Wonderful work capturing our transport history. As a uni student in the 70s, I worked as a conductor out of the Ryde depot every Christmas holidays. Milton West was the paymaster who arranged for me to get a leather money bag rather than one of those "vinyl aqua sheilas bags' that were being rolled out. "Mac" was in the mechanics area and we would play cards during the lunch break. A great time that I remember fondly.

Great footage of a suburb I remember since childhood. We'd get on a Deanes bus on the 89 from Ryde Hospital to travel there in the late 70s to mid 80s. Loved the Lancet with the Gardner LW sweet note.
Loved seeing Parra Ryde's Ansair MAN SL202 with the rare Renk Doromat four speed box.
Rode that a few times and one memory that stands out was seeing it on rail departing Cheltenham for Beecroft with the engine revving away while loud music was playing inside with loud revellers partying!
Don't know what led to that but it must have been deafening inside.
