Great! There is something special about Sydney (and Nagasaki) trams at night - particularly full ones. I've been trying to (re)create a "mind's eye" of such scenes from my youth. This is pretty close.

Would have liked to see more of what was in front and not so much what was behind and road views. views

They could easily prohibit busses over a certain length to solve this problem. Seems like an easy fix.

There once was an actual QR station called Gloucester Street Station there but it has obviously been removed by 1980. The Cleveland Line to Lota would be electrified by 1982 and reopened to Cleveland by October 1987. The line beyond Lota was closed prematurely just a week after it had been issued 2000 class railmotors in October 1960.

Many of the old busses are actually hand me downs from Australia and New Zealand with those buses being sent to Fiji after being retired from service in their original networks! The oldest ones were built in the 1950s! :)

Great catch Greg! In all my decades of rail fanning..I've never heard a loco with pre-ignition, or what ever the hell is going on with that poor old 48! Last time I was at Ardglen, it was nothing but coal, so not very interesting. Cheers Gregg.

Great video, used to live in Leichhardt in the late 80's and used to watch the trains along that goods line. So many great memories. Good to see that it's still being used, unlike the one at Ropes Creek.

There was no need to rip up most of the system when the trams were added, it was a real pity. Sydney Harbour should be a working industrial harbour. Otherwise we may as well rename it Parramatta River all the way to the heads.
