet sadness in this film at the end, because that trauma they introduce, you know hasn't disappeared, but countered by Will's new ability to remove that trauma from impacting his ability to move forward and trust new people.
Your genuine reaction is what we come for. This is still one of my favorite movies, and im glad I got to watch you be just as captivated as I was on the first watch.
I really need to start watching this Movie more often; it's been so long that I'd honestly forgotten how Good it is, and how Hard it hits!💘 Thanks for this one Steph, and No Complaints here about the Edit (not even the length), it's Perfect as far as I'm concerned...and I'm still Smiling! 😊👍
Enjoyed your reaction, subscribed! I discovered your channel (because of GWH). Via a mutual friend, I met Damon & Affleck in L.A. in 1995. They were in the process of negotiating to get GWH produced. At that time, Damon looked almost sickly skinny. This was because he was preparing to shoot "Courage Under Fire" (👍) with Denzel Washington & Meg Ryan, in which he played a drug addicted former soldier. We all hung out for a while, during which time Damon won $300 off my then business partner using an obviously marked deck of cards (which is the reason I didn't play). *You should watch Damon in the poker backdrop of "Rounders" with John Malkovich & Edward Norton 👍. I'm glad you didn't delay your reaction. A core philosophy of my favorite band is: "Don't think. FEEL." Art can evoke visceral reactions that are authentic and often relatable. IMO, that's how reaction channels should work. Thank you.
Thank you for showing your emotions. This movie changed my life and made me take a good hard look at myself. Many tears have been shed every time I watch this movie. It doesn't help that Robin died and he was a big part of my childhood.
Great reaction and I'm glad it was as moving for you as it was for me. The performances of everyone is fantastic, the camerawork was subtle but excellent, fantastic writing and complimentary score. Classic for a reason. The editing was really good so don't feel bad for the slightly shorter length. I think you still got to show the most important bits and your reactions to them. Keep up the great work
You're lovely. Your reaction was clearly honest. I love the dimple above your heart. A strange dynamic to observe people in this way. I loved your reaction from top to bottom.
Great reaction, thank you! Good cinema is made to move you, I loved this movie, first because of Robin Williams, his performance as a “southie” was phenomenal! What is awesome is your “realness” to the movie. It moved you! Don’t worry about everything else, keep doing things like this! It keeps people coming back! I am also watching your reaction to BOB. I am watching yiur reaction because, to me, yiur as real as it gets! Great job!
Loved your reaction!!! Such a great soundtrack that matches too by Elliott Smith! Two of the best speeches in any movie I've ever seen by Sean and Chucky.
I don't come from a broken home. I had it good. But, as I got older, most of my new friends came from some chaos. While I saw this in my teens, I've had the honor of showing this masterpiece to many of my new friends. I'm an empath. And the painful experiences I've had to hear about still tear me apart. This film is a tool. It is a healing piece of art. ❤
That’s a really good point! I don’t believe I made a comment regarding her in the RUclips version, but she had me crying during the big fight between her and Will when she’s telling him she loves him and he ends up saying he doesn’t.
I didn’t like until the end. Thank you for keeping it authentic. That was the most precious time of the reaction for me. Frankly I was surprised to see such a delayed and genuine reaction. God Bless, I’m subscribing.
I adore this movie. It makes me weep every time. As someone who actually had a really unusual education history and rough go of adjusting socially myself, I find myself relating to it more and more each year. As I continue to grow, and learn/admit more about my own weakness and defense mechanisms, I realize this movie is even closer to home than I realized when I first saw it. Just a wonderful, cathartic experience. So happy to share in your first reaction with you. Subscribed.
No shame getting emotional when you watch this. I've cicrled back to this movie many times in my life and each time theres something new to learn or consider or...get emotional about. Great reaction ✌️
Can I fall in love with this woman any more?! Brilliant reaction on a classic film! I cry every time! Do the color purple. Another one I always cry to even though I’ve seen it countless times.
Just caught your reaction to this amazing film. Who knew a genius comedian can also be a genius drama actor. Referring to Robin Williams of course. All of the actors were great. The chemistry between RW and MD was real which makes the characters believable. My favorite scene is BA showing his love for his friend MD by lecturing him on life's opportunities. I would have been disappointed if you didn't cry. In fact, anyone who doesn't cry watching this film probably need to see a therapist. There's no "ugly crying" in life, only good humans.
This is such a great film. I use this film as a barometer of people that watch film. I've literally seen this film over a dozen time and I've never failed to shed tears. Robin Williams and Matt Damon are so amazing... but so is the rest of the cast. It doesn't take a false step the whole way through. Your reaction was pitch perfect. . So... I'm subscribing! Since you loved this one... I've got some absolutely brilliant films to recommend. They all feature fantastic story / acting / direction / cinematography / special effects. Most are totally under the radar gems: ARRIVAL: Probably the greatest alien-invasion story of all... Realistic.. surprising ... beautifully told. CHILDREN OF MEN: The great director, Alfonso Cuaron knocks it out of the park with this near-future dystopian tale. This one gets pretty dark... but is so incredible. GRAVITY: Another Cuaron film... this one starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in this epic space adventure. PLEASANTVILLE: (Toby Maguire and Reece Witherspoon.. Joan Allen and William H. Macy) Starts off a comedy, but quickly veers into a brilliant look at society. Really hilarious, inventive and beautiful. STRANGER THAN FICTION: Will Ferrell in a non-comedic role... He's funny in some parts, but this is the most underrated, wonderful little films I've ever seen. A host of excellent actors and a great story moves this along beautifully. Absolute magic. AMELIE: Speaking of magic... This French film features some of the greatest magical filmmaking imaginable. A beautiful, creative love story told with amazing music and cinematography. Every scene is delightful. You'll love these films, Steph... ...and once you've seen them, like Good Will Hunting, you'll never forget them. Cheers!
First off, wonderful reaction! These kids wrote such a great, well thought-out, deeply emotional screen play, it's beyond belief. Robin Williams, what can you say, I've loved him since Mork & Mindy and his performance in this was over the top. This may not be my top movie (in the top ten for sure), but it's my top for watching peoples reactions and your reaction made me tear up. The editing top tier, commentary great and well placed, attention to detail and comprehension on point. I see you haven't done many reactions, but you are better than 90% of the many reactors I follow. Now excuse me, I have to binge watch your list of movie reactions.
Good Will Hunting is an all-time favourite for many of us (rightly so)! You were definitely not the only one who was ugly crying during the film. The writing and performances were superb and the characters felt very relatable to me. The plot developed and the dialogue was delivered in such an organic manner that it seemed as if these were real life people in real life situations. Both Matt Damon's attitude, intellect and emotional breakdowns, as well as Robin Williams' life experience, patience and care really sold it for me.
Remembering the many reactions I watched, I can tell you that your emotion wasn't too much: it was the same as mine and that of so many other fans of the film. This is the first video of hers that I've seen and I've already joined your channel. 😊
Hon you did this amazing film reaction justice and ya emotions are just due to failing with stuborness and finding that 1 person in life that just gets you ...GREAT REACTION TO MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME
You know Steph, not everything in life requires explanation. Sometimes it’s simply enough to allow others to “feel” YOU. So many understand without words. Now, as for this movie…. I have seen it numerous times, and I watch almost every reaction to it, on here. This movie demands immediately that the audience cheer for Will. He’s an emotionally torn young man, turned Antagonist, who suddenly is seen as someone who is gifted, but unmotivated. Because of this, the audience begins to value Will and cheer for him. They loved his sneaking around solving the mathematical equations that had taken some ppl two years to solve. During this time, we enjoy Will getting the best of the Psychologists. We enjoy Will going to bat for his friend, against the grad. student from Harvard, and winning. We also like him and Skyler together, so suddenly Will shifts to the Protagonist. This feel good movie is such, because it renews hope. It gives the viewer hope. Will goes on to “get better”, all the while also helping Robin Williams character to reassess his own life situation, and try again. All in all, every one wins … except we are left hanging on whether Will ever found Skyler again and they got back together and had a wonderful life. But I believe that was intentional, because it allows every invested viewer to dream their own appealing ending. The biggest moment in the movie was Robin Willams incredible monologue, by the duck pond. It made Will think, as well as every viewer, causing all to take inventory of each persons life. I enjoyed your reaction … loved your heart. 👏🏻
Little did I know the extraordinary movie I was in for when I was stuck in Atlanta for a conference and randomly picked this one to watch partly because Will is another nickname for William. I think I own 3 copies of it.
Such a journey watching this with you. Thank you. Think your crying is bad? I was 16, already 6'5, and I couldn't get up from my seat in the theatre. I was a wreck. There were a few of us, scattered around, just... weeping. It was that kind of movie.
I love the movie, and loved your reaction. A tearjerker every time, but not in a sappy, melodramatic way. It's a rare Hollywood film that really tries to tackle some of these issues. In addition to all the relationships (Will-Sean, Will-Skyler, Will-Chuckie) the Sean-Gerald relationship is also really interesting. Really, nobody in the film is a bad person, though Gerald is a bit sleazy with his female students. But his goal with Will is really good, even if he can't see beyond his own way of doing things. Again, thanks for the honesty of your reaction, and for posting the film reaction for us all to enjoy.
❤ don't feel bad, that's exactly how you're meant to feel. I know you said you're hoping for something fun next but when you're ready again, Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump and The Green Mile are guaranteed to hit all the feels
For all his amazing humourous take on everything, somehow this is the Robin WIlliams I always remember. This and the teacher from 'Dead Poets Society'. Oh, and everybody did a fantastic job, from the writing to the acting. Thank you for this reaction!
@@cinemawithsteph None of us have forgotten and are patiently waiting for your reaction to either Dead Poets Society, The Green Mile, or The Shawshank Redemption.
It's my first time watching your reaction and I really enjoyed it, being that this is probably my top 3 favorite movies! You are adorable... you have a new subscriber!!
It's in my top 3 movies all time. it's just done so perfectly, and to think they wrote this at like what 24? It's a constant reminder of the phenomenon that was Robin Williams. He has a way to make everyone feel human. Robin and the professor scene before Will walks in is *chefs kiss* "And why does he hang out with those stupid gorillas as you call them? Because anyone of them if he asked them to, would take a fucking bat to your head. That's called loyalty."
Wow. Your reaction was one of the best on RUclips. You are easily one of my favorite movie reactors. You react even better than most seasoned RUclips reactors with over 100K subscribers. You display genuine emotions and don't always talk over the dialogue. I hope you start posting some big movies on your channel. I am always waiting and anticipating you to drop something new. Thanks for such a great reaction.
I’m a fully grown man, retired military with 20 years of service, and this movie makes me cry. Every. Single. Time. My dad was a drunk and drug addict, and I was the one who had to call 911 the night he tried to kill my mom. A year later, he had remarried another addict, and when he slapped her, her son, a senior in high school, and a very gifted athlete… very strong, went in to defend her. And my dad put his face through a glass coffee table. I joined the service out of high school to get away from home and be my own man, and four months into my time in the service my dad was sent to prison for the first time. I met my wife two years into my career. She was the first woman I ever dated who wasn’t totally psycho, and she was the first person besides my mom who loved me for me and not for what I could do for them. Most of all, she was the first woman who ever gave me hope for a peaceful life. My life literally began to change the day we met, and we celebrate our 29th anniversary in a couple months. My wife literally made me want to be a better man. And because of that, this movie makes me process all the crap I dealt with growing up, and it kills me every time I watch it. But I still do because it’s a great movie, and because it reminds me to be grateful for the grace she showed me to help me get through what I could never get over. And that’s why my biggest goal in life was not to have a great career (even though I did), but to be a good husband and a good father. I was not and am not perfect, and my failures have definitely left me with some regrets, but I did my best and I am thankful every day for the motivation her love gives me to never give up. I retired from the service because of disability. I have had 33 hospitalizations since 2012, please about three times as many ER visits (catch and releases is a fishing term, I now use when they decide to not keep me, lol). But she still motivates me to keep going and give each day my best. I’d have never gotten to this point if it wasn’t for her love.
Beautiful reaction. And loved the after “real” reaction. This movie just hits emotions. It’s just good! On sooo many levels from a film perspective: Thanks for honest response.
This is my favorite film. I seen it at the theaters with my dad. The ending where Robin Williams says that SOAB stole my line was improvised by Robin Williams and Gus the director kept that in the film
Loved this reaction video. It's such a great movie. It was fun seeing you respond to some of these scenes that I know so well, having seen it dozens of times. (PS You also have the best laugh ever 😊)
It won two (2) Academy awards (Best Writing and Best Supporting Actor by Robin Williams) and best Screenplay by Matt and Ben as a Golden Globe award. It had over a dozen awards world wide. Matt got best breakout performance as well. I think it's one of my favorite films of all time as well, and certainly one of Matt's best performances. The scene when he loses it with his girlfriend is fantastic acting. I had to rewind it to watch your reaction because, even though I have seen it dozens of times, it drew me in and I realized I hadn't paid any attention to what your were doing. My favorite scene in the movie is when they're on the park bench. Edit: My other favorite from Matt Damon is The Martian. It's actually fantastic. If you haven't seen it, you definitely will find it a good watch for your channel.
Wow! First time for me to see you. This movie is on my top 10 but you're a top 5 person for me, holy cow!! You're as perfect as a young lady can be :) Thank you for posting.. although it is tough knowing someone like you is out there ;)
Sean’s bench monologue, chuckie’s speech and Sean’s “it’s not your fault” get me every time.
If I remember correctly the Robin Williams parts were pure ad lib and spur of the moment script changes that he did
For me it 's the "What do you want to know?" exchange with Skylar.
He did it in one take.
Indeed they do. I was really vibing with you on this one.
It’s a masterpiece, truly. It’s why they won the Oscar for Og script, why Williams won an Oscar for supporting actor.
BTW, your 'shortened' reaction was perfect.
Near perfect editing and for movies of this quality less commenting is best.
Don't apologise for genuine emotions! There's nothing wrong with things such as empathy! Loved your reactions and will definitely watch more
Same. I watch reactions for the genuine emotional reactions and tune out if I feel something isn't authentic.
The "visiting hours" line destroys me everytime
This movie stands out for the great acting performances from everyone involved. And your reaction was amazing too, thank you.👏
Steph, your commentary at the end was so amazing, so sincere, so jaw dropping.
"Known someone who could level you with her eyes"
Yep, i cry everytime
Yeah totally agree wow
Don’t worry, I tear up every single time. Chuckie was a great friend who wanted the best for his friend, even if it meant Will going on and doing big/better things. Sean helped Will and Will helped Sean.
Good Will Hunting is definitely in my Top 10! Also, it turned me on to my all-time favorite musical artist, Elliott Smith. A few of his songs are in this film, including the end credit song "Miss Misery"
Whenever people ask me about my favorite movie of all time, this film always fights for the top spot. Beautiful. Hurts so good.
Hurts so good is the perfect way to put it!
I've seen this movie countless times and i still love it damon and williams have great chemistry together
Beautifully said! With everything you contribute in the comments, it seems like you’d be great at doing reactions yourself!
Sorry! I was running into so many copyright issues that I ended up chopping it up so much. I really appreciate that :) thank you!
7:18 "This is such a feel-good, I'm enjoying this so far" She said all that already before the mystical angel Robin Williams appears
I cannot watch that film without crying. God bless you Steph. You're so full of love.
Just found your channel and really enjoyed this. It’s the kind of reaction we hope for when someone watches a movie we also love. Sweet and genuine.
There is no better monologue than when Sean is schooling Will on the bench. Epic!
Right there with you 😅

Your reaction was beyond perfect.
All the best,
M-
Wow thank you so much for that. I really appreciate it. The movie really is just… a lot. In the best possible way
I was stuck in Atlanta for a computer conference when this came out.
Great reaction Steph , you know the film moved you when you don't have words after it . Sorry you had copyright issues ...So glad you have Patreon
Much appreciated! It was frustrating but I’m just glad everyone can see some of it at least
I swear, ever time the "It's not your fault" scene is on, someone in my house is cutting onions. It never fails to happens.
Your genuine reaction is what we come for. This is still one of my favorite movies, and im glad I got to watch you be just as captivated as I was on the first watch.
The thing that amazes me about this video is how deep it is. Matt and Ben were so young when they wrote it.
Thank you! I like to try to make them longer personally, but I’m glad you still enjoyed it :)
@@cinemawithsteph Oh I knew I would, and We All know You did the Best that You could too.
It's just after 4 am. I have been up with my sick dog, and I found your channel. It helped pass some time. Can't wait to see what you watch next.
I relate to it making you take a good hard look at yourself. I think that’s part of what hit so hard about it
Great reaction and I'm glad it was as moving for you as it was for me. The performances of everyone is fantastic, the camerawork was subtle but excellent, fantastic writing and complimentary score. Classic for a reason.
The editing was really good so don't feel bad for the slightly shorter length. I think you still got to show the most important bits and your reactions to them. Keep up the great work
Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear it :) it always makes me a little nervous. Editing isn’t my strongest skill
You're lovely. Your reaction was clearly honest. I love the dimple above your heart. A strange dynamic to observe people in this way. I loved your reaction from top to bottom.
This is what movies.. music is all about... feeling something real! Loved watching it with you.
'Can't think of anything to say?
No harm, no foul;
it's just
that wonderful of a movie.
A beautiful reaction; I love your emotional honesty. Anyone who’s seen the film knows why you’re crying.
You are adorable. I love when people show feelings and empathy. So, so important as a human being. Greetings from Finland😊
I always have to hold back tears when Sean calls Will "Son"; there's SO MUCH there in that word!
Notice how he starts the movie with "chief" and other dismissive names, but ends the movie calling him son. So beautiful.
Really good movie. I thought Minnie Driver's performance gets lost sometimes.
That’s a really good point! I don’t believe I made a comment regarding her in the RUclips version, but she had me crying during the big fight between her and Will when she’s telling him she loves him and he ends up saying he doesn’t.
Yep. Her crying felt very real. Not to change the subject, but do you plan on doing any horror reactions?
@@clintmorrison5863 Yeah. Shaun Of The Dead! Lol
love seeing reactions like yours where the reactor is emoting more than speaking
I didn’t like until the end. Thank you for keeping it authentic. That was the most precious time of the reaction for me. Frankly I was surprised to see such a delayed and genuine reaction. God Bless, I’m subscribing.
My wife recently spent a few days running around Boston. All i asked for was a picture of that bench where Ribin and Matt sat and talked.
Thank you so much for sharing a cathartic cry with all of us🤗
Your reaction was perfect. Your channel deserves to grow. I look forward to checking out your content both existing and future.
Most are totally under the radar gems:
ARRIVAL: Probably the greatest alien-invasion story of all... Realistic.. surprising ... beautifully told.
Cheers!
Out of that list I’ve only seen Pleasantville (which is amazing)! They’ve all been added to my list, thank you!
Thank you! Don’t judge the earlier ones too badly 😅
I love this movie so much. And I enjoyed re-experiencing it with you. I don't cry as much like when I first watched it but it still makes me tear up.
I loved your reaction! I never stay for the end "discussion" but did for you and it was worth it! Your reaction was beautiful and so are you!
Thank you so much!
This is exactly what I wish I could’ve articulated in the wrap up. Thank you for this!
@@cinemawithsteph Glad you liked the movie as much as you did ^.^
The algo knows I love watching people cry to Good Will Hunting, bringing me this fresh vid

One of my favourite films of all time and I always watch it and people's reactions to it and I never fail to cry 100% everytime
This movie is phenomenal… some of the best acting and story telling ever. It’s such a beautiful picture.
❤ don't feel bad, that's exactly how you're meant to feel. I know you said you're hoping for something fun next but when you're ready again, Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump and The Green Mile are guaranteed to hit all the feels
This movie is in my personal top 5 list of all time. I'm glad you liked the movie too.
For all his amazing humourous take on everything, somehow this is the Robin WIlliams I always remember. This and the teacher from 'Dead Poets Society'.
Oh, and everybody did a fantastic job, from the writing to the acting.

It's my first time watching your reaction and I really enjoyed it, being that this is probably my top 3 favorite movies! You are adorable... you have a new subscriber!!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it :)

That’s incredibly kind of you, thank you! I’m intending to do a mix of big movies and smaller ones in the future :)
I’m happy the RUclips algorithms brought me to you today. Enjoyed your reaction. Thanks. Subbed.
Amazing and authentic reaction. Thank you for sharing with us. :)
Shoot, I cried with you and I knew every part of this masterpiece. Thanks for the reaction.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy the other content on the channel as well :)
Beautifully reacted, Steph... my first with you. I'll be back, as they say.😉
Great, honest reaction to a great film. Keep up the good work!
Wow! First time for me to see you. This movie is on my top 10 but you're a top 5 person for me, holy cow!!
You're as perfect as a young lady can be :)
Thank you for posting.. although it is tough knowing someone like you is out there ;)
No worries! This film still gets me emotional. A master class in screenwriting, performance and of course, Robin Williams.
